If you wanna roll with a 60 overall slasher shot creator I can do that too lol.

Again better than a 60 but the skills are annoyingly low

I really like them both, I just bring whichever one suits the people around me best. I really like my SC/Slasher for park, and my PM/Sharp for pretty much anything. I initially thought my 3rd player would be a sharpshooter, but I'm thinking of making a big man for park---mobile, defends, grabs boards, etc.

I might go with a PG Playmaker slash or sharp

Just sucks the sharp doesn't get HoF badges.

Both those builds are nice. If I could do it again, I'd probably do playmaker/slasher---it just meshes more with what I do. But since I already had shot creator/slasher (My get-buckets player) I decided to do playmaker sharp for a second guard, which I'm honestly not as good with because doing that dribble cheese into an open 3 isn't my natural game. But I chose it because as a walk on player, I'll be doing much more catching and shooting.

I am really upset that I made my 7'1 Playmaking Sharpshooter instead of a 7' Playmaking Sharpshooter...

            He's already a 72 ovr and I got like 5 bronze badges...

I ain't going back to make a 7 foot Playmaking Sharpshooter...

            I really can't stand 2K...

I've took leap of faith contacting 2k support to refund my player, I doubt they will even respond haha. But yea such option to delete player and refund invested VC on attributes would be sensible, but not for 2k..

It would be good if we could actually sell players we no longer wanted to the community. Instead of that T-shirt creating booth, have an auction house for our saves. Would never happen, but we can only hope!

An underrated build i am using right now is 6'6 220 lbs SF sharpshooting slasher.

This allows you to be a very versatile threat in many areas.

                  - 25 ! Badges

                  - With midrange at 77 or 78 and 3 pt at 75 shooting looks meh at first. But this build has many shooting badges at silver (catch and shoot, corner specialist, deep range deadeye, limitless range) and bronze (midrange deadeye, tireless scorer, diff shots) so you are able to shoot in any way and almost always trigger a badge to help you out.

                  - Driving is no problem either with gold badges for relentless finisher, posterizer, acrobat, omfb. Driving dunk cap on 84 and vertical at 86. Can even get the vince carter package.

                  - Rebounding is great i feel like barkley out there. 86 vertical and 74 rebounding combined with bronze hustle rebounder works wonders. Decent strength at 68 or 70 as well and silver putback king.

                  - Passing is 70 but i still get my assists.

                  - Post scoring maxes at 68 but my player can still work with what he has down low and be effective.

                  - Speed with ball caps at 70 but im counting on one man fast break here. I am able to run the break decently as it is with 60 speed with ball but expect great improvement with the badge and stat upgrade.

Anyway...great build ! You can vary with being be a perimiter threat or cut inside for dunks / rebounds. I am playing a bit like charles barkley grabbing boards and running the fast break right now but he seems very all around and im having great fun.

Been contemplating my player for a while now as i usually grind only one each year. Last year was a tall playmaking pg (magic johnson clone) but he couldn't shoot like this guy and would only dunk open lanes.

I think it's an alright build. A horrible build for casual or less wealthy players. I think it's the type of build that doesn't make sense unless you have this playstyle, buy VC and fully grind the badges(meaning you have the time AND money to focus only on this character). A person who doesn't have the money to buy VC will have a horrible time starting with poor 3pt and poor to below average slashing ratings compared to his competitors while having to slog through countless games with said horrendous ratings to get those badges.

True , i started with 40k vc i saved up from mygm and managed to get myself to an 70 ovr and buy some dunks.

At that point you are decent like a rookie should be and quite versatile already. But when i further improve my skillset i will dominate hard and will be a triple double machine (mostly career player not park).

Most badges come natural as you have 25 badges and almost every action will count towards a badge somehow. I love how the badge system is set up this year, i will just let it come naturally and not have to force things like previous years.

For me its really a gem archetype as i feel so all around. Just a bit sad that i was a sf / pf but after upgrading i am a sf / sg ??

I actually stuck with just one player for once this year which is crazy for me.

Guess that means I'm happy with my build.

                        6'10 250 lbs small forward
                        Shot creator/Slasher

In my opinion, there are no weaknesses.

The only time I ever had "problems" is when I was in at the 2 against a 6'3 playmaker who liked to zig zag off of screens from both big men..but I feel like that's more of a game issue than a build issue.

I'm not the kind of guy who takes contested 3s in the first place, so I'm a decent shooter when I'm given space.
Obviously I'm better off the dribble, so if I get a screen or an iso and get space I'm popping a 3. Decent at catch and shoots tho to be honest for what my 3 rating is. Which is a 78 I believe.

Obviously I can drive. I haven't been lucky with my attribute caps so my layups are only at an 80 now.. But I got relentless finisher silver working on gold. Just got posterizer last night.
But my one hall of fame badge is tear dropper. I won't lie. I never do floaters but I need to start because why not lol
I get a lot of dunks tho, and if I do miss, being 6'10 means I get boards.

Underrated playmaker. If you make smart passes you can easily draw a double due to your offensive ability and kick to a shooter.

I get a lot of blocks and chasedowns.

I get a lot of mismatches. Either you're a big and too slow to stop the drive, or you're a guard and too small to stop the post fades or I'll just bully and drop step.

I average 26 and 10..had a game where I dropped 45. Had almost a 20 rebound game and multiple triple doubles.

I was worried about speed at first but tbh it doesn't seem to matter so much. I wouldn't change anything.

I just made a 7'3 340 lb pure post scorer.

Post moves have always been my thing and I'm a good defender regardless. See the thing is, I see defenders getting abused on boards and on drives so why waste my time with a build who can't hurt em back.

Most underrated build last year except I got my contact dunks being 7'2 this year I get em at 7'3? Nah. Lol it's time to kill all these bum centers I see who cant do anything but dunk.

worth it to make 6'11 slashing rebounder to play the 4?

                            63 speed
                            all contact dunks

gold brick wall and break starter

or should i go taller and lose the contact dunks and speed but be better rebounder?

                              Depends what you're playing.

All I see in pro am walk on is 7'3 bums who can't do anything but clog the paint.

So I'd say your best bet at the 4 is to stretch the floor for your offense. But by doing that you're basically being the supporting player and not gonna score or board much.

clogging the paint at the 4 is worrying especially if the 5 is also there so I see your point but shooting 4s are so weak at everything besides shooting. I guess it all depends what your team needs... too bad i don't have a team yet so im bascially trying to find an effective player that can fit in many lineups lol.
