Still looking for some dudes on PS4 to pub stomp in Walk On with.. Not interested in playing real Pro-Am this year, I just want to beat up on dudes in Walk On without having to resort to all the known meta cheese tactics to win.. I just want to play ball with dudes who know how to play defense, know how to swing pass to an open man, and know the difference in whether to cut or when to stand out of the way of the action for a second to space the floor.. These things (or lack thereof) is what is throwing me off completely from playing with randoms.. I just can't handle it.. It's not hard to win just playing smart without having to be a dribble gawd or whatever the hell..

Re: NBA 2k18 Pro-Am Discussion Thread

To be completely honest I don't see this game NOT being a cheesefest until they just let us max everything again..or at least something along those lines.

All people do now is go on YouTube, search for the dribble god iso moves, search for the best jumpshot, search for the best builds...

Then you have a copy paste game with 5 of the same players every match.

I had my most fun as a 7 foot small forward dropping 80 breaking ankles catching bodys and blocking everything...it wasn't realistic but is it now??

Half the things people do to win you'd never see in an NBA game.

I miss being able to do anything with a player...I put the time in in this game..I grind..I got 4 players and they're all 90 or almost there.

None of these players make me feel how I used to tho where I could say my dudes on the level of Kobe LeBron or Jordan ..

I think that's why pro am isn't fun as it used to be. If you're not keeping up with the trends you're gonna lose.
You need shooters and bum bigs who's role is to screen and stand in the paint.

Watching gameplay like this kills my vibe there's no fun in it to me.

I like variety, and the funny thing is the "variety" they allow with all the builds just makes the game more generic. If we'd be able to do anything I think people might actually play out of a defined role...

there is no variety in comp games and unless there is significant changes the eleague will be a dud. Who the hell wanst to watch the same 5 out 6'10 sf spamming dribble moves every possession?
Name me one player in the last 20 years in the nba who was 6'10 and had the stamina and skills to spam dribble every possession for the whole game?

Gotta love when your a 6"8 SF and matched up against a 7"3 Sharpshooting big with probably minimum weight and he's guarding the paint and you in the corner at the same time.
He's also running the same speed as me and playing defense like Kawhi.
Tell me what are the downsides to a 7"3 Big, cause speed difference doesn't seem to be one of them.

I made a maxed weight Athletic Finishing rebounder and I was locking Point Guards Down, and Chasing them down for blocks with ease. Also He was a 65 rating.

There are no downsides which is why i feel bad for all the bigs that chose to be 7'2 to 7'0. They just created an inferior player off the bat.

My 7’3 center chases down PGs for blocks way better than my 6’8 SF. Both have chasedown silver and 80 block.

I stopped watching the so called elite teams. Its just plain boring watching a pg spamming dribble moves around a high screen waiting to drive because he wants to kick it out anyway...Literally every possession works like this, theres absolutely zero ball movement, and there cant be because none of the sharpshooters can create anything on their own...

There are downsides to being bigger, shooting off the dribble, driving dunk and layup, ball control. But the good outweighs the bad IMO

It’s crazy how bad we beat those guys just by putting me ( a defensive archetype ) on the PG.

the e league will be a different build. they already experimented with tougher sliders for pro am but the community cried because open layups/shots werent falling.

also heard there will be no badges and you cant use your my player it will be balanced.

Can I play in this league without getting paid or being in the league? Because this sounds like something I'd rather play.
