How is the midrange with that build? And are you playing any pro am?
I am. Pro am is streaky as far as 3s go, but If I catch it wide open, at the line, I will pull. Given his rating, I should not be pulling with this confidence. Mid is at 69, with 3 bars left. I expect 74-75 as a max.

I use the 3s and mids to set up the drive and vice versa. I stand by this being westbrook, minus some shooting(although he's not a great 3 point shooter). Pull up game feels wonky, but I'm hoping it's due to the fact that I'm not getting a bonus like shot creators.

As far as driving: I got my final ball control attribute at First Bar of 89 overall. That gives you 86 ball control which unlocks the "first steps". The formula which controls contact dunks is based on speed/momentum, Strength, vert, and dunk ratings so I can punch it on anything in the way(Gold posterizer).

You get some of the playmaker passes as well.

I will say I Run the 2 guard. Some people are having dunking issues, and it may be linked to PG currently, so full disclosure

Re: Dual Archetypes Confirmed... Thoughts? Combinations?

Pretty sure speed of 7'3 max weight is simply glitched, im getting out paced down the court by them when i use 6'10 post scorer+defender.
      THIS IS A PROBLEM.

A 7'3 Pure Post Scorer has a max of:

      39 Speed
      33 Acceleration
This doesn't even factor in the fact the was max weight, 340 lbs.

WHY is he beating my 60 speed guy down the court and able to keep up with my brother's 78 speed guy down the court?

By this logic, any big man who is not maxed height/weight is at a laughable disadvantage, this is a massive, massive problem if this is happening consistently...

It also makes my 6'11 shot creating post scorer (who I made 6'11 and a slightly lower weight for more speed) seemingly pointless now.
I agree with you guys' feeling that 7'3" 340-pound centers move way too quickly in game.

I have a 6'8" 240 small forward with high-60s speed/acceleration, and I have noticed possessions where those 7'3" 340 big men are able to run stride for stride with me down the court during transition.

Something is definitely off with the way that the speed/acceleration ratings are being translated in game.

The difference between 6'8" 240 and 7'3" 340 speed/acceleration should be huge, but I don't feel like I have any actual advantage in athleticism right now whenever I get matched up with one of those cheeseballs.

2K definitely needs to adjust their global speed threshold slider until there's a more noticeable in-game separation between a 60 rating and a 30 rating.

the problem is that a 30 and 60 speed has very minuscule difference. My 48 speed 25 bar max atheltic finisher does not feel faster than any other big builds even though im 40 pounds lighter and supposed to be a pure athlete.

Anybody made a pure stretch or stretch/defense? I feel like with all these max weight max height centers clogging up the paint, having a stretch would be pretty valuable. Havent seen as much stretch as I thought I would considering how common they were in 17.

            Exploring some PF builds.

Using 2klab and looked at a primary: rebounding secondry: slasher

The attribute and badges look good at 6'9. Good enough speed and defense to be a rim protector, great chance to be a pick and roll and putback guy on the offensive boards.

            Opinions?

I keep bouncing between PG and PF for my second build and just cant decide

Stretch bigs are not going to bring the other team's bigs out of the paint when the other team is in a zone defense. If you're setting up on the wing or the top of the key, then you'll just end up being guarded by someone who's 6'4" to 6'10", and you won't be able to do anything out there aside from sitting still and staying spotted up since stretch bigs don't have enough speed to make off-ball cuts, and they don't have any dribbling, driving, or pullup ability whenever they do have the ball.

A stretch big playing the corner three role isn't a great fit, either, because it's best to give those spots to archetypes that are able to punish hard closeouts on the catch with a quick drive or pullup shot.

Shot creators and slashers are the best archetypes for the corner three role IMO.

And a smaller sharpshooter that can cut and dribble is the best archetype for the wing.

I made a rebounder defender with that height I'm so fast and can rebound against 7"3 builds.

I went defender for rim protector gold

I am going to remake my lost 7'2" 300lb Rebounding Post Scorer as a 7'3" 340lb Pure Glass Cleaner.

Post Scorers get no love in Pro-Am or the Park...at least I can be useful.

The odds of ever getting above level 90 on this alt are slim, so I need an archetype that works pretty well out of the box.

                        Which would you pick?

SF 6'8 Pure Slasher - contact dunk machine
SF 6'8" Playmaking Slasher - contact dunks + pro dribble moves?
SG 6'4" Playmaking Slasher - contact dunks + speed boost
After trying all of these builds out in the Prelude, I ended up going with none of the above.

I ended up making a SF 6'8" Shotcreating Slasher and the midrange threat really opens up the driving lanes online. Didn't have to give up much on dunks (I've been considering the newsstand boosts).

At level 86 my ball control is already at 74. I am really hoping I don't have to wait too long for another ball control upgrade. Pro dribble moves would be the icing on the cake.

I do not know. Seems like slashing playmaker (primary) would work too. Just seems a Westbrook build should be faster with the ball than that combo would be. He is really all three.

Yeah I mean he is ultra fast with the ball, but that build lacks the scoring to it.

Yeah the ultra fast speed that comes with that build really is nice. The only thing is that it doesn't shoot well at all, and with my pro am team I really need that pull up jumper.

I think I'mma ride with the shot creator first, slasher second. I just hope I catch bodies at a high rate with 84 dunk and silver posterizer.

Should I max my wingspan? The 3-ball will go from 77-74.
