I've been contemplating making a Wizards Jordan build 6'5" shot creating post scorer gets hall of fame post badges + 91 post ratings + pro dribble moves.

Sounds like a blast, just online that iso post game that Michael made famous and Kobe emulated just slows down the pace too much for this ‘sim’.

Yep. As stated earlier, my first game I had 40. My other games this morning were 34 and 44 with 10 rebounds the last game. I had just unlocked relentless HOF before I hopped off last night. Is about to be murder tonight.

In my experiences playing Pro Am this year I have learned that you can run & gun and live off fastbreaks all game long against bad teams.

But when you play against good teams, they will get back and stop 90% of your transition scoring opportunities, and the game will come down to who can execute the best in the halfcourt.

This Wizards Jordan build should require a double team to stop in the halfcourt if there are no lockdown defenders present in the other team's lineup.

And on defense, it should have no problem guarding any non-speed boosting perimeter build with its high strength rating, gold bruiser, bronze defensive stopper, and bronze rim protector.

You’re preaching to the choir, I hate how his game just feels like a track meet half the time. I’ve been dying to try to run half court sets. Then there would be more of a variety to the builds we see.

Once you hit the low 90s as overall, you fully realize how bad is having the game, and not you, deciding which white bars to unlock.

I spent a month for hitting 93 and I unlocked two attributes I basically didn't care about.

In this game, you don't put defense in your build to get more blocks; you do it to negate the unbreakable posterizer canimations and the unfavorable postspin/dropstep canimations that will automatically move your defender out of position.

And there's really not much of a trade-off offensively since you still have hall of fame posterizer. Go check out TheFinalEvent 97's youtube channel if you won't take my word for how good the offensive abilities are on that two-way athletic build:

I don't like the build 1 bit and Young knows this lol.

You'll need to be a SF and every SF matchup will be taller than you.

I'm also concerned as to how long you'll have to grind upgrades until you unlock the 75 ball control rating but it is actually 76 I belive the cap is for 6ft5.

Other than being unorthodox why do you need a 6ft5 SF to be slowing down the pace in post isolation?

Young loves these unorthodox builds though and he'll find a way to make it work so I'll let him eat his pie in peace lol

lol, it’s like a self-challenge build tho. I dig it. I’d certainly be hesitant to post score as a 6’10 guy vs a 7’3 guy, so I’d imagine 6’5 vs 6’8+ would be challenging, but rewarding. Maybe if he went in with 3 bigger guys?

Going post on the wing is pointless, believe you me. Especially when a shot creator first/anything typically gets you a 70+ post rating anyways. I'm not saying they can't be effective, I just have never seen it. I've got almost 700 walk on games and anyone posting outside of the restricted have been pretty inconsistent. The ONLY thing I'll concede as effective would be post spin technician on the perimeter. But my baby shot creator is 6'4 with a post rating of 74 with post spin bronze. Brick wall silver and post spin silver are not worth the low 80 off ball speed vs 90 if you were to use shot creator/playmaker/slasher

Also, post first/sharp second was supposed to be the ultimate mid-range fade player and with Max mid and post rating I'll go 30% on mid-range fades. Completely useless build in my opinion putting post in anything.

Post fade was toned down because of ppl like me who were going hog wild on them in 2016 and 2017 lol


They work in 2k18 pretty good tho, you shouldn’t be shooting 30% on them. I make most the ones i take. Only difference is in 2k18 it’s not really a move to just whip out one on one. I do it when i know the fade will get me open. Like when you KNOW your man won’t jump at it then do it. When i back down and my defender shoots his hands up that’s my cue to fade and it’s usually a green. If they don’t jump it registers as a wide open shot. Off rebounds is really surprising too.



I will say that I’m coming from my experience with a PURE POST SCORER. 99 fade and post offense so that probably is why mine work so good.

Nope. The game is what it is. Enjoy being stuck with the same build the rest of the year.

lol facts. i have lots of builds but i just feel this game aint like last year. im getting bored of playin it.
