I usually get through about 10-12 each year. I always do a fantasy draft and typically have a good first few seasons. Then, almost inevitably, everything falls apart and I'm in the lottery for several seasons. Usually ends with a good comeback season or two at the main end once I've built through the draft. I always turn trades off and have all teams build through the draft because obviously players tend to stay with the teams that drafted them more often that way and I like that. Easier to keep up with the fictional draft players that way.
I usually never win more than one championship and it's fun too see your team go through both highs and lows and with the trades off I feel like I have a better and more memorable connection with the players I do get on my team. Last year I had Damian Lillard and Deandre Jordan on my team for all 11 seasons Lillard finished 6th all time in 3 point shooting and in the top 30 in all time points. Jordan finished 6th all time in rebounding, 6th all time in games played, and 10th all time in blocks. Loved every second of that team last year and was just starting to really come back with a couple of young players that had developed, my new core being a power forward I had drafted before the 8th season named Marcus Graham. He was a very Tim Duncan like player but could hit the occasional 3. I loved that team and had a very hard time putting an end to it on 2k18 but when Lillard and Jordan both retired at the same time, and it being only about 8 days before I'd have 2k19 I ended it there. One of my all time favorite dynasties I've had.
I've mostly just been fooling around and testing stuff as well as playing Play Now offline but I'm going to be jumping into MyLeague head first in about mid October. Can't wait.
Edit: Won a championship in the 2nd season last year, played 11 seasons total
