The speed helped less in a 5 vs 5 game with less space and I felt like I struggled more on the glass against the giants, even non GC. It was also difficult to score inside as a GC at that height and I felt like I got posterized a decent amount.

My record was like 700-300 in park but I feel i want a more universal build this year and maybe 7'1 or 7'2 would be better.
i made my guy max height and weight and he just could not play park. The only way I would break even offensively and defensively was if my teammates posted me up almost every play so I could score to offset the horrible defense I played against elite park players. Now my max height, weight guy OWNED the walk on and Pro Am.

I prordered this on PS4 and Xbox One so on one system im making my Post/Playmaker and on one im making a stretch/Post scorer. Think im going to go light and fast with the post/playmaker and tall and heavy with the stretch. Directly trying to do a Demarcus Cousins build with the post passer, and a Kevin Love build with the post stretch big. I feel like a rebounding archetype isnt worth it because if you have good strength and positioning youll get boards regardless. I very rarely got DESTROYED on the boards in 2k17 with my post scorer.

With Lockdown Defender, it was hard to score. So I had to grind just to get some offensive badges..

Ah see that's what scares me about going huge. Just getting torched by smalls all day. Do you think 7'1 would be a decent medium or pretty much just mediocre at both?

I'm kind of with you on the defence/rebounding thing. I feel like that's more skill and positioning than stats. I've been debating Post/Finisher so I can be dominant in the paint on offence. Post/Playmaker is interesting too. I'll have to check the stats on that.

Insider tip. Picking ur archetype is not about min/max. It's about picking what u like to play as, u'll find a way to dominate & have fun
Zach is an idealist, it's awesome, too bad a large percentage of the customer base will do exactly what he says not to do.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

This is how the game SHOULD work honestly but we all know people will carve out a niche and one play style will become dominate.

I know everybody who was a glass cleaner last year didn't wanna do it. They did it because it's how you won in 2k17. I wish more ppl followed their own path but I did it last year and I'm doing it this year

As a guy who used a Paint Protector in NBA 2k17 I think I can give you some of my experience. My guy was 7'1 280 so roughly the size you are thinking of. Of course being a paint protector vs other center builds will change the experience of playing defense at the park but anyways.

What I found is even at 7'1 as a PP you will get smoked 85% of the time when you are guarding a playmaker/point forward. When you get pulled into a switch or just naturally have to guard one there isn't a lot you can do.

The biggest issue I actually found was it's almost impossible to chase around a guard in the perimeter. There is so much space for them to run that you just don't have the speed to get to the spot and contest the shot.

My personal opinion is you either go the 7'3 fat guy build to match-up against other centers or go super skinny and smaller to give you a better chance to match someone at the perimeter.

My experience on Pro-Am was vastly different though and found good success on there.

Yea that's cute that he thinks the community will do the right thing. Youtube will dictate what builds people make just like every year. Hopefully that will help me stand out even more.

That's my thought process, entirely. The funny thing about everyone using the same moves is the underused ones catch them off guard because they aren't used to dealing with them.

Might as well go rebounder/athletic so you can get hall of fame hustle rebounder & brickwall gold. you'll still have a vert and speed advantage

i dont think speed advantage center vs center is that useful tbh especially not with either of those builds where i already know u cant shoot and will be in the paint all day.

I'm really torn between pure shot creator and shot creator/passing and ball handling for my 6'4" pg.

pure shot creator has the edge in offense but much lower passing. Shot creator/playmaker has slight edges in speed and ball handling. Argh I don't know what to do

                            Little question:

If I want to recreate a Michael Jordan Build up (Impossible I know), what would you prefer?

                            Shot creator/slasher ?
                            Slasher/shot creator?

                            Shot creator/lockdown?

not really a fan of both post/finisher i feel like the offense from the post is dominant enough i can burn you many ways post fade/sky hook. i can always run p&r to get a dunk (mind you this build also comes with HOF brickwall), i can hit you with drop steps, and post spins at the end of the day as well. id trade off that finisher for rebound especially if hustle rebounder is one of the other gold badges that it comes with otherwise id go rebound/post..your more athletic with this build but not as good in the post, not as good midrange, and not as good dunking/layups so meh.

the midrange on the post/rebounder looks really decent especially if you get it to its max. If it has gold hustle rebounder you basically got a inside/outside big with rebounding on your hands.
