Can someone else test these contract sliders if they are any good? https://forums.operationsports.com/f...post2049543417Comment

Give Barnseys progression sliders a try. Someone ran a sim with them and they brought the high overalls down a good bit from default.Comment

Re: Official NBA 2k19 MyLeague/MyGM Thread
Well at least for me, i create a draft class for every year. When i play mygm there are great matchups and its cool to see your created players play, especially in the finals. Its just fun for the immersion. I prefer MyGm to myleague just due to the restraints as far as editing attributes + i like coaches having ratings and badges. But i may have to go with ML unless 2k patches in the ability to watch games 🤞🏿
I think you can do that by just not selecting a team when you are getting ready to actually play a game. That’s what I would do sometimes when I would just wanna chill and watch a game of the created player of myself (based on my actual my player) but I wouldn’t be surprised if they removed or forgot to add it. A lot needs to be patched in this game so for now I’m waiting to start a my league bc we can’t even wear the alternate jerseys when you create new uniforms lol only home and away for now.

If I am not mistaken this was in last years game too. If I didn’t like a rule or felt like the rule I decided to change messed up the flow of the game then I would go back to the league history, then rule change history and change it back

Re: Official NBA 2k19 MyLeague/MyGM Thread
Been keeping an eye on this thread and it does seem like things are less buggy than last year. I would start right away but the bigger part of me is still wanting wait around for opening day player updates. I always run a fantasy draft anyway but still, I want those opening day player attributes.
Meh.. I feel like it’s the same bugs from last year. So far, the uniform bug is still there and that drive me nuts last year. Like for example when creating expansion teams for my league, when I go to design the uniforms, the third or alternate uniform always glitches into the other or opposite team uniform. Really annoying then come to find out when I’m about to play, I can’t even select the 3rd uniform!

Yeah, I wish this was fixed too -- I'd like to rebrand some teams but I'm holding off until they get a fix out for this error. Looking back through Google, it seems this has happened the last 2-3 years on launch and I'm not sure why it keeps getting overlooked in terms of Q&A testing.
I guess they're just worried about higher priority stuff, which is understandable as outside a few bugs like that, ML is in good shape.Comment

Can created players be used in an online my league?

Re: Official NBA 2k19 MyLeague/MyGM Thread
Was enjoying the MyGM story mode, although 2k must not want you to play it more than once since it takes forever to get into that first season and not everyone is talented with the jersey/arena/team creation.
Made the 4th seed in the West the first year with an expansion team (bought in Tony Parker, Nicolas Batum, Dewayne Dedmon, Nikola Mirotic and Korver to teach a young Doncic led team the ropes). Somehow a stray Pelicans first rounder I hadn’t given a second thought to conveyed 7th overall and we got Barrett the next year, then traded for Whiteside from the SuperSonics.
First seed the year afterward, lose to GS in 6 in the conference finals. What sucked was the entire staff seemed to have disappeared from the staff signing so despite having the COTY I had to hire a random with inferior ratings and badges.
Give up a few role players, resign Whiteside on the cheap then bring in more former Spurs (Kyle Anderson) and an older Kyle Lowry to reenforce the bench. Second seed, lose to GS again 2-4 in the conference finals. Can’t help but feel we could have taken it to at least seven with the same coaching staff from the previous year.
Feel like it’s impossible to get past GS (I’ve been simming every game) would like to add a superstar, our cap sheet will be clear until next year when we have to pay Doncic (all nba 3rd team, all star).
Right now our lineup is
G Doncic
G Josh Hart
F RJ Barrett
F Jordan Bell
C Whiteside
6 Niko (won 6MOY our first year)
Kyle Lowry
Kyle Anderson

Re: Official NBA 2k19 MyLeague/MyGM Thread
I watch dozens of games each year. MyLeague is like a living universe to me. I play with all the teams but sometimes I like to just watch a game and "scout" or just peep how the CPU uses players. Oftentimes I'll clean up or cook, or surf the Web or whatever. It's also pretty cool to see a team you built up (like I did the Nets last year) performing well with players you drafted and signed.
I feel like watching games helps with player tendencies as well because I remember when I first created a player based on my actual my career player, same rating and all (88 at the time) and he would only shoot so many times and pass up a lot of open shots. Once I went and tweaked a few tendencies I found myself watching more games than playing. I noticed too that the alpha dog badge came in handy for him when the team would be down or need a spark. He always came thru in the clutch

Re: Official NBA 2k19 MyLeague/MyGM Thread
Also does anyone have any indication whether 2k plans on fixing player mentorship or not? It’s pretty jarring my 22 year old franchise player who made an all nba team has all of three badges despite being mentored by many great players.Comment

Re: Official NBA 2k19 MyLeague/MyGM Thread
More than likely going to wait on booting up MyLeague till we get closer to the season.
Toying with the idea of doing a 14 game campaign with no injuries, playing every second, and getting through a great deal of seasons.
Some of the pros I've thought of with this are:
- The ability to get through a decade or more without having to grind playing
- NBA goes on averages not on cumulative stats, so I don't have as many non-realistic stats to worry about
- I can watch teams go through rebuilds, prosperities, peaks, and declines, at least once, maybe more
- Dynasties can be formed, continued, or never happen
- No injuries means I get everyone at their full strength. It's difficult to follow injuries around the league without totally being invested into other team's business.
- Every game counts and a couple hiccups could alter your entire campaign
- Competing/tanking decisions have to be made quickly
I'd like to hear some negatives, thanks.Last edited by saintrules; 09-21-2018, 03:44 PM.~ Return of the King ~Comment
