Great. There's a glitch where people can avoid the pause timer. The crap people do to avoid a loss.

I hate playing against dudes who will foul intentionally like that as they know it wont be called as clear path.Comment

Well I had lag again. Kept loosing to the worst players. Shooting 3s with Looney? Livingston 3 goes in. Give me a break....
4pt play to start the game by an AI foul. Some games are just rigged from the start....Last edited by WBjam; 11-23-2018, 08:01 PM.Comment

Re: NBA 2K19 Play Now Online Thread
Yes a few weeks ago and the speed is 10x better for uploads/downloads however I still have lag 90% of the time, like stuck in mud lag.
Played 3 games last night after the patch and they were fairly smooth. I don't know if it was the patch and/or 2K did something behind the scenes after blaming my ISP.
My next step will be contact my ISP however about the ping times 300ms is quite high.
I'm actually going to redo my whole setup and only hardwire my xbox to narrow things down before I spend money on a new router. I'm eyeing this TP Link router that's $100 off right now at $49.99.
This is what it says and why I'm interested.
Ideal for Seamless Streaming and Online Gaming
Stream Ultra HD video without buffering, play online games without lag, download large files in a flash, and discover countless other ways for the Touch P5 to exceed your wireless expectations. Blazing fast AC Wi-Fi speeds of up to 1900 Mbps ensure that everyone on your network can enjoy smooth streaming video and low-latency online gaming.

300ms? Damn, I'm only at about 56ms it's still horrible. I read that bufferbloat is the cause of high latency and getting a better quality router with qos settings will make it better.

Also if they are a peer to peer that means there should be less lag if the opponent is close by but that doesn't seem to be case.
I'm going to change to another ISP with Fibre and see if that makes a difference.
Other games have no problem. 2K is the worst.Comment

Did anyone notice GAP does not work. I have GAP/GAP on Simmons but the AI will just body him up outside the 3 line wtf.
Double teams have no effect this year, if you try swipe it while you have both defenders on it will just foul, and the double team itself will not make them drop the ball. They can easily pass out of it.Last edited by WBjam; 11-25-2018, 07:48 AM.Comment

Re: NBA 2K19 Play Now Online Thread
9 out 10 games I'm just playing against fast breakers who only pass to the guy I'm guarding. Does anyone not f*** fast break! Even with Limit Transition it's hard to beat.
I can't even off ball D with this lag, forget about on ball.
When it's not fast break just push forward and hard as you can to the basket and the AI will bail you out with foul.
I'm constantly playing these tight games against dudes who have no idea how to play and the game keeps helping them.
Nail in the coffin dunk missed! 2 plays later he hits a 3 with Javale Mcgee to tie the game...FFS the lag is killing me, these dudes would be quitting in the first quarter with this level of skill.
I ended up winning somehow so I'm ranting after a win that's how bad it is.Last edited by WBjam; 11-25-2018, 08:49 AM.Comment

Re: NBA 2K19 Play Now Online Thread
Playing this game without a shot meter and feedback is the best way to play. It's so much easier to stay focused when you're not arguing with the game about what was contested or not contested. Also, it's nice not complaining whether or not the bar was full, and that the shot should have been a green release.Comment

I’ve had the shot meter turned off ever since they came out with it. I prefer to actually watch and get a feel for the actual jumper than some arcadish meter. Plus I feel like some jumpers are to quick for the meter. Shot feedback only is the way to go for me.

Ditto. Sometimes I just get bored and turn it on, but my shooting percentages are definitely better with it off. I don't how people play with it on 24/7. To me, it takes the visual focus off the game and player you're controlling. I shoot within the flow of the game, and I just remember the "timing" of my players. I like the feedback system to "calibrate" what's considered to be open and contested within certain contexts. Contrary to popular belief, I still think Mike Wang is making unannounced tuner changes to the shooting. However, that's a good thing, because he doesn't have to put up with people whining and complaining about the changes on Twitter. Players just merely adjust and keep it moving.Comment
