Re: Dual Archetypes Confirmed... Thoughts? Combinations?
If you're looking for a complete wing player, defense, 3, off ball speed, and of course the contacts, I'd recommend a 6'8 or 6'9 sharp/slasher. Sharp secondary and slashing first. Your defense isn't the same as putting defense in your build but slasher first anything gets decent strength and vertical. That means you're getting rebounds and blocking shots. I think slasher is the better defensive archetype because ratings on D don't matter past a 70. My pure slasher is my best defender, his only problem is the 3. If I could remake him, that's what I'd do. I already have a shot creator primary and slasher secondary. He does everything well, nothing great. But my build was 6'4 PG do I could speed boost. I would recommend this build for pure scoring as I've had most of my 30 point games on him but as far as defender goes, he's lacking.
What about shot creating slasher, get that decent mid range of the shot creator and the physicality of the slasher.Comment

Re: Dual Archetypes Confirmed... Thoughts? Combinations?
I've been stanning for them since day 1!
Well...more like day 30. Because my first player got deleted and I had to re-do it.
Which, by the way, is why WE NEED TO BE ALLOWED TO RESET THINGS. So you know, things like "I would trade in ball handling for better finishing ability" is a possibility.
I get why 2k doesn’t allow it but the diehards would still have multiple players they put money into anyway. There should be a master file you can reset to an 85 as many times as you want. Then your other players can’t be reset. Also you’d have to stay at your original position for your master file so you can’t have a SG one day and then a C the next just cause your team needs one.

Re: Dual Archetypes Confirmed... Thoughts? Combinations?
I pretty much have about 10 or so people I run with, some much more frequently than others. But it's a problem because so few of us have legit big men, so when it's a certain combination of people it's an awkward lineup.Comment

Re: Dual Archetypes Confirmed... Thoughts? Combinations?
Think about this, an 86 driving dunk with gold posterizer and 70 3 ball without touching wingspan. With a 70 something mid.
Or, a 75 3 ball with Max wingspan. Silver posterizer, 80+ mid with better ball handling and more gold badges.
Like I said, if I want worried about the speed boosting when I made him, I would have gone 6'6-6'8 and had the most complete wing scorer ever.
The counter is both builds are not exactly money wide open. They're decent. But with slasher first, sharp second, you give up moving shots for standing which are more reliable anyways.
My pull up game on my shot creator has been off the last month otherwise I'd still be running that build more. I'd rather be a catch and shiot threat with the ability to murder centers when my man crashes hard at me on the wing.Comment

Re: Dual Archetypes Confirmed... Thoughts? Combinations?
I'm not sold on this build. A buddy of mine was talking about making one about 6'7- 6'8 I told him to flip it. The shot creator first gives you a better 3, the most gold badges on the game and the ratings are much better for being all around.

Game with 2 good PGs on both teams. 2k is crazy how it is literally a totally different experience when the point guard actually cares about others scoring

Re: Dual Archetypes Confirmed... Thoughts? Combinations?
My other buddy did 6'10 pure and he underutilizes him. I've seen the 91 contact with HOF and the 99 contact with HOF and I swear the pure gets better animations. At 6'10 default weight you get all the driving contacts with the standing, hustle silver, Chase down silver, and best of all you get love city finisher HOF, put back HOF (which he gets more than the half rebounder even tho higher ratings and same badge, one man silver, it's just the best all around PF build in the game IMO. The half rebounder does get more rebounds but not enough to warrant being a half breed.Comment
