Whenever I bring my PG to Pro- Am I can immediately tell who can and can't play team defense. Whenever I see a big man drop back deep into the paint repeatedly when his man is screening me is the second I know it's going to be a long game, because now I know the ones who are supposed to be anchoring the defense has no defensive IQ whatsoever.

Most don't understand the concept of switching. Most don't understand thr concept of show and recover.

Coming from a big man who prides himself on his defense, sometimes switching is just not a plausible option when you're playing with a defensively bad guard. Basically the opposite of your problem. I switch, but my teammates don't. Results in easy pick n rolls and I get negated the team grade because my teammates couldn't switch.

Hence the reason why I usually just try and show and recover at the most If switching the first time or two is a fail. I'd rather force the guard into a jumper then switch and not give up an easy dunk

What is the most effective center archetype for MyPark/walk-on ProAm?

I previously had a 87 Rebounding Post Scorer who was pretty fun to play in single player, but as we all know Post Scorers in the park don't get the ball from randoms. Even when they do, the spacing is horrible.

I'm almost glad he got deleted, so I can remake him into something useful.

Right now I am thinking 7'2 300 lb Pure Rebounder, Defensive Rebounder, or Rebounding Defender. Alternatively I also considered a Pure Athletic Finisher to help keep up on the perimeter. Any thoughts?

Bro, if you are making a big, don't talk about perimeter at all. No big can keep up on the perimeter. I have 7'3 300 pound pure athletic and he has 48 maxed speed.

The most common and most deadly bigs right now are rebounding finishers or athletic rebounders. Of course 7'3 and weigth is up to you but i would make him around 300 pounds too.

Keep in mind that all these builds are weak on defense and you will get banged on often. I havent ran into any pure defenders yet but im sure their offense is just as terrible as they are great on defense.

6'7 - 6'8 SG sounds like the best of both worlds for you

Are there any benefits to making a 6'7" - 6'8" SG over a SF (other than the aforementioned more opportunities because of the lack of SG talent)?

I'm looking at making a 6'10 small forward, primary is defence. Min weight, max wingspan.
Can't decide on what to make secondary, pretty open to something different/fun.
Been thinking secondary playmaker or sharp...
Any recommendations?

Seems like shot creator/slasher is quite legit or vice versa depending on whether you care more for shooting or more for dunking. Either way you can shoot mid range and dunk on dudes.

im semi torn between my 2 builds. my 1st & nearest to my heart is my 88ovr shot creating Slasher & my 87 ovr playmaking shot creator. stats wise the edge goes to my Shot Creator, but my Slasher bangs on everything & anyone.



My play-style is more inside - out.



The slasher allows me to slash effectively but the passing is not too great. Middies are pretty consistent. Can green open 3's sometimes. CATCHES BODIES



Shot creator is more versatile cuz i can facilitate on offense as well as stretch the floor a bit when necessary but as of now isnt a reliable finisher & doesnt get contact dunk animations. I think layups will be consistent when i max my guy based on ratings ive seen on Youtube







...typing this all out made me realize that doing the contact dunk glitch on my shot-creator might solve all my problems...hypothetically

If you dont have 100K+ VC to spend and play a lot of NBA games primarily, just put it as defending and playmaking for guards, or defending and rebounding for bigs. Im a shot creating sharpshooter and im closely guarded, like bear-hugging me closely guarded, every damn play whether the ball is a pass away or in the opposite corner. Honestly my only way to score is to drive because its so easy, yet i cant dunk even though its upgraded as much as possible. And if im playing against a good big man, forget it... Theyre gonna find a damn way to block my shot so my only prayer is to drive and kick 24/7, and because im so focused on scoring my teammates dont knock down shots as much as they should. That and if im not starting the play i never touch the ball, even though the commentators say im the #1 option and I still somehow find a way to put up 20+ as a starter.

Next year i really hope they bring back multiple practices a day, so calendar format, and give us an option to edit players ratings and tendencies in MyCareer. Not moving players or anything, just editing ratings, tendencies, etc.. That and sliders.

I also have a playmaking shot creator lol. I enjoy catching bodies but my shot creator is more versatile & more playing w/ randoms friendly since I can space the floor a bit

Think I'm selling myself short by not going with a more versatile build such as slashing shot creator? The mid range is +9, the 3 is +7. It has a better handle, and contact dunks. I'm mainly asking because my pro am team is starting to get together.

Thinking of making a pure lockdown C, with max height and max weight. Anyone try this build already or something similar to this?
