Question for you is you’re settings on play physical defence problem is the ai will play aggressively which causes my fouls. Maybe, keeping it conservative will reduce it to the level you like.

Ksuttonjr76! Too bad you’re not on PlayStation, because then you can check how many hours you log on NBA2K19! PS4 has this 2018 wrap up which is a good concept on what games you play and how long. For example, NBA2K18 was 214 hours vs NBA2K19 175 hours. I know this community will be in the thousands for sure lol!

Lol. Misread his original comment. I was thinking 5 fouls per QUARTER. I would kill for only 5 fouls per game from the AI, lol.

I noticed just how much a difference playing with good defensive teams makes. Having a defensive anchor at C and one speedy perimeter defender makes life so much easier. You can shut down whoever your opponent is forcing it with, which is the case in most games for me, and if you don't your big man will bail you out or at least make most would be BS a bad shot.

I have a mix off on and off ball depending on what the biggest threat is; biggest threat being whatever the worst thing 2K can decide to do at the time. I make sure I get over on people who are jacking up 3s, and sink ready to grab passes when they are spamming P&R, if they make tough contested layups I'll take that.

Defensive settings make a huge difference as far as stopping the random AI brain farts, but I don't think I can play without a top tier rim protector and wing defender now.

I noticed the 76ers seems to be more powerful now...almost like the Dubs where you can't make a mistake.

Only thing is I haven't come across a decent player yet so I just sag on Simmons all day again and they still try to drive lol. Band wagoners...

Dudes can't even hit an open mid court jumper with Simmons but if it's some crazy layup over a short point guard it will go in. If it happens to often I have to put a bigger body on him.

I swear some people have VIP accounts that allows them to do BS to help them win.

Every time I was up 5-6 points this dude make ridiculous 3s with LBJ...that's sus in itself.

Finally 4th quarter here's me thinking your a dead man cus you don't sub well.....first foul of the quarter by me the "to many penalties" messages popups ...of course he takes the win because knows the outcome....

Seriously to many penalties wtf is that? I've seen dudes get 8 fouls on me in 1 quarter and that thing never popped up.

The whole game I barely fouled...that foul in the 4th was probably my 3rd of the whole game....geez to many penalties....random has hell or maybe not for those with VIP accounts. Mummy and Daddy paid extra....

Dudes can't even hit an open mid court jumper with Simmons but if it's some crazy layup over a short point guard it will go in. If it happens to often I have to put a bigger body on him.

If I play Philly (Mostly after 20 to 30 dashboards of all all time/current warriors) I’ll take kawhi and immediately put him at point guard during the pre-dame options screen. I don’t even mess around with in game options (we all know how accurate those work out sometimes).

Lol. Some days, I rather take a good old *** whupping vs playing a game and trading leads back and forth. I swear, when I have those close games, I feel like I get cheated more by the game then actually got beaten by my opponent. When games are that close, you are watching EVERYTHING that happens on the court.

I had one game where I was up four points, and my opponent drove into the paint with James Harden and straight at Turner. Truthfully, I don't know if this animation had always been there, but my shot blocker had a clean look to block the layup, and then he pulled his hand back at the last moment. In my mind, it was about to be smothered chicken, lol. It ended up being a uncontested layup to bring him within two points. I won the game, but I was so mad at that point.

Every year I was buying the game on release day

Last year I stopped playing around Mid-December even though every year I am between 85-90% in PNO

I bought this game today as I found it for 39 euros just to give it a try. I played straight up 5 PNO games

And OMG I was SO dissapointed. I had a record of 4-1 but jesus christ.

PNO does not represent basketball AT all. First of the players was not a good user so he dropped after 1 quarter
The other one was an ok user, I beat him rather easily. I said oh ok, let's see how is this game this year

Then the tragedy came.

3rd user didnt do anything else than spam fast breaks after basked. His offenses were literally all 3 seconds or less. Defensive AI after baskets still not fixed after so many years? I lost and it was so frustrating

4 user run a play for3 pointers all-game long. He shot 36 3s with the Kings with the same play all game. At the end I switched to swith all at off-ball screens and I barely won, but it was an agony to watch the same thing over and over and over

5th game was a repetition of the 3rd game, spamming bad AI defensive after baskets. I won, barely, like 77-72 or something only when I switched to 2-3 zone which is somehow effective against this time of spammers since 2k15 or something

It is dissapointing really. For me it is not really even if I win or lose. I won the last 2 games and I was so mad as if I had lost. I just want to enjoy a game of basketball and this is certainly no basketball

To add to that zig zag is still effective plus 3s seem to go in in a very good ration even moving 3s or contested ones, after a crazy 3 on a fastbreak the one offesive players manages to get the offensive board

Not to mention that everyone plays that "stay home" defense with no defensive rotations whatsoever which seems to be the way to go for the last 3-4 years and feels super unnatural

I don't want to win 2k by fighting cheese with cheese. I dom't really care if I win as long as I play sometype of SIM basketball

No more online for me. I will try to enjoy as much as possible the offline modes

I just played the 76ers in my last game and did exactly that. I played with them the game before and saw Simmons had shooting ratings in the 50's. I put him on gap against my SG. At one point I was even off-balling with his defender into the lane so he would notice and pass to Simmons. He went 0/4 on wide open 3's like he should have. He is still ridiculous if you let him get anywhere near the paint because of his 95+ layup rating.

After another game, I definitely feel it too. They get ALL of those annoying, my player is a superstar and your's inst BS, like when I blocked Ben Simmons in the paint twice and he caught it over my C and PG to score before I could even try to get the ball.

Think I found a pretty good strategy for people who constantly try to steal the inbound pass. I've been trying it and have had a lot of consistent success, and it's ridiculously satisfying because I know my opponent is pissed.

When they try to get in front of the potential receiver, I switch to the other and pass to my streaking PG if it wasn't him, I then sprint in front of the guy pressing the inbound and hold LT to prevent them from ever getting back into the play. Your ball handler with hold off the defender and it will either be the man who should be guarding you, and you can get off an easy floater, or pass it to whoever helps. If it is someone else's defender behind you, you can send them to the rim or just let them get open as you come up the court.

I'ts one of the most satisfying things I've ever done because of how annoyingly anti-annoying it is.
