I plan on making a Shot Creator/Sharpshooter and want to put him on a contender so I'm thinking

SG on OKC
SF on Houston
SF Portland

Anybody got any advice to help me decide

Can someone get a hold of a gameplay dev to speak on the shooting in this game?????

Every single "good" release is a brick. Every single one. It's at a point now where I see a good and instantly know it's not going in and start walking the other way. Slightly early/late seem to be going in almost every time.

I'm convinced there's a system in this game that bases your "excellent timings" on some unknown factor because I see plenty of non filled shot meter bars turn green on me and go in. This is the most random shooting has ever felt in a 2k game for me.

Actually I take the word random back, because my filled up shot meter "good" jumpshot likeliness of clanking the rim is anything but random.

This is the least amount of fun i've had in a mycareer yet.

For anyone wondering about the Nike shoe deal issue (picking Nike but only getting UA and Adidas), Davez Pm'd me about it and they are going to take a look at my save file and figure out the issue, or if there is or is not an issue.

Thank you. i came here for this very reason. I've been playing nba2k for years, and this is the first time i've literally felt anger trying to play it. My shooting percentages are in the 20s. I can not hit anything as a shot creating playmaker. What points i do score are almost all from driving lay ups and free throws. An occasional jump shot here and there. This is the least amount of fun i've had in a mycareer yet.

Try using bank shots off the glass more on mid-range shots. My Playmaking/Driving Finishing SG is pretty low rated on shooting (in the low 70s for most of them), but it seems I have a higher chance of a make on bank shots. Even on Good releases. Some games I'll start off shooting very poorly, but a few mid-range banks later my guy gets hot and my percentages skyrocket.

Does a difficulty multiplier exist? I just watched one of Smoove's latest videos, and he said no. Just play on Pro?

It doesn't. Just play on Pro and wreck people and get your stats up. (The rumor I heard was that there wasn't a multiplier until you got to Level 95. Not sure if that's true or not, however)

Shammy is a ball hog I really hate having him around. I’ve finally said screw it and just started calling for the ball more. You don’t seem to lose much for ignored calls and I can work off pick and roll grabbing assists and more points. Wanted to play on my fav team so touches are limited with him, kyrie, and Hayward. So just running the teams plays wasn’t working. Stats and grades are going up. Wish I would have went this route earlier cause I’m definitely not getting that ROY achievement unless something silly happens.


Is there a way to just restart the season and not lose character progress?

SOOOO glad I haven't played many minutes (yet?) with Shammy in the game.. still have to play my first start, probably tonight.. so I'll likely see more minutes with him now since I'm somewhere near 25-28 MPG. Never been a huge fan of the game having more 2K fictional characters on the team.. since we're already taking one spot ourselves.

I have a warning for all MyCareer players. When my agent asked me if I have any preference for the shoe brand, I selected Adidas. Then he came back with free shoes and offers from UA and Jordan (Yes, it didn't matter that I picked Adidas). I declined both and I no longer get any shoe endorsement offers. You better pick one of the offers coming your way not to end up with no endorsements like me.

Sounds like the same 'bug' with the Nike one maybe.. people not receiving notices about shoe contracts after choosing Nike

Warning with a SG on OKC, there is no plays ran. Just Russell taking horrible shots on ISO plays. And then on Hall of Fame, its impossibly frustrating.

Havent seen Westbrook dunk once, just horrible shots.

Kinda sucks the park is kinda "pay to play" I'm only a 63 overall and literally no one will play with me. I was there for an hour and didn't get one game in, one court had two guys on it 65, and a 70 and I guess they felt like playing with a 63 was below their level.

Guess I'll keep grinding and earn VC to hopefully be able to play in the park this year.

It's not showing him on the Cavs roster in Play Now or in the roster editor. IIRC it also doesn't show him on the Bulls roster either.

They need to reduce overall 3pt tendencies in MyCareer. Its just plain horrible atm due to the help d problems. 40-50% of FGA are 3's for all teams, boring asf...

Thanks a lot 2K.. this is officially garbage.. or b.s. .. or whatever

First we (TWolves) lose Butler for 6 weeks.. then the next game.. my first start ..the game injures KAT for 4-6 weeks also.. I didn't realize it until afterwards so I couldn't pull the old 'turn off the console and come back and restart the game' bit to see if I could get him back..

Lost the game to the Heat.. .. we're 11-8.. but there's no way THIS team will win much without at least ONE Of those two also.. Dieng and Gibson aren't going to pick up all of THAT slack.. and even though I made a 6'5 SF.. of course I'm the starting SG and now the best rebounder on the floor

I hate simming.. but if the next few games go as I expect they will.. I may sim a bunch to get them back and see just how far down we drop in the standings

Pm'd who? Cuz I'd like to know the answer as well. I've done 4 MYCareer's and everytime I pick Nike, I just get Adidas and UA.

Grinded trough regular season with my tiny PG, not that small for Nba but pretty much useless in Park games...

For the playoffs I set difficulty to All-star and play with 12 minute quarters. My Bulls(4th) take on the Celtics. I'm not a basketball expert and rarely see any Nba games but Mr. Irving's name I've heard before. He gave Rook a lesson in 1st game by scoring 44 points or something, my head was spinning...

Now in 2nd game I won easily, even Irving settled down quite a bit but then in 3rd game He was flying again. And everybody else were sinking threes like they were at MyPark.

Then I checked my difficulty level and it says "Online Park". Difficulty always changes to "Online Park" when I go to play Park games which makes sense of course, sliders are set to more offence & no defence like in other sport games online modes. Now this difficulty level does NOT change back to All-star or whatever you're using when you play Nba game in MyCareer.

Now i'm not sure if this Arcade Park mode goes into Career games as well but it certainly feels like it does.
