Now that they got my VC fixed (2 days ago now) I had a chance to get some games in

So it seems like 2K is staying consistent .. last couple of years my first start was game 17.. this year it'll be game 19. The last 3 2K's I led the league in free throws per game.. as a 6'5 SG/SF each year.. and will do that again base on the per 36 stats.. now if I can get up to about 80% shooting them.

Oddball turnovers are still a MAJOR part of this game .. bad passes from teammates that are turnovers for our player .. but the 2k12 turnovers being run out of bounds still haven't come back

Currently through 22 games as the starting PG with the Bulls (as of 4 games ago). I have 14.6 ppg, 77,000 fans, A teammate grade, 70% team chemistry, 73 ovr. Picked Nike at the very beginning, and STILL nothing. From Nike or Jordan, no shoes, no offer, nothing. Im getting SO pissed off, because if theyre not going to offer me anything I would've signed with UA or Adidas 10 games ago...

Does it have something to do with press conferences and selecting either a humble or outspoken answer??

Currently through 22 games as the starting PG with the Bulls (as of 4 games ago). I have 14.6 ppg, 77,000 fans, A teammate grade, 70% team chemistry, 73 ovr. Picked Nike at the very beginning, and STILL nothing. From Nike or Jordan, no shoes, no offer, nothing. Im getting SO pissed off, because if theyre not going to offer me anything I would've signed with UA or Adidas 10 games ago...

Here's something that *MAY* be of interest.. there's at least one Youtube video about it also.. but I think 2K screwed up a bit in the Nike contract.. with the others when you sign.. you get a reminder from the agent that you need to wear your brand shoes for everything (including Park since you get VC for them per game) in the game.. but for some reason there doesn't seem to be as much detail in the warning as far as Nike goes.. maybe check the Bryan (agent) texts from back a bit and see if you missed something along the way.. There are people who said they've lost their shoe contracts by not equipping the right brand

If not, of course, I'd file a ticket and ask 2K.. now that they've fixed most of the previous tickets dealing with Career file deletions

Guess it shouldn't surprise me that people care about the multinational corporation putting a sticker on their shoes... but it still does. I had UA and Jordan offer, Jordan's deal was better, signed it, VC rolling in.

Maybe the Nike deal being fubar is 2K critiquing consumer culture. And the whole grotesque commercialisation and microtransactioning everywhere in the game, that as well is probably an artistic statement, and in no way a greedy cash grab by the devs.

I just took the UA deal. Don’t really care about the shoe thing. This mode has issues that matter much more to me. Shooting is awful.

Man I hate this mode this year. I refuse to buy vc but I’m still doing pretty well. It takes forever to rank up your overall tho I’m still a level 68 despite putting up buckets and assist. I also think I average like 1 steal a game. But what I hate about this game is that I never get the ball when I call for it, despite me scoring the most points on my team. 2k fd melo over this year cause he doesn’t do jacksquat on the team. Or it’s just my overall rating is too low and it effects everyone so I don’t get any assist ever lol🤦🏿*♂️

I actually like how they implemented the practice facility but it’s really depressing how slow every badge levels up. I feel like everything is extremely nerfed because of the VC. Then you go to the store and hats and shirts are like 2,500 VC lmao. Meanwhile there are level 91 guys running all over the neighborhood who obviously put an extra 100 into this game. I don’t see me sticking with this mode that long. It needs a complete overhaul.

How would that even work? You'd have no team mates to interact with during your entire MyCareer. Unless you expect 2K to do all the cutscenes with a player from every one of the teams - a player who doesn't mind playing a different character whilst pretending to be themselves. And has a least a modicum of acting ability.

I see your point. Then the players you interact with should be non-stars or journeymen that do not impact actual gameplay. If they nerfed Shammy to be like Denver from 2k17 that would be great.

Right now I'm dying to reach 90 overall and unlock the ability to change my team's rotation.

I'm on the Knicks and the AI insists on playing this disgusting Joakim Noah/Kyle O'Quinn front court, which is a fireable offense imo.

I recently found out how amazing the post scorer/shot creator build is so I started a new MyCareer. I modeled my player after Hakeem Olajuwan and joined the Houston Rockets to try and get CP3 the ring he deserves.

I'm flat out broke when it comes to VC(shouldn't have spent the 80k VC 2k gave me on my post scorer/defender ) so I had to start from 60 overall with only 1,500 VC. I'm currently rated 65 about 8 games in. I'm playing on All-Star difficulty/12 minute quarters and strictly adhering to the team's offense.

We've only lost once, and that was our opener to the Warriors they just rained 3s on us from everywhere. We beat the Grizzlies twice, the 76ers twice, Charlotte( ), Dallas, and Sacramento. For the most part the games haven't been close, but these aren't exactly cream of the crop teams we're beating so I'll stick with All-Star. Sacramento gave us the most trouble. Only beat them by 2 points...

I'm averaging 7pts, 11rebs, 2 asts, and 2 blks in 18 minutes coming off the bench. Shooting around 73% from the field and 83% from the FT line. I'm basically playing a Tyson Chandler type of role. Set picks, get boards, protect the rim, and finish in the paint off pick and rolls, dump off passes, and offensive rebound putbacks. I'm going to stick to this playstyle until I have the ratings and badges to be an unstoppable post scoring force.

Playing with Chris and James has been really fun. CP3 will actually pass to me when I'm open in the paint after he draws the defense(Unlike Kemba -_-) and James Harden can't be stopped when he gets going.

I absolutely HATE Eric Gordon though. He can't dribble the ball 2 feet without getting ripped and he takes horrible shots. When him and Shammy are on the court at the same time I'm a nervous wreck. They both shoot lights out if they're open tho so there are some positives.

I've got a pretty good formula going as far as not getting shot out of the building by the CPU while I'm on the floor. In Charlotte it was a struggle to stay at .500 even when I was averaging 20pts and 20rebs nightly. I've kept ACE on and I think it has helped. I hard hedge every pick and roll and switch every down screen I'm involved in to shut down the CPU's contested shot cheese and it has been pretty effective. My teammates actually rotate well when I hard hedge the pick and roll ball handler. They even intercept the pass if the offense tries to force a pass in the lane.

I've also had success with managing the timeouts myself. If MKG drains a 3 with his 40ish 3 point rating I call a timeout. If we're up 10 when I enter the game and the CPU brings it to within 5 I call a timeout. The AI coach doesn't do a good job of the stopping the CPUs rubberbanding ways so I take it upon myself.

Hopefully we are still as successful when I get in the starting lineup.

I mean VC kinda sucks. Still seems similar to last year though in prices. Definitely feels like that they kinda forcing your hand to buy VC though. I love the grind, but not enough to start at 60.

I think badges should take time. I don't want people getting badges easy even if they buy VC all day. As long as you see results for different badge rankings I am not mad. Put the work in and get better. Game will keep me busy for awhile.

I’m fine with badges taking time. Im just not sure its worth doing anything in the practice facility once you get the initial badge. Since it takes so long and you would waste a ton of time in there once it’s all added up earning no VC.

I can’t speak for last year. I haven’t bought this game since 2014. The amount they shove VC in your face seems absurd to me though. I’ll be out for another 5 years or so if the trend continues. I realize that doesn’t mean anything to them though because of VC. Haha. My 60 dollars is nothing when people are spending hundreds.

What's the deal with Rookie of the Year award? I get told in a bunch of cutscenes its mine for the taking, and overtake Lonzo, but with a few games left he's back at the top. Regular season ends, and the ranking disappears from the stats screens, and nothing is said to me. Then I notice a couple of games into the playoffs that I got an achievement for winning. Is that it? No in game acknowledgement of it, having gone on about it for weeks?

im still stuck at 66 overall lol i've played like 31 games. Kind of frustrating being so slow.
