Re: Dual Archetypes Confirmed... Thoughts? Combinations?
I promise this was not against computers the entire game. My matchup and a couple others quit right before the game ended. This was my new build Sharpshooting Rebounder. So far so good.

Re: Dual Archetypes Confirmed... Thoughts? Combinations?
Maybe on the perimeter, if the person you're guarding doesn't have gold/HOF ankle breaker, but definitely not on the inside.
You need at least silver defensive stopper to keep a post scorer's spin/dropstep moves from trapping your defender in unrecoverable animations.
And you need at least silver rim protector to stop contact dunk animations from triggering against bigs who have gold/HOF posterizer.
In this game, badges >>>>>>>> positioning and timing on the inside. If you don't have the right defensive badges to counter your matchup's offensive badges, then you will get worked over by unstoppable two-man canimations.Comment

Re: Dual Archetypes Confirmed... Thoughts? Combinations?
I still disagree. Guarding a HOF ankle breaker or a 7'3" Post Scorer is not the most fun you'll have, but you can still get stops on them.

Re: Dual Archetypes Confirmed... Thoughts? Combinations?
Got Hustle rebound to silver and putback king to bronze. Haven't maxed my passing yet so it will take me a while to get breakstarter maxed. I see exactly what you meant by not feeling like you specialize in rebounding because most of the 7'3 guys still snag over you. I'll keep running with him to see if it gets any better for me once I get the badges to higher tiers.Comment

But in general, you are right. Yesterday I lost a game that was dominated by a slashing C who did nothing but post up under the ring and trigger a contact dunk. I guess our C did not have any defending archetype but it should not be that easy under any circumstances. Its completely op.Comment

Re: Dual Archetypes Confirmed... Thoughts? Combinations?
Agree, but you can defend spins to a certain degree if you release LT as soon as your opponents spin starts and then hold LS in the direction he is spinning to. Im having a lot of success with that, even against post scorers.

Re: Dual Archetypes Confirmed... Thoughts? Combinations?
Finally made my pure point forward..I always hated playing traditional point guard, more of a Ben Simmons/Magic type that likes to grab boards and push the tempo as a bigger player.
Expectations: playing walk on, setting the pace of the game getting teammates involved...
What's actually going to happen: I'll be put in as a center, abused in the paint, and froze out of the offense.
Lol let's go.
