On the team i ran with in 18 and will run with again in 19 (Elite 5/6) it was more about attacking mismatches than having a 1st, 2nd option etc, i usually played C on my 7'1 Pure Athletic Finisher or PF on my 6'11 Two Way Athletic Finisher, only time the offense stalled was when ball movement slowed down. PF is going to be a 6'10 Sharp/Slash Slash/Sharp he hasn't decided yet. Probably our best lineup featured a 6'7 Two Way Slasher at the 4 who was nigh unguarable by bigs.

What I'll probably do is bring my Two Way Athletic Finisher down to 6'10 230lbs where the 89 Vertical+ 7'10" wingspan will make up for the lack of height, at that height its a faster Anthony Davis which will be a nightmare to guard.

Oh ok I’m thinking of going max wingspan with the slashing post to make up for defense and reb .

But How did you not sell on defense with a pure athletic ? I get destroyed with dude .

I had my problems but with the way shooting was in 18 it was effectively trading 3's for 2's if you went at me.

So now my guy wants to make a SG (playmaker/defender), for the extra height. But I know all that's going to do is push me down to PG which I don't want to do. What can I say to deter him from doing this.

Anyone going with a 6'8 2 guard ?

It all depends on whether or not this year's game has a more noticeable on-court speed differential, because last year, there were no real gameplay differences between a 90 speed player and a 70 speed player.

Any ideas if they changed charge card and/or chasedown artist? They felt kinda useless. Thinking about 6'10 PF with defense first, driving 2nd and those are sadly the only HOF badges for this build

If you don't have at least one PF or C on your team who can activate the rim protector takeover mode (either a defender primary or a 94 OVR two-way), then I would expect that team to get destroyed inside by posterizers, post spins/dropsteps and clearout animations this year.

I think perimeter defenders will be less necessary in 2K19 since all it takes to make someone give up the ball on the perimeter is to drain their energy, which can happen very quickly if the ball-handler does too many dribble moves or tries to dribble into a defender's body.
