Quoting so this doesn’t get missed by anyone as it was posted in different thread... Great new feature!

As for the defensive settings, I wish the "Tag the Roller" setting is back in the main defensive settings menu (it's hidden somewhere in MyLeague & MyGM). Can be useful sometimes for some aggressive defense momentums on the P&R.

This is a similar thing i've been trying to say and we need to rally as a group instead of complaining in the background.

I know people have it in em, but are we willing as a group?

A sad reality that this is how we have to get attention from game developers. I miss the days of actual discussion on these forums (and others), but recognize that's likely not coming back.

I just don't see the appeal in watching other people play a video game that I own (or may own), whether that be on YouTube, Twitch, etc. Again, I recognize I may "not get it" or that it's not part of my generation, but it just seems that things have become overly complicated without necessarily needing to be. Can't we just have games that try and replicate the sports we enjoy … and also provide tools (settings and/or sliders) so that people can enjoy the game how they choose?

I have always thought the more real life and sim the game is the better it is in all modes (minus maybe playground stuff where you could get away with some of that and 1 dribble moves, etc). They can adjust. Shoot, I’ve even heard some non sim guys requesting some of the things us sim guys want at times. Some things are universal. Usually those are the bigger issues like last year with the drives being OP. At least we got some sim guys in the building but it does seem like at times they are losing the internal battle to the masses and maybe the “higher up’s” with a slightly different vision. Has to be frustrating... keep fighting the good fight and again I agree with your post in we need to make sure we send valuable information to the people who need to see it in a respectful manner and from #simmation. Strength in numbers...
I’m quoting my own quote as it’s fitting for this. I just had a back and forth with a guy on twitter under a Beluba post. We were talking about triple threat moves and jabs. ‪I posted this video of melo utilizing the jab step...

My argument and some here might disagree with me as well but I think performing a jab step like a Melo, Aldridge, Harden, or A. Davis do should create space or at least some sort of reaction and be tied to the defensive players on ball iq. Whether it’s no reaction, subtle reaction, or a drastic over reaction. It’s the most taught and used basketball move. Simple jab, pump fake and react to what the defender does. As is now you can’t really replicate it as there is no reaction to a jab. I thought 11 or 12 did this really well?! Can’t remember which one it was. How often do you see melo jab, defender backs up and then he pulls up in mid range on the wing? Can you do that in 2k realistically?

But anyways he thought there should be 0 reaction and said this is a video game and that should never happen. I immediately thought here in lies the problem. We went back in forth and he got my point but kept saying but that’s real life. Lol!

It’s a tug of war... but it kind of caught me off guard. I’m not a big twitter guy so it’s all kind of new to me but is this the stuff we are dealing with and who they are catering and listening too?

Yeah these youtubers have been saying as of late 2k needs to be arcadey smh. I just read a YouTube comment saying ''If I want to play real life bball I 'll go outside or to the gym,2k needs to be a video game not real life''y
I hope 2k isnt listening to them.

I havent got the game any more. I trade in before the new one comes out.

Basically, the center coverage for pick and rolls will determine how PGs, SGs, SFs and PFs will determine what they do when their opponent is setting the screen.

And, the pick and and roll coverage setting for them determines how the center will guard when his opponent sets the screen.

social media might be the worst thing to happen to 2k and simnation(due to arcadenation being the overwhelming majority of "2k celebs" online). its a damn shame man.

also, what kind of nonsense is this "if i wanted real bball id go outside"..man have you been to a park in the past few years? its all "let me pretend im on 2k" and playing purely arcade style with all the youngins now.

Especially jab stepping as it appears to do actually nothing in 2k18. The animation itself is funky looking and even simple pump faking granted no reaction from the defense. I really hope this isn't the case in this years game.
These are the small little details that most don’t even think about or notice yet they go a long ways for realism, immersion, and gameplay for me. It’s something I even brought up to the devs at 2k way back in 2012. Lol! Again, they have had years where it has worked great then the next year it’s gone. Immediately you think of Melo and Harden. They are great at a quick jab to create just enough space to get a shot off. Apparently this was worked on this year as mike said it on his Twitter yesterday.

can i ask if anyone here in OS in charge of the forums..only if possible to keep any online issue in one thread and not scatterd around and flooding the first 3 pages of the forums. maybe with that at least it can control them, and if anybody from 2K will check this site they will see more request and suggestion to a more realistic approach to the game. and maybe this time they will more time in hand to update any art issues. just a suggestion im not trying to remove online players here in the forum but just trying to control them of ruining this game every year.
