also, snatch blocks are fun

Snatch blocks and blocking dunks are the best feeling as a paint protector. Also being able to not bite on a post fake move and still block a post shot
Only thing is that it is hard to grind with a big. Most of the stuff you do you dont get much XP for.

It sucks that some types are way easier to grind than others. Shot creator types are by far the easiest

Pure Rim protector may be best big man build in the game. It’s really hard to dunk on them and the are FAST which helps on offense if your smart. I can use my pure post score a lot then turn around and use my rim protector and score just as many points. But the defense is so NEEDED on this game where every big man is picking an archetype that gets gold posterizer.

Pure post may be most dominate archetype but a lightweight Pure Rim protector is the best big to counter the trends of the walk on and the park. In those modes your ONLY gonna see pure stretch 5s, slashing rebounders or rebounding athletics or something similar. All those get gold relentless finisher and posterizer and that’s what has risen to the surface as the cheese to do as a center this year

I've often wondered why there isn't more Slashing Rim Protectors, its the only build that gets Gold Posterizer and Gold Rim Protector, i guess the emphasis is on shooting or rebounding, what do you think about a Sharpshooting Rim Protector?

Got a 7'0" 280lb Slashing Rim Protector C to an 89 overall...it's an awesome build...sometimes I wish I went Pure Rim Protector when I see defensive badges maxed at Gold and I'm getting nothing for my good defensive plays but being able to back people down and dunk on them at times is awesome

What size/weight is your pure rim protector? I made a 7'2" default weight guy but I didn't like him because of the lack of speed

If that build gets gold defensive stopper then i don’t see why it’s not a good build. If it only gets silver defensive stopper that’s a problem. I believe it only gets silver shooting badges so to me thatll work if all your shooting is open shots. That is actually one of the best builds for how i play. The 8 games of the combine i managed to play that’s the build i actually used and i loved it. Affected the game and really never really touched the ball.

Someone is gonna have to tell me why but the two way rebounder is the only build that gives me problems CONSISTENTLY. If someone told me that they wanna score rebound and play D at all elite levels i would tell you to make a two way rebounder. I think they get HOF outback king and posterizer. They are fast because rebounder and defender are fast big man archetypes this year. That build is godly and i don’t think ppl know it. Only reason i wouldn’t say it’s better than the rim protector or the pure post is because those builds can DOMINATE so EASILY on both ends at the same time if you know what your doing.

Yeah it gets Defensive badges gold and shooting silver, interestingly it gets Lob City Finisher and Posterizer on Silver which is good enough to get standing contact dunks against a non-defender build. That combine build was actually a Two Way Stretch

I really want to make the slashing defender C but don’t have it in my for another build.

Two way rebounder is great defensively . Not good at all offensively.

I also dont want all my clothes and accessories to get glitched smh.

If my sharpshooting rebounder ever got to a 99 sheesh !

HOF : hustle rebounder , bruiser , putback king , breakstarter

Gold : posterizer , rim protector , catch n shoot , corner specialist .

Silver : defensive stopper .

I wonder if i should of went with shot first slashing second played agaisnt a couple yesterday and damn they were making everything. Maybe its just cause i dont really have badges yet i only have relentless and difficult shot bronze

Shot first slashing second is better in my opinion. You shoot better and the slashing part of it is slashy enough

*except when you get transition dunks blocked by someone 5 feet behind you because your guy does a between the legs windmill that you thought you could pull off*
