Can someone who actually watches NBA IRL explain a reference to me? In the first round of the playoffs I'm Bulls vs Raptors, and the pre-game video intro has a voice-over which starts with "The playoff match-up begins with a heavy dose of citrus". Can any explain to me what the **** this means?

I was really hoping an American/NBA fan could explain this - is it going to be a mystery for ever?

Separate question - how long does everyone set their quarters to? So far I've only gone up to 6minutes for first season, but feels like next season if I want more realistic stats need to go much higher.

Thank you. i came here for this very reason. I've been playing nba2k for years, and this is the first time i've literally felt anger trying to play it. My shooting percentages are in the 20s. I can not hit anything as a shot creating playmaker. What points i do score are almost all from driving lay ups and free throws. An occasional jump shot here and there. This is the least amount of fun i've had in a mycareer yet.

This is my experience exactly. Very frustrating.

I wish we could edit players in MyCareer. Not move players around, just edit ratings, tendencies, badges, accessories, etc... That and sliders.

I'm starting PG on the 76ers so Fultz comes off the bench I wish I could edit either him or me could start at SG (at the beginning I didn't know picking Phi as my favorite team would place me there), which also is funny because if i was a 5'11 PG the computer would probably force most of my mins to be played at SG Remember the 2K where you had to try out and could get cut? The good days..

can someone who's reached 90 ovr describe exactly what we can? is it like myleague/mygm where you'll have coaching options come up where you can edit rotations? do you ask management for 3 players you want to be traded to the team like in 2k14 (i believe) or can you just pick any players to come over?

The amount of Injuries in this game is out of control. I am a 87 Overall Shoot Creator/Playmaker for the OKC Thunder. Rusell Westbrook went through 2 injuries already in the same season. First injury was a foot injury he was out for 1 month and 2 weeks, he comes back and literally i kid you not 2 games later hes injured again with a severe ankle sprain. To make matters worse a game later Paul George goes down with a knee injury. Rusell Westbrook is one of the most durable players in the entire NBA but 2k makes him look like he has tooth picks for body parts. Literally every game somebody is getting injured either from my team or the opposition.

The other issue for me is the fact that some people get a shoe offer from all 4 companies while others get only 2. For me i choose Nike at the start of mycareer and i got offers from adidas and UA which i turned both down, however i am 40 games into the season and i still haven't heard anything from Jordan or Nike. There definitely some kind of glitch going on with the endorsements because there is some people that get all 4 but others don't and i don't think what you choose at the start matters because Chris smove choose Jordan but he still got a offer from all 4.

I picked Nike and only got offers for UA and Adidas. I turned both of them down and it's January. I haven't got an offer from Nike or Jordan. Will I eventually get an offer with Nike or Jordan? So does that Mean UA could be Nike and someone else? Maybe the computer waits a while since we turned to offers down?

I tried that on my career where I picked Adidas. Turned down both UA and Jordan. Still didn't get anything from Adidas on that season. I played the rookie season and on my second season the agent messaged that UA is ready to make another offer. I said I am not interested and he said he will not contact them ever again. I don't know what will happen next.

I received offers from others when I negotiated for more VC with UA. I had three pending offers when I choosed UA, no shoe offers after I signed (for the season).

Next season I'm going to press them hard.

I know exactly how you feel after posting that picture yesterday. Pau Gasol and Davis Bertans are like the only bigs on my team left not injured after the AI traded away Joffrey so they're playing heavy minutes despite being fatigued. If Pau goes down, we're in major trouble.

I was playing with Superstar but might have to bump it down myself. I'm having to put up triple doubles just to even try to be close (but we're not because we don't have the man power at all that get minutes to be able to win). I was so upset when I unlocked new upgrades and didn't go up in overall and remained at an 88. 90 can't come soon enough to manage these rotations.

I'm only an 82 OVR right now.. double-doubles are happening.. but it's boards and not assists without Kat or Butler to score when I dish.. gonna start doing more walk-on and park/playground .. aka.. 'the grind' to get more VC.. and this is with the VC for Legend Edition .. now that I'm starting I'll get 1k VC per game so by 40 season games played I hope to be close to 90? Of course we'll be 10 games under 500 by then.. we were 11-7 when the bigs went down

So.. second game without the combination of KAT and Butler.. we beat the Wizards by 16.. BUT.. guess what.. now Teague gets hurt .. so we've lost the starting center, power forward, and point guard.. in 4 games.. THIS one at least is just 'day to day' but I'm shocked how difficult 2K's trying to make it

Please update us about that because I had the same issue on 2 different MyCareer saves.

Edit: and it does not only happen when you pick Nike. Same happened when I picked Nike and Adidas on different saves. Nike turned out to be UA and Adidas. Adidas turned out to be UA and Jordan.

A fix has been submitted that will get this bug not to happen in new saves that will be in the next patch...

A change that will make the other shoe companies make contract offers once you've reached a high enough tier with them to get a contract for those that have already experienced this bug is currently being tested and will also hopefully make the next patch...

I'm seriously considering putting MyCareer on hold and just playing other modes to build up VC. I already lost 3 starters in my Charlotte save, and now in my Rockets save James Harden is out 6-8 weeks.

I actually have a shot at a chip with Houston. I don't want to have that ruined by 5 simultaneous injuries.
