Anybody seen this ? We were literally shooting lights out from three in team pro am today. Green lights are easy as hell Even for non shooters.

I was so disappointed when I saw that earlier today, FINALLY felt like Pro Am Team shooting was feeling a bit more balanced, back to dudes zig zagging and splashing 3s, it was a good 3 days of decent ball while it lasted.Always looking for solid CF25 Dynasty owners, follow the link to get started >> PS5 P5 Dynasty DiscordComment

Re: NBA 2k18 Pro-Am Discussion Thread
I'm calling a bluff. I need proof lol. I consider myself one of the best shooters in the game and was barely getting any greens yesterday in Team Pro-Am. Nothing but full white Good releases. Fortunately they were dropping but today could be a different story. There's definitely a slider difference in Walk-On and Team Pro-Am. It's much more distinct this year. I don't have a problem with the current sliders but I don't believe non shooting archetypes are shooting "Lights Out" in pro-am right now. No way lol.Last edited by Korrupted; 10-20-2017, 07:52 AM.Comment

Re: NBA 2k18 Pro-Am Discussion Thread
They need to remvoe the shot meter.
I'm tired of seeing the same "im getting greens" "im getting full whites" etc.
I play with no shot meter so if i miss i miss. Complaining about full whites, half whites, greens, latinos, blacks is just excuses.
and no, im not targetting above posters because this is everywhere int he community. People are obsessed with the shot meter.Comment

Re: NBA 2k18 Pro-Am Discussion Thread
A few reasons why I think shot meter needs to go....
1. Nobody in real life can say "Green/Excellent" before the shot goes in, tipping their teammates off that they can just get back on defense. If someone shoots the ball, it should absolutely be a mystery as to what will happen until the ball touches the rim (Or doesn't). This gives the offense even more of an advantage.
2. The game's got to get people to focus more on the quality of their shot rather than the timing. I wish that shooting timing was like this: early, good, late. And the percentage of it going in it should be similar to what the player's real FG% would be according to their attributes. So rather than spending energy on the exact moment to get a green, it should be more about what kind of shot did I just put up in this offense? Did we generate the best look?Last edited by ph33; 10-20-2017, 09:29 AM.Comment

Re: NBA 2k18 Pro-Am Discussion Thread
I don't know about the meter.
Historically 2k explains little to nothing about how some mechanics work (this year you don't even have the hop-step layup explained in the controls menu).
Having something making explicit something else is not a bad idea to me.
And you have always the option to turn it off.Comment

Re: NBA 2k18 Pro-Am Discussion Thread
I mostly refer to green releases themselves . I can live with meter if there is no such thing as your shot being boosted to 100% and early indicator on top of it. Its just very flawed concept and inferior to what we had in earlier 2k games (green release just make player shoot to his potential rather than 100% goes in).
Oh fine, in this case I agree.
Also because there are not other features in the games telling you when you are doing something right at 100% (green boxouts, green blocks, green passes, etc)Comment

Anyone in need of a rebounding/defensive center? Either walk on or a team, I don't mind.
Just started grinding him out. 83 overall, handful of bronze badges. Mostly looking to snatch up boards, not too fussed about getting touches on offense.Comment

Re: NBA 2k18 Pro-Am Discussion Thread
Anybody see Belubas contested shot poll? Looks like it’s another close one with 43% of people saying no to nerfing contested shots while 42% are saying it should be nerfed in park and pro am. This may effect Sharps but I think it definitely needs a slight nerf especially if the shooter is smothered.Comment

I hate the way it's made bigs play. If you seal your big man below, you should be rewarded....but this is ALL they do now because it's too easy. People just stand under the basket clogging it up all game.Comment
