I firmly believe the 7"3" Center has heavily attacked the power forward builds at least for Walk-On as the randomizer will slot them at PF and any team with semi competent wings and that combo will win.

In walk-on the two major stats are rebounds and turnovers. You either are reaching(read: steal spamming)on the bigs or losing the rebounding battle completely and utterly. All the other nuances of the games play off that.

Surely in a walk-on game at least, the guy with the highest team grade should get MVP of the game? I hit around 12 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists with my PF Post Scorer/Rebounder and got my team grade to A, but a chucker got MVP, with 20 ish points. All this was with a C grade. Surely Team play > Ball hog play, or that's how it should beat least.

Knowing what you know today, if you could start over your Pro am team, how would you design it?

I can say the archetypes that I would prefer to have pure/primary/secondary

            - playmaking: one primary, not pure for sure
            - sharpshooter: at least one pure (not a big, the era of the stretch 4 is over) and one primary
            - post scoring: you can skip that unless you organise your game around him
            - defender: one secondary for wing player (SG or SF) and one primary for bigs
            - shot creating: if combined with defending, it's one of the most versatile build in the game. otherwise you can combine it with other offensive archetypes provided that he can produce 20 pts every game with good %
            - slasher: good for bigs; wingmen can be too monodimensional if not combined with an archetype boosting the shooting
            - rebounding: you need at least one of your big having it as a primary;

Don't bother recruiting a PF(he most likely won't rebound/score well enough to make up for steal spamming on his low ball handle when he gets the ball or get stops well enough) either get a fast athletic wing or a 7"3" big with rebounding as one of it's types.

                We've been rolling

                Playmaker/Shot-creator
                Shot-creator/Sharpshooter
                Pure Sharpshooter
                Sharpshooter/Rim Protector
                Athletic/ Rim Protector

8-3, we lost the first 2 games working out the kinks and the 3rd loss came from the game crashing on people before tip off so we decided to quit. The two losses and one of the wins were in the 2-5 pt deficit range but everything else was a blowout.

The teams with a very high record we run into don't even bother with a 4 these days, better to have an AI at the 4. Easiest way to stop the opposing team's interior passes.

Is it though? Seeing the anti legit PF sentiment the last few pages and I'm wondering what are the PF experiences you guys are encountering because like I said a couple pages ago I feel like I'm doing fine but I do see the trend of 2 having 2 BIG bigs.

Personally on team Pro-Am I average 9ppg, 6rpg, 2spg,1bpg, and then walk on 15ppg 5rpg, 2spg, 1bpg. The steals come from doing what AI does, and just intercepting passes being forced into pain/traffic.

Saying good teams prefer an AI 4 isn't anti-PF sentiment - I played PF the last two years, I love the 4 spot - it's that they'd rather have the AI pass intercept reactions to stop anything in the paint while also maintaining space for the 7'3" athletic finisher everyone is running on offense.

The AI isn't perfect obviously, because if you're running a stretch 4 yourself the AI tends to do a poor job of contesting shots in the corner at the perimeter for some dumb reason.

PF bots are usually 6'7, if a team is running two 7'3 bigs it will get destroyed inside, i find that my Pure Rim Protector can consistently steal entry passes just by holding L2 when standing in front of the big their trying to pass to.

Not just you but others mentioned that as well, its why I'm curious why the meta of pro-am seems to be more two C heavy or like you mentioned AI PF because as a PF I've gotten my fair share of games where they have 3-4 players and it tends to be they're missing a PF.

Personally I think they need to reduce max height for C to 7'0 and it would probably change the way people approach builds and the big positions.

I haven't really consistently run Pro-Am team this year, but I like to keep up with trends because I'm sure I'll eventually play on a team regularly.

                                PG: Playmaking sharpshooter
                                SG: Pure sharp
                                SF: Pure Sharp

I've seen a lot of people run multiple Pure Sharps. I was wondering if that became difficult on defense. I definitely understand the thinking of really stretching defenses with a 96+ 3Pt with a Hall-of-Fame Limitless. Is a 3&D (sharp primary) build viable? I don't necessarily mean with dual 3&D on the wings, just an general open question.

Also, do the perimeter defenders feel that the Defensive secondary badges help? I've always felt defensive builds would be awesome if it was tempered with some offense, but I really haven't seen much defender builds.

For the bigs, I have a few questions too. This year, I've seen a lot of this sentiment:

The more successful teams (don't necessarily mean top teams or anything) I'm familiar with are basically running a spread pick 'n' roll. Many run a PF with a Sharp secondary to consistently hit corner threes? Is that preferred?

For teams who dual bigs without any shooting, how do you handle spacing? Are you truly running a 3-2 offense?

If you have dual 7'3" players, does running a 4 out type of offenses create a situation of diminishing returns given your 7'3" might be 20 feet from the hoop? In the past few years of 2K that hasn't been the case, just curious.
