Meanwhile we get to watch every other A.I point guard dunking no problem whenever they feel like it. Awesome.

The wait is awful, it's really messing up my PnR/fast break game not being able to finish strong. I'm curious as to how long something like this takes to fix, hopefully they don't need a full patch release to fix it.

We're looking into this, guys. Dunking was dialed back on purpose this year for all non slashing builds to balance out the archetypes but some builds (especially PGs) were hit too hard. It should be fixed soon.

The problem as well is that unlike you stated that dunking was dialed back for all non slashing builds, slashers are getting effected by it. Its not just about position. I have video proof of my 85 overall 6'7 max weight max height PURE slasher with 99 overall in dunking that in incapable of dunking AT All when he is OPEN in the paint.


Then I made a SG slasher, one that isnt effected by the position nerf as much. I did not touch any of his upgrades and as a 60 overall with only like 50 in driving dunk he was able to dunk every SINGLE time no problem, in the drill when he got open.


So while you are tweaking the dunk mechanics please make sure the slasher archtype does not get mixed up with the position archtype when tweaking dunks. Because then things will get unfair. For instance if a PG will have less dunking tendencies and thus a slasher PG will have less dunking tendencies, then if I were to make a fully max weight and max height 6'7 archtype PG slasher, and sacrifice everything from speed to ball control, to shooting to dunk. Yet on the other hand a Small forward slasher archtype who is lets say only 6'5 and maybe less weight then me, will have better slasher and dunking capabilities because he is a SF, as well as retain more speed and ball handling, and shooting benefits just because he is also more agile and small than me. Yet im the one that is sacrificing more of my stat and build to specialize in dunking. So please look into it in that aspect as well sir!

Seriously it's the whole point of me choosing a slasher style build, I never used a slasher last year...thought it would be fun this time around. I know 2K NEVER releases a finished/polished product on release anymore, I should know better than to pre-order this half finished game at launch. I bet it'll be amazing 3 months in when it's finished/patched and works as advertised at least! lol

Dialed back is a complete understatement. I can't even dunk at all. I'm a Shot Creator/Slasher at 6'3 200 lbs and can't dunk at all. I made my build after Westbrook and Wall. Westbrook and Wall literally dunk all over the place in game with worse dunk stats than me. I'm playing with the Clippers and Wall completely did a facial all over Wall. It was beyond freaking disappointing to know that I couldn't return the favor. It's a complete joke.

What you guys should nerf is my ability to blow by all my defenders. I blow by anyone with ease because I have great strength and speed, but it means nothing when all I do is lay up. I'd gladly take a hit in blowing by people if it meant I could freaking dunk once I did blow by them.

And can you please define soon? Because I've wasted the last week grinding 24/7 without so much as a single point for my Posterizer badge. You guys are holding us back. I don't even have Relentless Finisher badge or Acrobat either because you guys completely nerfed us.

And here's the thing nobody is talking about: In regards to "dialing down" what that proves is that 2K doesn't value attributes. They don't value my 85 driving dunk or 83 contact dunk at all. I might as well had not dropped 60 bucks on VC like I did to upgrade my SC/Slasher. I might as well make another player from scratch, like say pure rebounder. Because they grab every rebound and dunk on everybody before they even reach an 80 rating. Because attributes mean nothing in this game. This is essentially what 2K is saying.

6'10 SF, 77 Standing, 77 contact dunks - can't stand dunk at all, always goes for layups if a tiny guard is in the vicinity. I guess SF tendencies for stand dunking are non existent...

I think you're getting a little worked up here and starting to go on a bit of a tangent. Attributes absolutely mean something, it's why I get excited when I see some 70's coming to the court. However, tendencies mean something too, and they have admitted they messed up and are in the process of fixing it.

Also if you don't have Relentless Finisher or Acrobat then you may want to look at your play style, I have one well on its way to gold and the other almost at silver.

I find the badges easier to get this year too, I also think the difficulty is pretty fine. I JUST WAN'T TO DUNK...I feel like I'm living Billy Hoyle's life when I play this game right now!

i'm a 6'8'' SF Slashing Shot Creator. No issues dunking here. I need a bit of a clear lane until i can equip contact dunks. To those who have trouble dunking do you have contact dunks equipped?

It was a player build issue at 2k's end, not a user issue.
