Yes they have gotten completely greedy. The patch yesterday was basically to stop the vc "exploit".

Much obliged for the kind words. I won't go as far as to say "putting lipstick on a pig" but... the total lack of effort and respect for true SIM guys who are the backbone of who this franchise was initially marketed to when it comes to core issues like player ratings and tendencies, help defense & lack of fast break awareness (both offensively and defensively) is abominal.

Even moreso for it to continue to be the same case year after year. And then even further with he amount of editing that has to be done to offset SOME of those issues.

For me; I'm VERY happy with 2k18 right now and will not be editing the same **** year after year at this point to get the best out of the game so that makes it a non-purchase for me... Couple that with the fact that players will STILL leave a shooter wide-open when they shouldn't and then in the same breath, not help off of a non shooter when they should are fundamental issues that I can just keep playing last year's iterations since not addressed.

LOTS of new & pretty animations, trinkets and enticers but the meat STILL isn't and hasn't been getting fixed for some time. Protesting with my pocket, good sir.

Yeah, think it was in the 2nd qtr 10-Q in regards to where they are generally heading with their games.

It's a pretty large travesty that an otherwise stellar game is getting slammed because of the continuous VC push by the company. I'm a MyLeague player only, have NEVER purchased VC in a game, and it doesn't effect me.

What the on the court product provides me though, as well as the armchair gm mode provides me, is exactly what I look forward to. A VERY well implemented virtual NBA that I control. That's what I buy my NBA title for. Right now, there is only 1 game on the market that continues to strive for realism and pushes the limits of those modes.

It's easier to post on the internet than play games

How many complaining about grinding do you see where they could be improving their players and skills?

It's amazing to me how people don't see how much fraudulence is in this community.....mainly online wanna be gods.

                  They don't care about Czar

All they do is play fantasy modes and complain that it's not realistic

I actually sympathize the VC/micro complaints from people who are actively grinding....I understand why they they feel how they feel on certain aspects of the grind, I really do. Some though, have hopped on the VC train because it's the 'cool' thing to bash, and its obvious in a lot of those reviews.

What gets me, is that some have seemingly memorized every frame The Neighborhood trailer, so they can make references, but somehow missed all the info/blogs given on how much work was put into the actual basketball side of the game. Guess they just missed that.

The idea thay 2K ignored the NBA side of things this year is complete nonsense.

                      He actually said this:

"We are convinced that we are probably from an industry view undermonetizing on a per-user basis. There is wood to chop because I think we can do more, and we can do more without interfering with our strategy of being the most creative and our ethical approach, which is delighting consumers."
And he said it during a technology conference during a presentation, which is essentially just him bragging to people about their business. Not in a federally mandated 10-Q financial report that is sent to the Securities and Exchange Commission.

He also said this, which you so purposefully ignored to make your point:

"But we're not trying to optimize the monetization of everything we do to the nth degree. My concern is, if you do that, the consumer knows. They might not even know that they know, but they feel it."

"We're not going to grab the last nickel," he said.

Genuine question for the "grinding" complaint.

Do you guys want to be a 90 within a week of having the game? I understand starting at 60 is dumb, but I don't see how progressing super quick is fun for anyone.

The vast majority of those user reviews on meteoritic will be the online, My Park crowd upset that they haven't just been given a 99 rated player to play with right out of the box.

Ironically that's part of the reason there is a rising amount of backlash the last year or so, mostly aimed at AAA companies who overly push microtransactions.

Many consumers are beginning to feel as if they are indeed, trying to grab every last nickel.

VC sure. I wish it would go away..

                                But...

On the court really is that good. Totally will get my 60 bucks worth. I've probably put in 50,000 hours in my lifetime playing nba 2k. I think for 60 bucks a pop, yeah, I'm just happy as I could be. Even the worst 2K's I didn't like, like 17 and 18 a little, I played them all year until the next one.
