Started playing with Utah Jazz, i just love that team, from the players individually, to their brand of basketball, old school approach, the coach, fans. That is one tough team. I am playing with the newest rosters, i haven't made a change to my roster so far, but i know i have to if i want to make this team something more than a playoff team.

I won the first game, 105-95, controlled the game from start to the end. I don't think we'll lose much games at our homecourt. Ingles was the best scorer, but everybody did their part and we managed to get a pretty much easy win against a good team.

I lost against Wolves, 98-95. It was a close game right till the end, but Wolves managed to take it.

I won against the Thunder 95-89. This was a great game, i was leading pretty much throughout the whole game but never more than about 10 points and i knew they are right there, Westbrook was magnificent. I was leading by 2 points with about 1 minute left in the last quarter when Ingles scored a tough tough 3 and then i decided to hack Roberson and managed to grind out a really big win.

I am 2-1 and now playing Clippers and Suns b2b at their courts, i expect 1 one, against the suns, and i think we have a good shot at the post season and i think we can compete against pretty much everyone expect Warriors.

Has anyone had much luck with two-way contracts? Most of the guys who accept them get so pissed about being in the d league they refuse to re-sign.

Nope. And no team will sign them after the first year. There isn’t a work around as far as I know.

I am doing a Lakers MyLeague. I had 14 players at the trade deadline so I decided to sign a free agent. I signed Diamond Stone who was a 21 or 22 year old and was a 71 or 72 overall. Fast forward to the end of the year and now I'm at the start of the playoffs. This is the first time I've checked the roster since signing Stone. For some reason he's now an 86 overall with an A- potential (I don't know what his potential was before). I've had players go up like 1-3 overall during the season but nothing like this in my history of 2k from 2k13. My question is, is this a game feature or a glitch because I'm debating whether or not it's fair to use him. Please help me out, thanks!

Yes, I simmed for about 30 seasons in MyLeague and saw this thing happened many times, especially when the team signs a free agent in the mid of the season. I am not sure if this is a feature or glitch, but definitely, it creates some randoms in the league.

My only complaint about this is that the buffed player is increased too much. I understand that some players can suddenly burst such as Linsanity and Whiteside, but it is really rare for a bench warmer to directly become an all-star.

I think the best experience of MyLeague happens in the first 10 seasons. If you are using the default progression setting, you will get almost every player in every team to be more than 80 rates after 10 seasons, with the addition of those buffed players. You will see a bunch of 75 to 80 players losing the job in the league and at the same time requiring high salaries that not affordable as a mid-season free agent.

Any tips for limiting the progression like this?? I'm not sure if I'll even make it ten seasons or beyond but if I do I know I won't want to bail on a game I've invested so much in!

Best guess is to turn player progression down to like 35/40 and regression at 50-55

At January in my Bulls MyLeague.


I'm clearly tanking this year to take either Porter Jr or Doncic


-Moved the Pelicans to Seattle. THE SONICS ARE BACK.


-Cut Kay Felder early on to sign Chasson Randle. Made him my starting PG..because why the heck not?!


-Signed Derrick Williams to play SF. Always liked him as a player and I'm tanking so I figure what the heck.


-Working on pulling a trade for Malachi Richardson from the Kings for Denzel Valentine and a 2nd rounder. Richardson has played two minutes all year and I'm intrigued by him as my SG of the future.


-Traded recently traded Quincy Pondexter away to the Raptors, who are running away in the Eastern Conference, for Bruno Caboclo and Lorenzo Brown. Might give Caboclo big minutes just to see what happens. I didn't care for Pondexter, he's 29, and the Raptors wanted him.


-Kicking around trades for Brandon Paul of the Spurs for Justin Holiday.


-Guys I'm wanting to trade by seasons end:
Robin Lopez
Niko Mirotic


Robin would be a great fit for the struggling Celtics who are near the bottom of the league in rebounding...just can't get the salaries to match up without taking a core piece away from them and have it make sense.


Niko I've toyed around with the idea of sending to Dallas for a deal involving Nerlens Noel. Noel would be my starting center and Niko gets a fresh start and can try to fill Dirk's shoes.


Still not sure how I'll approach Free Agency this summer. Really tempted to tank for another season to target RJ Barrett and team him and Porter together for the future.


If two seasons from now I can trot out:


LaVine
Barrett
Porter Jr.
Lauri
Noel


as a starting 5 in some combination that would be ideal. Not sure who will be there in free agency though.

What sliders do you use? Those scores look nice.

I am using default hall of fame sliders but put down game speed to 48. I am happy with how the game is playing. But you got to understand i am a slow pace guy and i run plays and try to slow it down most of the time.

Currently at 6-5 with my Jazz, we are still trying out things, we are still adapting to the life without Hayward, with our offense being run by Rubio and Hood and Ingles, there's no clear go to guy, it's all team effort, and i have to say young rookie Mitchell is awesome, i think he'll have a big role in our future. And of course, there's no way we'd have a positive score without Rudy and Favors. Rudy is scoring just 8 ppg but he has 11.7 rebounds and is leading the league in blocks (3 per game)

We won against the Clippers at their court but we lost against the Suns and Lakers, i didn't expect to lose these 2 games, especially against the Lakers, we had a 2 game rest after the Suns game and we played in Salt Lake City but well, it happens. But after those 2 losses we played great against the Mavs and won by big margin (134-105) by far most points we scored this season. We lost vs Blazers, Lillard was just ridicoulous and they were leading throughout the game and really showed that they are in great shape (7-4). I won against the Raptors(97-86), they scored 55 points in the first half, DeRozan was unstoppable, but our defense was worlds better in the second half and we managed to keep them at only 31 points in that span and got a clear but important win. We lost against the Rockets, didn't really expect much, and we won the most recent game vs 76ers 98-87, controlled the game, really showed composure when they tried to make a run with 5 minutes left in the game, Hood took it over.

We are 4th in the opponents ppg
1st in turnovers
4th in opponents fg%(But only 11th in opp 3p%, which shows how great our inside defense is but shows that we have to up that if we want to compete against the Rockets or Warriors)
30th in pace(kind of expected)

About the progression/regression thing, i see Schnaidt put it at 42/58 so i guess i'll use that. If somebody has a better solution, please share it

1-3 with the bulls. Beasting with markkannen started with pre existing injuries so waiting for portis mirotic and Lavine to get back to boost my offense. Lost opening night to the raptors 96-90 lost to the spurs 114-110 lost to the cavs 130-126 and got my first win against the hawks in a nail biter that I took the lead with 11 seconds to go on a steal and layup by kris Dunn. Final 111-110. Gonna probably end up and try to trade for Brandon Paul I’m an Illini fan and I loved him there. Also might try to acquire okafor from philly

youre playing with 2k roster and vanilla hof sliders?

i also started myleague with the jazz today and i'm not totally satisfied with the outcome. i'm 3-0 winning every game with a 15 plus points differential. it shouldn't be so easy against the nuggets, twolves and thunder. nobodoy can score on me. i'm holding opponents down to 33% shooting.

so I'm rolling with the nuggets for now, apart from jokic and millsap also their 2 lowly rated pgs miller and mudiay as well as gary harris and especially will barton all play well above their ratings.
I nornally really love to have a star guard on my teams but those 4 guys make up for it.
