You're referencing the ones who didn't talk about the additions improvements, new level of defensive improvemnts and went on about VC and crap?

Some casuals who don't know it play NBA basketball? You do see they didn't mention any of that stuff right?

Some people aren't even strong enough to have their own opinions.. bringing up IGN is even worse

Ign is the same company that almost killed 2k telling them to take out all the plays and only leave 4 quick plays in the game... Handily advising them to make the worse game they ever made in the series

Go ahead and play live like you've been doing..where IGN whoops on Street ball and give them a pass for their generic NBA effort.

This is stupid. 2K is probably the best sports sim game but there's no doubt there are HUGE VC issues.

They also obviously made the grind miserable so people want to buy VC. 2k18 was incredibly terrible in this aspect so they lost a lot of their good will.

Obviously user scores are going to be low when MyCareer/Park/ProAM is the most mode played mode by far and that is the mode that the devs are abusing the players and making it miserable. Sure people could play other modes but clearly they dont want to including me. All I want to do is play ProAM with friends. 2K makes it difficult for me to enjoy that and puts all these unnecessary barriers. So yeah the gameplay may be a 8, 9, or 10 out of 10 but those barriers are preventing me from enjoying it. And people should keep complaining about it so that the message gets out there and hopefully the devs keep improving that experience like they did going from the joke that was 2k18 to 2k19. But we need more.

I would agree with this; if you look at people live streaming 2K, you pretty much never see PNO or My League, only rarely do you see My Career and it's almost always someone just grinding badges (i.e. exploiting the system for as many points possible as opposed to playing proper basketball).

The overwhelming majority of what you see are people playing Park or Rec under titles like "Best Jumpshot Here!", "Streaking on Kids in Park!", "Dribble God Taking Ankles!",etc.

If that is any sort of accurate representation of the player base(which tends to be supported by the poll numbers on 2K TV), then the majority of players tend to frequent the modes mostly hardly hit with issues arising from micros.To them, their favorite game mode has issues that make it very frustrating to play;It would make sense then that it is what you will hear the most complaints about....Are they usually overstating the situation? Almost certainly.However, that does not mean that there isn't an issue with the way that mode is constructed.

And as much as some people like to just hand wave this particular issue away, when their favorite mode has issues, I see these same people in related topics and they do the exact same thing...blow the situation out of proportion then complain about it.

Now, as for User ratings, with almost 20 years in a field involving Customer Service,allow me to speak as someone familiar with Customer Satisfaction surveys/comment areas...Most people that do these only do them because they had a problem or they have an axe to grind; essentially they see a blank space to vent their feelings and when they have something bad to say they aren't afraid to let you know.On the other hand, the vast majority of people who are satisfied never bother to respond and say "Hey, everything was good, I enjoyed it."

It feels like convos involving certain topics often follows a specific pattern here:

-Some starts a thread about an issue, at first there is a bit of measured conversation about it, assuming the issue is reasonable.

-People who don't have a good perspective of the issue, or who are just flat out opposed, come in and begin to simply hand wave the issue away,usually because they are not much affected by it.The OP or others who agree offer rebuttals, vigorous back and forth ensues.

-The thread devolves from open debate or giving advice into people bickering for no other reason than they just want to win the conversational fight.At this point the original topic is almost always derailed then eventually someone loses their cool enough to say something personal.

-Personal attacks begin, this is usually where a mod has to come in and lay down the law.Generally at this point the thread often ends up locked as all substantive debate has ceased.

-A new thread opens and the cycle repeats from the beginning.

I wish there was a place to debate it without people getting mad. I'd also debate 2k has the best game play period if that were possible without starting a flame war.



I didn't buy 2k and may not at all this year. I might get it for 30 but honestly I am loving the other game so much I don't even care. Cuz I'm an imbecile haha right. Nah but I'm always gonna come in here and talk about vc. Any forum I am involved in that I can mention vc I'm gonna do it. Haha. And the funny thing is it's not even vc isn't a problem anymore, it's like just ignore the vc modes.



VC and grind are big problems. I love 2k as a franchise management Sim using simcast live. I've seen enough actual 2k gameplay for one lifetime tho. Unless they really switch it up. Really the only way you can get great adrenaline pumping gameplay is to go against other humans.



But I love to chill with offline modes n Sim. It's true that you don't need to play other modes but it's almost like saying the other game is mediocre cuz franchise mode is garbage. How is that different than saying don't play modes that require vc?

I've just been SOOO dissapointed in 2K this entire gen, gameplay wise its just not fun to play. 2k16 will remain the only great one that actually provided me with what I'm looking for

Why should this be locked? The only person really being hostile in here is you from what I've read.

The game has terrible reviews on steam too, 2k has done nothing to stop the rampant cheating on PC, I think most of the same hacks/cheats work from last year too. So it's not just the consoles.
