    It really depends on the attribute, wingspan, height and weight of said player but this should be a rough estimate.

    This really put me in dilemma for my Vino Kobe clone. Shot creator + ?? Was initially thinking post scoring since I love to operate in the post but I don't get as many points in ball handling and athleticism..will have to see how real numbers are

          I think I'm gonna go with my Lebron build again 6'8 250 SF. And my play style to me seems to fit the Slasher/Playmaker except that build looks pretty weak and I like to be strong and can make up for lack of speed through size and strength (this year I was stronger than most bigs not GCs or PSs at 78strength) so I think I may go Slasher/Defender instead for the extra strength and athleticism

            Personally I'm waiting for Gento to post a video where he looks at his attributes and his ability to upgrade them.

            From the look of his footage, the story seems quite linear, and so throughout the prelude I doubt we will be able to see what our attributes will be.

            I think the best bet with the Prelude is to create the player you're most intrigued by, and see how the game plays, because I think the full mode opens up after the prelude and I don't think the prelude has any bearing on the story, and then once you have the full game skip the prelude, make your guy and before u invest VC in skills and that, just see what the maxes will be for attributes.

                I was planning of experimenting with many different combinations of archetypes. Wonder how many saves we can have?

                  Personally I believe that elite defenders don't need a defensive build to be great defenders, coz a really good opponent never gets shut out like a WR in football, you just limit their effectiveness, and you do that in exact same ways regardless of rating. With long arms and 70 shot contest if you're right on a guy he ain't making that shot more than twice out of 10 attempts.

                    probably only one on the prelude demo.

                    I just hope theres some classic 5 v 5 gameplay in the demo lol

                    but yeah I think its like 10 or 15 total including MyLeague, MyGM and MyCareer.

                    So best bet is to make like 8 builds to start then delete the ones you don't like the attribute caps of, and keep going before you begin the grind.

                    I might try and settle on 3 builds this way so I can dip in and out throughout the year, and leave the other slots open for MyGM, MyLeague and everything.

                    Last year I ****ed up by building a 6'8 SG Slasher and he was just so slow off the ball and on it that he was useless. And I poured all my VC in him to get him set to start off coz I was set on him.

                    Not making that mistake again coz I earn all my VC (shoutout no micro transactions gang)

                        I just hope patches don't change gameplay drastically. My first build in 2k17 was a lockdown and coming from 2k16 I knew a 60 in 3p shooting wasn't worth it so I didn't upgrade it at all.

                        Then patches came in and my build became obsolete. I had to grind again, I made a slasher with 3p. It was great, even though some weeks I couldn't hit anything and others I was deadly from corner.

                          I could buy myself to, i think to 85 .... then i could only get those extra attributes on the training or team-training (as an offline-player)?! VC was basically useless after 85 (good, btw .

                          So, is this the road upto 99, go the gym for more attribute-points and earn your badges in the games?

                            Agreed with this, although in last year's game, merely having a bronze defensive stopper badge made a HUGE difference IMO. If we can't have that, it's what will make me seriously consider having defender as one of my archetypes.

                            I thought a shot creator/post scorer SG combo would be fun, but the post scorer part of the SG will rarely get used, and if I do post up, someone is probably cutting into the lane to clog my space anyways.

                            I've thought about having playmaker as a secondary, the dimer badge is the only reason why. I am not really a dribble-heavy kind of player even with a point guard, but like a lot of our questions, I need to see how bad/good I am at dribbling before I consider.

                            This is why it would be great if we could reset our player's attributes if we find that there is a better way to build it...

                              you can boost in park, pro am, career or gym gameplay. everything you do with your character will boost their overall.. but once you're at 90 all upgrades will be really incremental.

                                Yeah, I have the same undestanding but after 85 everything (career, gym, park, pro-am) wiil count for unlocking upgrades for both attributes and badges.

                                The huge question is the rate of the progress after 85.
