I’m close to giving up on this mode too. I don’t even know why they tell you it’s a good shot in feedback. It’s pretty much either “perfect” or “awful”.

Agree with you on this. I have a 87 Shoot Creator/Playmaker who's attributes are 90s+ midrange shoot open 90s midrange of dribble 90s moving shot midrange and i still miss on what 2k calls it "good release" it absolutely makes no sense.

I'm seriously considering putting MyCareer on hold

Me too at the moment for the same reason. I'll play only in the pro am or in the park when using My Career mode

NIKE SHOE DEAL ISSUE UPDATE

Just a little update on the issue for people picking Nike but not getting an offer from them.. Davez and the crew found a fix and it will be in the 3rd patch for new saves! They're looking for a fix for current saves but it doesn't appear possible at the moment. They do have my save file however, so they'll be looking at it to figure it all out.

They're looking for a fix for current saves but it doesn't appear possible at the moment. They do have my save file however, so they'll be looking at it to figure it all out.

So for some people who turned down adidas and under armour and chose nike, they just get squat huh? In a game that's already hard enough to earn VC some people are getting screwed out of VC because MyCareer is so jacked up?

Yup. And when you start over you don’t get the initial vc. It’s a messed up system.

We should be able to respec our characters if we want and create a new save if this is how it’s going to be.

No...this is the fix being currently tested. We have something submitted for the patch 4 build that will make the other companies make you offers as long as you've reached tier 4 with them. So, if you picked Nike at the start, but got two other companies and either turned them down, or rejected them, you'll get offers from the other two companies. We've tested internal saves with this and it appears to work and we're in the process of testing the save he uploaded to verify his works. Our patch deadline was an hour ago, but we're expecting this to make it in it since it's very important.

What % is your player shooting overall?

I believe like 43% overall from 2 and about 37%ish in 3s. I would have a higher % from 2 but i miss so many layups lol.

And Leftos just verified that the fix worked on his save. So, for those that didn't get the shoe company you wanted, you should be able to get an offer from the right company once the next patch is released. Might have to play a few games to trigger it, though.

So.. second game without the combination of KAT and Butler.. we beat the Wizards by 16.. BUT.. guess what.. now Teague gets hurt .. so we've lost the starting center, power forward, and point guard.. in 4 games.. THIS one at least is just 'day to day' but I'm shocked how difficult 2K's trying to make it

I don't think they're "trying" to make it difficult. Something got messed up somewhere in how the injuries are manufactured by the CPU and it's out of hand at the moment. I'm sure they're looking into it. I know for a fact they're looking into the surplus of ankle injuries.

Thanks for the update. Just to clarify something here. is the patch you guys working on suppose to be dropped today? Or are we looking at something along the lines of sometime this week?.

The build goes to QA today. It'll go live sometime after they give the thumbs up. Too early to make any guesses on when you guys will get it at this point. Except definitely not today.
