I didn't understand. Sorry but correct me if I'm wrong.

Only Gaurds using Defensive / Sharp and Defensive / Slasher get Pick Dodger on Gold?

They don't get Rim Protector at all like SF?

I worded it weird lol but yes only defensive primary guards as far as I know get pick dodger gold. They don’t get rim protector at all.

SF defensive primary builds get rim protector silver and pick dodger silver.

Gave in and made a 7’3 center . Game is easy mode with this guy . People still hit some crazy contested shots on me . It just looks even goofier when a pure sharp finishes over me but whatever .

Next I’m making a pure sharp and taking deep threes all game .

Re: Dual Archetypes Confirmed... Thoughts? Combinations?

My pro am team is actually just my 2 other friends and we compete even against good 5 man teams because we built players to each other's strengths.

Started out with a 6'3 shot creating playmaker at the 1, with me as a 6'10 slashing shot creator at the 3, and my other friend at the 5 with a 7'3 defensive post scorer.

Was okay, I can easily drop 40 a game with that build but for some reason it wasn't working.

My pg switched and made a 6'11 athletic defender. And he goes off. 20 boards and 5 blocks a game. He doesn't try to score at all unless he has to..but he has unorthodox post moves. Everyone drop steps and spins..but he's over here doing half spins and up and unders and no one can defend it it's funny.

So we needed a pg, but my other big man had a 6'9 playmaking shot creator sf. He basically started running point. But our weakness is still 3 point shooting...and basically we'd lose games because we got out gunned.

So I made a 6'8 sg pure sharp. 30+ a game and I've already hit 10 threes in a match without many badges.

So yea, the "build what works for you best" is true. Our lineup is unconventional, and we only run with 3 but yet we just beat a couple decent undefeated teams last night. See record don't mean much because I know with 3 we'll lose against 5 good players but we really keep it close even if we lose now.

Just build what you're best at, and if you're running with friends build off each other it makes a huge difference.

Made my final player. It's a player I've made every year that I lovingly refer to as a "Soft @SS C". That nickname was born in 2k15 when I used a stretch big in a game with a random and I received a message "u a SOFT @SS C, u need to get ur weight up"

6'11 235 Sharpshooter (Primary) Defender (Secondary)

                  I made a two way rebounder 7’3. I like that build at the 4 a lot .

Yoooooooooooo I love this new center of mine. I think it'll replace my post/rebounding C. This guy moves as fast as my guards on defense and well....he protects that paint (Except for those times I get "good shot contest!" and it goes in anyways)

I struggled big time with my shot, but once I find one that's comfortable for this player and it has badges, it'll be a very useful player in many scenarios.

I already felt a little more fun with this build than my fatass 7'3 player. He could be a nice stretch/defensive 4 or a small ball 5 build. Most importantly sometimes you just need a player who will spot up and space the floor, damn it. You definitely have to play with guards who know what they're doing though, lol

I can get my post scoring fix in PNO. That way I don't have to be frustrated in games where I get 0 post touches.

I will say, I like this player a lot but there's a few things I wish were different...

Why the hell does a sharp/defender big man have posterizer? lol. It's just bronze but I won't even have hustle rebounder or break starter. Not having a hustle rebounder badge isn't a big deal, but I do like to have break starter since most guards are past half court by the time I get the rebound (Which, by the way, is really annoying to me. Why do people choose to be a point guard and then just completely take off??? Then they get mad when you don't pass the ball. Sorry man I'm not risking a turnover just because you are on fast break autopilot)

made a new build post/slasher 7'1 and man i wish i would of do him from the begining instead of my post/rebounder. guy is a 72 overall and i was dominating games in walkon. he feels faster finishes better great ability of defense cause hes faster. can put it on the floor has 77 driving layup 70 driving dunk
can shoot midrange. i think he will become my main guy.

no rebounding badge sucks but I just hope he turns out to be atleast a competent defender since his defensive stats are only like 75 rating...

I think everybody in this game can be a competent defender if you have the IQ for it. I feel like having a defensive archetype/badges just gives you cheat code-esque animations or lets you get away with stuff that'd be a foul for most others. But most of the time you can hold your own without it.

I only choose it for the speed difference, but this guy really doesn't feel much slower on that end than any of my guards. Makes me really wonder how effective some attributes really are. I wish I could test side by side the difference between shooting/rebounding and shooting/defense. But I can't. Because 2k

I do enjoy that I've gotten more opportunities to say "#@$% outta this paint" lol

I think you are right. There is barely any difference in speed unless its like 20 points or so. I love rejecting *@#$ with my slashing rebounder (He got silver rim protector and chase down). I even have like almost 10 snags where you just catch the block lol.
