this happens every game. they start shooting lights out, and I cant even hit uncontested jumpers.

Man I hate this too, I was playing vs the Warriors, and I was managing to keep the game close, but then Steph literally shoots 4 3's in a row, 3 REALLY heavily contested and just splash. Game almost went out of hand but I managed to punish them down low with Boogie and Kristaps to win the game... While double teaming Steph every possession and living with the possibility of Klay destroying me.

Luckily I won this game but the first game of the season these dudes were up 40-18 on me on the first quater... every game is a trip vs them

I'd rather see more passes go out of bounds than see these awkward looking dropped passes that 2K introduced this year. Bad and errant passes do happen all the time in the NBA, but the dropped pass animation in 2K18 is just so ridiculous. The pass receiver fumbles and drops the ball like it's literally a hot potato. 2K should just have bad passes whiz by the receiver and go out of bounds, or have the receiver get a touch on the ball but fail to grab it as it goes by him. That would be far more realistic than the fumbling.

2k also lied about getting stuck in less animations this year... you get stuck in just as many of them this year as in year's past... that stupid blow by animation triggers at the most awkward times and THAT also leads to a lot of my turnovers... I'll be trying to run the pick and roll only to have it trigger and pretty much kill any momentum that I could have had... and the guy setting the screen pretty much slides across the floor in the most awkward way because the animation for the man setting the screen never triggers at all... just makes the game look ugly... the clipping is bad too... this game is really a hot mess if you really just pay attention and that ruins the immersion... the gameplay has improved... but not as much as everyone keeps saying...

You don't get stuck in anywhere near the amount if animations as years past....not even close....at the same time, this has led to a lot of complaints within itself...most notably the clipping....

It doesn't really feel much different in my opinion as far as getting stuck in animations... that blow by animation alone is pretty egregious and way too damn sensitive at times and it gets to be long and drawn out... you actually move at like warp speed during the animation which is really noticeable as well... this game too me just isn't as tight as people make it out to be... they fix a lot of issues only for more issues to crop up... I can't imagine the task they have to get a game out in less than a year's time every year... still though... you would think they could get a grasp on some of the more fundamental parts of the game

but you can break out of that animation, even when it speeds up unrealistically.... there's a difference between not liking it, and being locked into it....if we're going to call these guys liars, it's only fair to make that distinction. For better or worse, I feel they for the most part followed up on what they said in that aspect.

Hopefully they can continue to improve upon it for everyones sake....

                  Yes exactly !

                  2 key things:

1-Never watch the score and change your game by looking at the score, always play good basketball no matter what.
2-Make the right play, don't force anything and even if you lose you'll be happy with your effort.

It's important to keep calm, I freaked out from time to time about it too. When you get angry you play bad, that's no brainer. It's useful to take timeout and execute calmly. I quit a few times with anger when CPU took over but since I learned the game a lot more by playing it, I keep calm and never overreact. You should do the same, i know it's hard and very frustrating

First time I've uninstalled an NBA 2K game before it was time for the next one to be installed. I don't think I can go back to this one in it's current state. Watching the NBA just frustrated me even more to the point I can't take playing it. This year just doesn't resemble the game like I thought it did before.....

So frustrating working to get smart good shots, and then the cpu just comes down and just throws up a shot and it goes in, or they get a BS offensive rebound to just to get an easy and 1. Most frustrating 2k against the ai I've had in years. The cpu will have some good possessions that make me smile, but then the others just make me want to crack the disc in half, lol....

I hadn't played in about 2 weeks and was a little disappointed to see that a "slightly early, open" release still has a better chance to go in than a "good, wide open" release

I'm done with this crappy game. For the 3rd year in a row I destroyed the CD (it's better than the gamepad) so that I would not feel the need to play it ever again. I used to just uninstall it when the BS was unbearable but I always told myself a few days later maybe it wouldn't be so bad this time and I always ended up full of rage and frustration. I swear to god it's the last time I wasted my money on a sports game ever again.

It's not even the bugs, the stupid animations, the microtransactions and so on which ruined the game because I got used to them but the scripting is what makes this game completely unbearable.
It happens all the time, when the game feels you're better than your opponent it tries to balance it in order to make the bad players feel better (and buy VC). And this results in so much BS that it's impossible to handle no matter who you are.
Missed free throws, bad 3P%, missed layups (my opponent was making smothered shots in the paint with his center, but mine was missing lay-ups even if the contest was almost inexistent), his bad passes somehow go through all my defenders but mine get easily intercepted, a lot of steals for him, none for me in the same situations, in the last minute he can make 3s with players with 60 3 pt rating but I can't make a shot to save my life with good shooters and I can go on and on and on.
Once you play a game like this for a while and you become good at it, it kinda becomes addicting even if you know it's not gonna be fun at all and you'll feel like breaking something sooner or later, so it's better like this.

All sports games are like this, they try to help a lot the bad players which represent the majority so that more people will spend money on microtransactions, knowing that the good ones will keep playing no matter what. That's why I'll not buy one ever again even if I did for a long time.

I just don't get it. Over the course of an 82 game season stars do go cold and players who aren't big time scorers do get hot. Next time a guy scores on you don't check his ratings, check his stats and you'll see that some of the worst shooters have hit a couple shots. The game has issues, but scripted? In my Pistons MyLeague I lost to the Warriors 117-108 after a 34-10 first quarter. Were things scripted for me to get back in the game or did I just get off to a slow start on the road against one of the best teams ever in the second game of a back to back? It happens. Terrence Ross has gone for 50 and Steph Curry has laid an egg against the sorry Lakers. Hell Klay was cold for nearly the entire playoff run and he's the 2nd best shooter of ALL-TIME right?

                                I wanna add to that.

                                Clippers users:
                                • AI players don't get back on defense
                                • Every loose ball goes to the CPU
                                • When it's meant for them to score I may as well just put my controller down because nothing I do matters (I believe that possession ended with a Reggie Jackson floater).

                                Pistons users:
                                • Missed dunk cheese!
                                • Missed layup cheese!
