Re: Dual Archetypes Confirmed... Thoughts? Combinations?
I've disappeared for a while but I'll tell you, all of my players are pure now.
6'10 point forward, 6'5 shot creator, 6'8 sharp.
I want a big now, tried a pure post but I usually just am a walk on player now it's not the best build unless you got really smart teammates.
So any suggestions? Either going glass cleaner or athletic finisher. I assume the fun factor with a af would be much more than a glass.
Sent from my Z982 using TapatalkI don't wanna be Jordan, I don't wanna be Bird or Isiah, I don't wanna be any of those guys.
I want to look in the mirror and say I did it my way.

All of that aside, I would say a Glass Cleaner would be your best bet for a pure big man (at least to me anyway). Rebounding badges will come in handy if your teammates are ballhogs (get those rebounds + putback king). Or even if you have good teammates, utilize Brick Wall/Bruiser to set those screens. You still get Silver Rim Protector, Posterizer, and Pick Roller. A nice mix.
Personally, I'm in love with my Slashing Rim Protector. I had a Glass Cleaner last year but the lack of personal customization and ability to get non-archetype badges (last year I could get corner specialist, catch and shoot, acrobat, etc.) makes the build (and others) not as fun for me.Comment

Re: Dual Archetypes Confirmed... Thoughts? Combinations?
I made that build for my friend. He wanted a big and I basically designed his whole guy and he puts up crazy stats.
Only downside is when he gets matched up against a glass cleaner. I feel like as far as being a traditional big goes, a glass is op. They can grab 20 boards out of position and I feel like I could do the same but add to it lol.
I just don't wanna be big and slow that's the issue.Out of frustration with Walk-On and Park, I made a pure playmaker PG. I'm not even a "dribble god" but I love setting up shooters and big man to score. The goal is to try to be infectious to the team to get the ball moving, so usually as soon as I get it, I'm trying to get rid of it to the open man.

The base speed for my big man (without any additions or subtractions to to the weight of my 6'11" Slashing RP) is 69 speed off ball, which is crazy good for a big. I think based on my build, it's at 71 to 73.
The base for the Pure GC at 6'11" would be 59 which is still pretty good. I had a Slashing Rebounder once that was 7'2" with max weight and I just got tired of running in the mud so I know how you feel lol.Comment

Re: Dual Archetypes Confirmed... Thoughts? Combinations?
Yea I told my friend do 7 ft minimum weight. His dude is like a 3 out there. The only problem is against max weight glass cleaners but he's quick enough to get in front of them before shots go up.
I kinda want to steal his build seeing as I made it lol... But I think I'll let him be default weight. Just so I get a little more strength and finish in traffic easier."Undersized" bigs are the go-to for me. I like to run the floor so I make my big 6'11" and not massively big. There will be games you get bullied around, but I think it's all about positioning yourself in the most opportune spot on the floor.

Re: Dual Archetypes Confirmed... Thoughts? Combinations?
If i could do it again I'd make my pure athletic a 6'11. I would have got the 90 driving instead of 89 but that's just me wanting that 1 point. Realistically, it shouldn't make much difference, but it wouldn't be an eye sore when i look at my stats.
Having said that, i got frustrated the other night but i had some solid runs last night.
First off, absolutely i get boarded on. But now that my off ball speed is over 55 I'm hauling *** harder than i was before. 7'3s just can't keep up, and it's not a small difference. There are times when they don't get the rebound because they're setting screens so I'm down by the time they hit half court. If i do get the rebound, i have no problem taking it up if the wings are too far on the break. This leads to damn near triple doubles almost every game. I block shots much better than my 7'3 due to speed and vertical.
A pure athletic undersized is just more fun.Comment

Assuming there's absolutely no difference between 6'11 pf vs c pure athletic ? If like you make him a pf technically you're not undersized and might get matched up betterIf i could do it again I'd make my pure athletic a 6'11. Re: Dual Archetypes Confirmed... Thoughts? Combinations?
Think there’s a slight difference in badges.
I Made a pure af 7’1
Gets all contacts

Online it says they're the same, which is dumb cuz it doesn't make a variety in builds but oh well.Sent from my Z982 using TapatalkI don't wanna be Jordan, I don't wanna be Bird or Isiah, I don't wanna be any of those guys.

Re: Dual Archetypes Confirmed... Thoughts? Combinations?
Also your driving dunk is probably even worse than mine. I got the 89 at 7' and a 6'11 has the 90 i want.
I also went default weight. I'm 261.
6'11 pf i believe the only difference between C would be your defensive stopper and Rim protector bronze will effect SFs as well. My C only triggers those badges on bigs.Comment

Re: Dual Archetypes Confirmed... Thoughts? Combinations?
We're not talking about 5-10 points between you and other centers. My slashing rebounder 7'3 has an off ball speed of 38 max!Comment

Re: Dual Archetypes Confirmed... Thoughts? Combinations?
I dunno man. I’ve played over 800 walk on games at Center. Yeah the undersized ones can sometimes beat me down court in transition for a couple easy buckets. But most of the time I can either trigger an animation to run beside them, spam steal to catch up or my teammates aren’t idiots and actually pick him up until I get back. On the other hand, I destroy them on the glass and I find it way easier to trigger insta-dunks and favourable animations on offence against them.Comment
