There's no way someone can do enough testing on this to confirm it. IDK where some people get their ideas. The reason matchmaking is so poor of because hardly anyone truly makes PFs since height is such an advantage. You saw this especially during the early days of the combine. If 2ks population is 80% guards and wings, then 19 percent are all centers, the other 1% being true PFs it could probably make that difficult to program. That's a whole position on the floor that's negated by 3 inches. I really think 2k needs to rebuild this engine to make players more individual. Speed needs to matter, athleticism needs to be more valuable. Everyone wants to be Steph so the game caters to shooters. My pure slasher is pointless because without a reliable jumper, the floor doesn't get spaced properly. If we're going to continue in a fantasy 2k land where every tall player can shoot, finish, rebound, defend, even without the ratings and just due to height, wingspan, and your ability to spam the PF position will remain dead.
What's truly funny tho, 2 of my most dominant friends play PF at 6'10. They murder people constantly and can drop 40a game easily. Yet, their competition is forever still 7'3.
If the game wasn't geared towards shooting and rebounding being the 2 most valuable things in the game the meta won't change.
