My Nephews came over this weekend and found some old footage of me back in my basketball footage of me back in my days. We had a few laughs, but my nephews were mostly in awe. They had NO idea how much of a savage i used to be back in the 90's era. Back then the folks use to say(they probably still regard me as) The Greatest Slasher Alive......

I still got some terrible animations that were begging for blocks but I definitely finished more layups in traffic than I normally do. Small sample size though!
        First of all congrats !

But yeah my slashing post scorer is like a Prime Amare now . Dunks everything on anybody .

          Thanks man!

Yeah they definitely changed something in the background. Before I just had to stand near someone and they would blow layups. Now, guys are finishing over me when they’re deep in the paint semi-consistently. It actually feels like inside scoring is (gasps) a viable scoring option right now. I mean Pures drilling transition 3s from 40 feet out is still the way to go but it’s nice to actually be able to contribute in the half court as an inside scorer. Why it took 8 months to accomplish this is a mystery to me though.

Being on the Asia servers there is very few opportunities to play Team ProAm but we arranged a matchup with one of the best clans in the region and came out on top. I was always guarded by the SG a 6'10 260lbs Pure Lock SF, the full lineups were

            PG: 6'8 Pure Lock
            SG: 6'10 Pure Point Forward
            SF: 6'10 Sharpshooting Defender
            PF: 6'11 Pure Stretch 4
C: 7'0 Sharpshooting Rim Protector (PF)

            PG: 6'10 Sharpshooting Defender
            SG: 6'10 Pure Lockdown
            SF: 7'0 Pure Stretch 4
            PF: 7'0 Sharpshooting Rebounder
C: 7'0 Pure Post Scorer (PF)

The other teams PG quit with about 1:30 left in the game with us up 12.

Just joined a lobby with a Pure Post who was 294-600. Quit out immediately. If that doesnt tell you how worthless post scorers are, idk what will.

Then I try and join again and I'm sitting in a lobby by myself. Lol this game is awesome.

His archetype is the reason his record sucks?

Forgot to mention he was a 93 OVR.

In almost 1000 games he was only a 33% winning player? Seems to me he didnt help many teams get Ws. They have tons of badges, but none of them accentuate their main abilities. Post fades, hooks, and floaters are all, pretty much bad shots. Hopstep jumpers are the best shot they have and they need tons of space to pull that move off. They don't rebound very well, they cant shoot very well.

I just dont see the point in post scoring this year. At all.

That sounds like he's a bad player if his record is that low. It's not the most useful archetype but I don't think it's the liability you're making it out to be. I'm happy to rock with a good post player anytime. Anything to get me away from the same boring **** all the time.

Post scoring builds are nice . Basically the Shot creators of big man . Very well rounded. And high IQ players can create a good look at Any time with them.

The problem(s) is post scorers are rarely used correctly in 5v5. Also most post animations are trash even if you create a good look. The post fade/hook has no badge helping it. In a game where badges matter more than ratings that’s huge . They were good but 2k nerfed them.

They can be godly in park and stage .

And with the right teammates they are actually my preferred choice of big man over glass cleaners who are an offensive liability .

Ill take the 5ppg avg my GC buddy gets when he averages 15 rbg. He's constantly springing shooters open by setting off ball screens. And as someone who isn't a great shooter that helps me tremendously. Plus the guy can grab a board and launch it full court without conscience. As someone who typically plays wing characters i owe at least 10-15 points a game to that guy alone. Nevermind if we have a good point.

Plus, on my reb rim i shut down most post players pretty handily. I am never worried about them even when,7'3. I'm 6'11 so their height advantage doesn't even matter. If a big,is rebounding first, but he's not max weight then he just gets shoved around.

I like my rim but im more of a wing player. I can do better out the post with my slashing shot creator because I can post up from mid and have way more options.

What kind of C works best really depends on the rest of the lineup especially the ball handler, the most effective lineups I've played with had 7'0 Sharpshooting Rim Protector at the 5. The versatility to both Roll or Pop+ step out on a switch and guard a ball handler is fantastic whereas a Post Scorer or Glass Cleaner is really going to struggle if forced to switch onto a ball handler.

Y’all know post scorers have breakstarter and dimer but also pick pop /roll right on every build right ?

Then you can reb / shot / slashing /defense / sharp to its secondary depending on the team’s needs.

                            They aren’t completely useless lol.

On another note won a game with some decent randoms . They were all on mics and shared the ball. They even let me post up which is super rare.

The next game we matched up with an elite squad . Had a record of 1200 wins and like 60 losses lol. That ended the session pretty quickly .

I made a 6'4 max wingspan PG pure slasher. Why? Because I'm bored and why the hell not at this point lol

I doubt I'll ever use it but maybe I'll have an impulse over the summer to grind it. I don't even have VC lol
