Anybody know the quickest way to getting relentless finisher?

We played 2 pretty serious teams in walk on and dogged them both by 30.

They couldn't rebound consistently at all as the whole team was able to get boards. If there was a stretch pulling me away from the basket then all of my teammates were just fine snagging over their match up.

We held 2 different 7'3s to 4 boards in 3 quarters.

        Serious. Walk on. Pick one.

Do it. Act like every one of y'all haven't been moped out in the walk on. Smak was just talking about how getting beat by 30 in walk on is pretty bad. It happens. I'm not saying those teams we beat were great, but they were a full 5 and both teams were attempting to run plays and iso ball. You act like full squads don't practice in walk on.

I'm not saying either team was the best either, we have no idea how those teams actually were because the sample size was too little and on top of that, completely skewed in the sense of us having an unconventional line up.

Fact remains, it was extremely fun. And that's what it's all about.

Best thing about running center with randoms: most of the time you get a squad anyways. They might be total turds, but i find if most of them quit early, i might be left with 1 or 2 decent players. Lol

All they need to do is prevent you from getting the pass for an easy score or slow you down for 1 second for me to catch up. Not every transition is a mismatch. There’s 8 other guys on the floor. And if you’re not underneath the hoop with me trying to get the board, there’s a good chance I’m the one with the ball and not your team.

Just like extra possessions only happen if you’re missing, your fast break dunks only happen if we’re missing. The point is moot. You run with a squad, that’s great. I’m envious. I run alone and still hold a .688 win percentage in walk-on primarily because I typically win my matchup. I’m not arguing if your squad is better than me and some randoms. I’m not even arguing that your build might not be better for the way your squad runs. I’m simply saying the meta is 7’3 for a reason - because it has more advantages than smaller centers do.

I think Pure Athletic is a great build. I just think a 7’3 Pure Athletic is better than a 6’11 Pure Athletic, discounting skill.

My size doesn’t handicap me in all the ways you seem to think it might. You can make plays? So can I

Blocks? Steals? Blocks are even easier when your taller.

The handicaps for being huge aren’t as prevalent as you think they are/want them to be.
              Your guy's a 7'3 pure athletic? Or ?? Lol

Definitely playing big in walk on is better. At least you know you'll get your boards and block opportunities...missed shot putbacks and stuff like that...

Trust me, worst position to play alone is a 6'10 point forward lol...

People think I'ma big or a slasher. And the second I touch the ball and dribble 'too long' I'm a ballhog or get a timeout called even tho I'm just looking for cutters or open shooters lol

My love/hate relationship with walk on is so real.

I play a game and have just a mediocre (to me) 15 8 and 8 game..but you know just not really into it..

Then I go up and get matched with a 96 overall who's playing with a squad and I just flip that switch and embarrass him. I really need to take screenshots but honestly I don't wanna like call no one out on here accidentally lol.

I enjoy competition..I'm starting to see more of it in walk on honestly.

I think guys are really learning their builds now...which is why I need a new one for a new challenge to myself lol.

Walk On is all I play. Haven't touched Park in weeks/maybe even months. Usually running with my pure playmaker at the point, playmaking slasher at the wing, or my slashing rim protector. Sometimes it's annoying ,but when you've got a squad that has synergy, it's hella fun.

I think I have maybe 30 games played on park, it's a joke to me this year. So laggy and exploit heavy.

I'm just using my pure point forward..found it way too easy to use my pure sharp..especially when I play with a friend or two. Can easily drop 40 it's like I feel dirty using him lol..

I honestly like the fact that I get trash teams so I gotta play even better.

Also your driving dunk is probably even worse than mine. I got the 89 at 7' and a 6'11 has the 90 i want.

                        I also went default weight. I'm 261.

6'11 pf i believe the only difference between C would be your defensive stopper and Rim protector bronze will effect SFs as well. My C only triggers those badges on bigs.

Naw 2-Way Rebounder. But I kinda wish I’d gone Slashing Rebounder or Pure Athletic in retrospect. The Defense and Rebounding are nice but I feel like Blocks and Rebounding are based a decent amount on timing and positioning (and height) rather than stats. Whereas insta-dunks and finishing in traffic are based entirely on stats and badges and the game deciding how you’re gonna finish. With only a bronze posterizer and no relentless finisher, I have to be really selective with my shots if I want to have a decent FG %.

I had a slashing rebounder and felt like neither thing was amazing so I scrapped him. I honestly feel like pure whatever is the way to go if you're good at the game because hall of fame badges are op imo.

If I was to make a pure athletic 7'3 what would you suggest: default weight or max?

I kinda messed up this year because I'm always a big and I just never made one so now I'm way behind lol

I would go max and just be a monster inside. I think Pures Athletics even have a decent mid range. I mean yeah being that huge is going to neutralize one of the builds big advantages - speed. But, as I’ve already beaten to death, I personally don’t feel speed is a huge deal for Centers other than giving up the odd fast break. I think being max size will allow you to carve out some space on rebounds even against some of the better rebounding builds. And if you get the ball under the hoop, it’s over. Or a few steps of momentum on a cut - bye bye.

I don’t know exactly what the trade off will be on the defensive end but I feel like you could overcome a lot of it with skill. I’ve seen Stretch’s play solid D so I know it can be done. I honestly want to try it myself but my current build is 94 and I kinda shudder at the thought of doing it over again.
