What's a good option for me to have as a secondary to my 6'10" rebounding rim protector? Was thinking of a 6'7 or 6'8 Playmaking SG/SF of some sorts, either driving or shot creating.

Definitely go with a more offensive build this time around . Playmaking / Shot creators are popular . I think a playmaker / slasher is similar to a Bron/ Giannis Build. A Shot creator / Playmaker may be closer to a T-Mac Build .

Have not caught that yet! I did hit both variations of the Death Windmill in pro-am the other day. I need to start making montages again.

But my only issue is now I am a SF/PF....not a SF/SG....on the Witness Gaming video the 6'8 228 is SF/SG...I am assuming that changes when you level up the build?
It may have been when I got my ball control to 70 or just when I lvld up past 80, don't remember. But it switches to SF/SG forsure.

I have 2 builds and I can't figure out which one to commit to. I like them both but they each have their own advantages. They are both SF, first one is 6'9 210 Slashing/Playmaking the other is 6'8 220 Lockdown/Playmaking.

The slasher is an elite finisher. Purple one man, gold poster, acro, tear drop, all the finishing badges. He is an absolute monster in transition. Also his ball control goes up to 77 so he has pro dribble moves. When I play him I feel he is a monster on offense, playmakes well, and can get to the basket and finish at will. Where he struggles is defending the perimeter. lat quickness caps at 62 and all definsive stats in low 70s. I like to clamp people up and this guy although he is not awful, he limits me from being able to be the elite defender I want to be.

My 2nd guy I thought lets try trading elite finishing for elite defense. He is a great defender that can guard positions 1-4 without problem. He gets gold d stopper and rim protector, pick pocket, high 80s low 90s defensive stats. He has great athleticism and playmaking just like my other SF. Really he is surprisingly strong on the offensive end despite being a primary defender it amazes me. With that said, he still just does not have the finishing abilities as my slasher. He gets gold poster but his acro caps out at bronze which is really disappointing and he does not get tear dropper. Also ankle breaker capped at bronze. I like to play make and score in the paint, not much of a shooter. So the lack of finishing badges is kind of a bummer.

So I don't have a clue what to do. I wish I could have a blend of all 3: Playmaking / Defending / Finishing. If you thought immediately why not try Defender/Slasher? It's because I have always played PG, and am a pure PG IRL. It makes it really hard for me to play someone without playmaking abilities because of the style I play. I just wanted to try making a position other than PG this year cause I been a PG every year since 2k10 or 11 whenever the career mode came out. I skipped last year when archetypes came out and only played MyTeam. Want to get back into park/proam this year. Used to always make athletic balanced PG. Tempted to just go and make a pure PG.

          Anyone got ideas?

I'm sure this has been talked about so sorry if someone is repeating something already said.

When making a center...I'm hearing rebounding is a totally essential archetype to have this year?

I'd rather make a post scorer/finisher. But I think post scorer/rebounder might be a smarter way to go.

I'm basically undecided between post/rebound and rebound/defense. Rebound/defense is probably more useful for playing with randoms and as a backup big but F that, I know how to play the post game and I can get buckets lol

I didn't make any of those centers.

              I made Post/Athletic Finisher, Stretch/Playmaking, Slasher/Shotcreating, and a Slasher/Stretch....

I can snag boards and block shots with all of them and I know no problem last year playing defense against the cpu or humans with a 6'10 Post Scorer and a 7 Foot stretch big or my 6'10 Point Forward...

Thanks man because how fincky defensive stopper, I would be mad if it didn't work against guards... because of the secondary position of PF.

We both got defensive players, we should play together sometime.

When you’re slotted at SF it still won’t work against PGs even if they are 6’7

ShotCreator/Defender is a good archetype for offense/defense if you make one at 6'4.

On the park last year, it seemed to pop up whenever I was switched or matched up with someone.

Is it still like that or now it only works against who you are matched up with at the beginning of the match?

What archetype combo do you guys think would be best for a player who is similar to Zach Lavine?

Primary Shot Creator, Secondary Driving and Finishing?

                        I think I might go with that 6'11 Post/Slasher.

Long story short, the Shot Creating Playmaker I had grinded got erased. Not expecting to hear back from ticket support for a while. I just kind of want to make something I'll enjoy with the VC I have left over.

Any idea of which are the gold secondary badges of a playmaker (1st) slasher (2nd) SF?

They are supposed to be 5.
FT, glue hands and reflexes should be 3 of them, but what about the missing 2?

Btw I really miss the point forward build from 2k17.

My 6'8 point forward got 92 speed with the ball in 2k17.
In 2k18 my 6'8 slashing point forward will be maxxed out at 76 (83 if I had gone with a pure point forward).

Probably my fault lol. I remember complaining about how 6’8 Point fowards got 92 speed with ball but my 6’8 Lockdown only had 78 lateral quickness .
