Re: Official NBA 2k19 MyLeague/MyGM Thread
These wacky simulations happen every year in 2K. I remember last year I turned injuries off and Boston would miss the playoffs in 70% of my simulations. Just a product of the terrible job 2K does with tendencies and coach profiles, etc.PSN / Xbox GT - BLUEnYELLOW28Comment

Re: Official NBA 2k19 MyLeague/MyGM Thread
The first sims I ran after release, the Hawks always won 20-30 games, but now they are one of the Top Teams in the East.
Maybe they changed some ratings for the players, I don´t know.Don´t play video games, play BasketballComment

In my test ML the Hawks were as bad as they should be. I don't know what's the deal now. Toronto is another team that's too good. In my test ML Toronto won the chip over a healthy GS. I just wrote it off. Toronto is still great even after trading Kawhi for Ingram. Thats the only change. Toronto was the 1 seed and are currently up 2 games to none over Boston (the 6 seed) in the EFC. I even manually injured Lowry, Ingram, Valanchuuis and Ibaka, they still won game 3 over a healthy Boston squad. I want Boston/Houston in the finals but the sim engine ain't having it!Comment

Trae Young turns into Curry in like a year in MyLeague, they added Kyrie in the second year of my test run and won a title. Not sure it’s possible to get a realistic SIM in this game mode as of yet.Comment

Yea Trae is usually around 20 ppg in 1 and pushing 30 in year 2. In just about all my sims I had traded Baz so that likely helped out his scoring a bit.Retro Redemption - Starting over with a oldschool PowerBone Offense

Yep easiest rebuild I’ve ever done was ATL Hawks, Young was a 90 overall with two more years on his rookie scale after one untapped potential.Comment

You must be doing 30 team control in free agency? These signings are extremely logical and don’t hamstring the teams forever, which tends to be the case with MyLeague free agency since foreverComment

observations over approximately 30 different simmed year one seasons.
Kawhi ALWAYS, without fail, signed an extension with Toronto during the season. He also took home several MVP awards and almost always won DPOY.
Hawks consistently wound up as the 4th-6th seed and sometimes made the 2nd round and once the conference finals. Young was almost always ROY (Ayton won a few) and consistently averaged 20 plus, 5 assists or more and a ridiculously low amount of turnovers (then again Harden and others also have far too few turnovers).
GS and Houston were the only Western conference teams to make the finals. In the East Toronto was the most frequent finals team, followed by Boston, Philly, and Milwaukee.
GS/Houston won every time but two, when Toronto won. No other Eastern team won the championship.
Klay Thompson most often signs with the Hawks in the off season. Jimmy Butler almost always resigns with Minnesota. Durant almost always resigns with GS.Comment

Re: Official NBA 2k19 MyLeague/MyGM Thread
Got a question.
What are your thoughts on undoing trades? For example, I like Bridges and love the story of going to the team his mom works for. I want to basically undo that trade.
However if you look at 2K ratings, Bridges will be a way better player (at least according to potential).
How do you feel about stuff like that?Comment

If that's the story you want to tell, go for it -- personally loved that angle too (and, man, what a harsh Day 1 lesson for the rookie). I feel the 76ers gambled for a pick that might end up being anything; Bridges was the more proven player, IMO. He was the better go to take, especially with their core, in the short and long term but whatever.
The "Start in Offseason" version of ML is great for these types of things.Comment
