Can someone who actually watches NBA IRL explain a reference to me? In the first round of the playoffs I'm Bulls vs Raptors, and the pre-game video intro has a voice-over which starts with "The playoff match-up begins with a heavy dose of citrus". Can any explain to me what the **** this means?

Same thing happened with me! Dude went bat **** crazy on me and started yelling at me because we got blown out. Then 1 loss later he's telling me to calm down and not "show my cards" to the other team!

The further you get the more you realise the "storyline" is actually a total joke this year (in a bad way). Its just a series of unconnected sketches, not a story at all. Its ok with Bubba because those scenes are just that - sketches, but Shammy's conversations actually occasionally try and have some story, and it ends up making no sense because they're not joined up. Towards the end of the season I have a row with Shammy where basically DJ is getting too big for his boots and calls out Shammy as little league - Shammy storms off. Then no cutscenes for a few games, then I get a text from Shammy inviting me to the tattoo parlour, and its like nothing ever happened.

The story in this year's mycareer is awful - the only bits which vaguely join up are the shoe deals. Funny 2k's attention was focused on the brand tie-ups at the expense of everything else huh?

This injury deal is crazy. I didn't mind it at first but Kawhi has been injured three times in the span of basically a month. First an ankle injury that kept him out 4-6 weeks, then he comes back and sprains his ankle like two games later, then another two games later that sprained ankle turns into another 4-6 week injury.

Team also traded Joffrey Lauvergne (who got decent minutes) for Sheldon Mac (who is starting at 2 despite being a 66 overall over Shammy and Manu) and Tomas Satoransky who isn't getting playing time because there's 5 PGs before him including myself. I don't like playing online with my PG but this just makes me wish I did to get to 90 overall before this happened.

Edit: Next game, Rudy Gay goes down, now just need LaMarcus to go down and we can cycle back to what happened earlier in my season!

My player is a jerk. You guys get to the mountain dew scene? I really HATE what they did to this mode. Why can't we have a humble player instead of this jerk off.

I've long hated how they've made me act in some scenes for a while. Won't spoil too much but there was one scene with Shammy where my guy said some things I'd never say to the guy. I even chose to be supportive in a scene with someone else and it still felt like I was being inconsiderate. I don't really care too much about being hokey, that's harmless but don't make me feel uneasy with my own character. I act professional every conference/interview so I know it's not my choices dictating that either.


Uhhhh on a side note, just got an ad for the All Star break during a game and Kobe Bryant was listed on the Western All Stars side. I...don't think I missed something? I saved a clip and maybe I'll share it later but wow at that.

I recently found out how amazing the post scorer/shot creator build is so I started a new MyCareer. I modeled my player after Hakeem Olajuwan and joined the Houston Rockets to try and get CP3 the ring he deserves.

I'm flat out broke when it comes to VC(shouldn't have spent the 80k VC 2k gave me on my post scorer/defender ) so I had to start from 60 overall with only 1,500 VC. I'm currently rated 65 about 8 games in. I'm playing on All-Star difficulty/12 minute quarters and strictly adhering to the team's offense.

We've only lost once, and that was our opener to the Warriors they just rained 3s on us from everywhere. We beat the Grizzlies twice, the 76ers twice, Charlotte( ), Dallas, and Sacramento. For the most part the games haven't been close, but these aren't exactly cream of the crop teams we're beating so I'll stick with All-Star. Sacramento gave us the most trouble. Only beat them by 2 points...

I'm averaging 7pts, 11rebs, 2 asts, and 2 blks in 18 minutes coming off the bench. Shooting around 73% from the field and 83% from the FT line. I'm basically playing a Tyson Chandler type of role. Set picks, get boards, protect the rim, and finish in the paint off pick and rolls, dump off passes, and offensive rebound putbacks. I'm going to stick to this playstyle until I have the ratings and badges to be an unstoppable post scoring force.

Playing with Chris and James has been really fun. CP3 will actually pass to me when I'm open in the paint after he draws the defense(Unlike Kemba -_-) and James Harden can't be stopped when he gets going.

I absolutely HATE Eric Gordon though. He can't dribble the ball 2 feet without getting ripped and he takes horrible shots. When him and Shammy are on the court at the same time I'm a nervous wreck. They both shoot lights out if they're open tho so there are some positives.

I've got a pretty good formula going as far as not getting shot out of the building by the CPU while I'm on the floor. In Charlotte it was a struggle to stay at .500 even when I was averaging 20pts and 20rebs nightly. I've kept ACE on and I think it has helped. I hard hedge every pick and roll and switch every down screen I'm involved in to shut down the CPU's contested shot cheese and it has been pretty effective. My teammates actually rotate well when I hard hedge the pick and roll ball handler. They even intercept the pass if the offense tries to force a pass in the lane.

I've also had success with managing the timeouts myself. If MKG drains a 3 with his 40ish 3 point rating I call a timeout. If we're up 10 when I enter the game and the CPU brings it to within 5 I call a timeout. The AI coach doesn't do a good job of the stopping the CPUs rubberbanding ways so I take it upon myself.

Hopefully we are still as successful when I get in the starting lineup.

Basically I wanted HOF post move badges, mid range deadeye, and gold difficult shots. I also get a much higher mid range rating and even get a 70 3 ball when I max out all those bars. I still get 90+ post move ratings so when everything comes together I should be able to score with the best of them.

I didn't feel like the defense I got from making defense my secondary was good enough to outweigh the decreased offensive ability. I still get silver rim protector so I'm fine with a more offensive build.

Does a difficulty multiplier exist? I just watched one of Smoove's latest videos, and he said no. Just play on Pro?

I picked my number (11) during the jordan street ball tournament. Signed with the Kings and now I'm number 18. All i keep thinking about is Omri Casspi and it's driving me insane!

Kinda sucks the park is kinda "pay to play" I'm only a 63 overall and literally no one will play with me. I was there for an hour and didn't get one game in, one court had two guys on it 65, and a 70 and I guess they felt like playing with a 63 was below their level.

Guess I'll keep grinding and earn VC to hopefully be able to play in the park this year.
