Re: Official NBA 2k18 MyLeague/MyGm Thread
My league has been crashing a lot for me this year. I’ve had to make 5 different saves bc of this bug. Has anyone else experienced this? Like I’ll try and play the game on specific day and the entire game crashes. I’m tired of having to go and redo everything that I had in the previous my league so it’s been annoying to say the least.

Re: Official NBA 2k18 MyLeague/MyGm Thread
1. How do you get former players to turn into coaches, say I want a role player to be my coach? Does it matter what badges they have, or do only HOFers become coaches?
2. How do MyLeagues look 10 years into it? Too many good players? Too little?
3. Do 2nd rounders ever become useful players when you have auto-generated draft classes?
4. How is progression in this years game? Is there still too many good three point/mid range shooters?Comment

Re: Official NBA 2k18 MyLeague/MyGm Thread
Just finished the offseason and are now going into my third season with the Brooklyn Nets. Really exciting rebuild - D'Angelo is just a treat to play with!
Didn't do much during the first season. Made some minor trades - nothing too impactful - and amongst them, the acquisition of Darrell Arthur really helped to provide some needed floor spacing. Down the line, I want to mould the team in a pace-and-space direction to really maximise Russel's abilities. We didn't make the playoffs, but we weren't too bad. Finished 10th in the east. D'Angelo won most improved off of 23 PPG and 7 APG. Overall a promising season.
In the off season we made some decent moves. LeVert had performed pretty well, but I opted to trade him for Buddy Hield, whom I hope can develop in to a sniper from deep, who can also defend at a decent level. Picked up Montrezl Harrell in FA on a one year deal, moved Mozgov and his BS salary for basically nothing and picked up Dedmon to replace him for one year as well. Russell managed to build on his impressive first season as a Net and averaged 24 PPG and 8APG on nearly 50% shooting. Hield averaged 15PPG, Hollis-Jefferson is a beast on D and a train on the breaks - even hit the open threes at a decent click! Jarrett Allen has really developed well and Kenny Atkinson had him starting over Dedmon already. Off the bench, Spencer Dinwiddie, Joe Harris and Demarre Carroll gave us solid production, and eventually, all of this produced a 7th seed in the east and a thrilling 1st round matchup against Giannis and the Bucks! Pretty even series that we lost in seven games; the highlight being D'Angelo coming up clutch in game six at home, scoring 42 points, and forcing a game seven.
The goal this year is just to make it through the first round of the playoffs. I definitely strengthened the team in the off season, so it should be attainable. Amongst others, I've picked up Bobby Portis and Nemanja Bjelica, while Harrell and Dedmon has been let go.
My depth chart looks like this:
PG: Russell, Dinwiddie, Whitehead
SG: Hield, Joe Harris, Kilpatrick
SF: Hollis-Jefferson, Carroll, Wesley Johnson
PF: Portis, Bjelica, Acy
C: Allen, Wright, Zeller
Pretty deep team. The starting unit is young and potent. Pick and rolls with D-LO as the ball handler is a blast. Allen's length and athleticism results in plenty of alley-oops passes from Russell, and if Allen can't find a free lane to the hoop off the roll, Rusell can either finish himself - with either a pullup-J or a layup - or kick it out to pretty much anyone. Dinwiddie and Whitehead is tough to pick between as backup for D-LO, but Spencer edges it for now. Kilpatrick has digressed, but Joe Harris' efficiency from deep more than makes up for it. Demarre Carroll is solid as always. Bjelica stretches the floor and Brendan Wright does what he's supposed to do.
I'm really excited to see ow good this team can become. Only concern is that eventually, to legitimately contend for a title, we'll need an additional superstar to pair with D'Angelo, and the probability of that happening through FA is looking slim when I take a look at our cap room - unfortunately...Comment

Hey guys. Can someone do me a massive favour and post the overalls for the Boston Celtics roster along with Spencer Hawes?
I won’t be getting 2k18 until Christmas and want to make sure my roster is correct in my current franchise.
If you get really bored, you could also add the close/med/3pt ratings as well, but overalls will do fine
Much appreciated!
EDIT: I googled it and found a helpful video!

Re: Official NBA 2k18 MyLeague/MyGm Thread
Finally settled on me team and some sliders...Just started with the Mavs.
I traded JJ Barea for a 2nd rounder and Jason Smith. I didn't see him in the future. Cut smith. Got a 2nd.
Cut Devin Harris
Signed Jarrod Uthoff to a 2 way contract. (Thinking about trading Finney-Smith, he provides no value IMO)
In my first played game Smith had 38! I love playing with him. However, everyone else is a struggle. Noel will be traded at the deadline (not going to resign him).
The teams is going to take a while to build. I want to build a team like the Grizzlies. Good post that can score, have 2 guards that can drive (Smith and Mathews can do both) and a 3 that can do everything.
Still wondering what to do with Harrison Barnes (I love his game, but is he really worth a max deal?). Also, I am assuming Dirk retires at the end of year 1?Watch me game on Twitch!

Re: Official NBA 2k18 MyLeague/MyGm Thread
posted this in main thread but figured I'd try here as well...
Couple questions from the point of view of a GM playing MyLeague.
1.) I see players that are "ineligible" to be resigned mid season. The prompt states that a players is ineligible to be resigned in the final year of his contract because he signed a deal lasting 2 seasons or fewer...
a.) If the above is true how come I am able to resign a player in the second to last year of his deal?
b.) If I resign a player to a three year deal in the second to last year of his contract does the new contract add on, will I then have him under contract for four years?
2.) Why is the longest I am able to resign a player three years? I'd like to lock a guy down for longer but the longest length I am able to offer is 3?
a.) Would I be able to offer a longer deal during the off season?Comment
