I'm done with this game.

Unless my xbox one x is broke or has issues with playing this game then there's no more troubleshooting I can do.

It plays like a pile of **** no matter the time of day or what I do.

I just removed every other wired or wireless device from my home network and still lagged

Player on 3 different TVs from 4K-1080p and still lagged.

Tried different ethernet and hdmi cables and still lagged.

You can feel the lag in the controller vibrations, sometimes the controller doesn't vibrate when shooting a jumper or FT's.

The only 2 causes could be my xbox one x is malfunctioning or my latency increases while playing this game because of my location from the 2K server.

It’s the game/2k servers man. 2k is the only game I get the lag/choppy play with. Once in a blue moon I’ll get a smooth game (which are incredible to play by the way).

But yeah, it’s a laggy game online 95% of the time, that’s how I approach it, that how I play it.

Other games run smooth 95% of the time and lag 5% of the time. The exact

What type of upload and download speeds do you get from your provider?

Also, what type of router and modem? I'd strongly recommend staying away from the free modem/router your cable provider may offer. Its ****, and isn't even worth the rental charge of $____/month

I understand you guys are frustrated, but some games are more data extensive so I'm curious. I usually have a good connection with minimal lag, but in the same breath my download/upload speeds are rare.

I have to say, once I learned some more advanced controls and learned how to protect the ball and play human-controlled man defense, the game has been way more enjoyable. I’ve been winning and keeping losses close with mainly Brooklyn and the Blazers.

Highly recommend practicing in freelance mode just protecting the rock moving along the perimeter and chaining a couple moves together to burst out. It will completely offset the opponents who mash the steal button and they’ll end up just racking up fouls or taking their guy out of the play allowing for easy buckets.

Learn how to body up guys and actually contest on D. You can crowd their space, and position yourself to time steals much more easily when you figure out how the game works.

If you’re just standing in front of someone in real life dribbling the ball, then it’s an easy steal no matter who is dribbling and in 2k it plays the same. Protecting the ball is realistic and also works wonders in this game.

Speed tests on the xbox has my upload over 80mbps and download around 30mbps and latency around 50-60ms.

Speed tests on my laptop yeld speeds as advertised by Verizon with 12ms ping.

Seems like more than enough.

I've been looking at other router options, but I don't know that getting a new one will solve my issues with this game.

I'm starting to think it's the 2K server that you're connecting to in your region. You've literally tried everything possible besides changing ISP. Even then, NBA 2K is the only game you're having problems with.

I still say trying the mobile hotspot for kicks and giggles [emoji3] . Another that you could try is using a VPN. Supposedly, Agent 00 used that method, and he was able to reduce his lag tremendously.

FV, I heard some people go thru VPN to get a clean download and upload speeds? maybe try or look into that maybe?

Only problem with the mobile hot spot is my cell signal strength isn't that great in my game room which is in the basement. You would think being wired to the router everything would be smooth, but no. I may just go ahead and get a new router from best buy and return it if it doesn't help.

Does anyone know if there is a way to use a custom playbook for PNO? I remember you could do it 2k17, by creating a playbook in myleague, is there anything like that for 2k19?

Current Raptors tier 1 games and drum roll please.......all time bucks for tier 2 and alltime pelicans for tier 3.

I blame other users for this catastrophe. All I would do
Is dashboard repeatedly over and over again because ever opponent was an alltime team, then I’d get tired of dashboarding because “I just wanted to play” and would lose and take on unnecessary losses.

Now that I’ve joined the herd of mindless sheep I’ve gone undefeated in tier 2/3 games......this game is so easy using these teams it’s almost effortless.

Either way, hope the 2k gods are happy now, I’ve been driven to a dark place.

Are there actually multiple regions with servers, I thought there is only one region?

Even though I have 300ms ping to the US once outside my country 2K18 and prior did not lag most of the time. That is smooth as anything, I may have to just stick to playing that.

So something is definitely odd with the 2k19 server or game itself.

I'm switching ISP to one that uses Fibre I read it is much faster than VDSL but the ping will still be the same. It may improve performance however if the ping is low with my opponent.

Just hoping with the route to the 2K servers will be better than the current ISP.

Another possibility is that the 2K19 sinply have to many players they can handle, which is just crap. If you think about it there will be alot less players on 2K18 that's why it appears faster for me.

Weird how you always get match up to all time. I pretty much never get matched up.

Because of all the lag I went down from college 2 levels so I'm just sticking to playing with my fav team in tier 1 and not bothering to level up.

Why should I bother trying to play better people with all this lag...may aswell enjoy using my team against crap opponents and I have a chance to win. Shoot 3s with Looney and Mcgee that's the quality I play against now and can barely win sometimes.
