Really? Cuz I play on the same and feel there is a big difference imo. You cant see how guys that aren't great defenders are all of a sudden contesting like they are elite defenders? This change has got roll players contesting like Kawhi Leonard. I felt the difference right away.

Re: Patch 6 Notes
constant smothering on-ball defense and constant op shot contests = NO FUN.Quote, in real NBA the defender stays at some distances from his man. See the defense of Miami teamates vs the King yesterday. They gave some space to him. This doesn't happen in 2K19, after passing halfcourt you have the man close to you, not realistic.
More, for me is impossible to score that kind of shoot that Lebron did, never scoring forcing like him.

Re: NBA 2K19 Patch 1.06 Available Now - Patch Notes Here
Shot contest is OP and unrealistic, shot % is unrealistic and high.
What 2k had to do before making shot contest OP after release was to lower % of the high unrealistic make shots. But no, they thought otherwise to cater the casuals/cheesers.
Thank you 2k.Comment

Re: Patch 6 Notes
There are still tons of issues one the court. Namely, the AI on both sides of the ball. CPU defenders still don't react realistically to anything a user does; they react to button inputs rather than the movement of the player, allowing them to mirror the user, and limit passing lanes when they can't even see the ball, or wouldn't have time to react in real life.
And on the offensive side, they just don't play like humans. It feels more like they extort the game's physics and animations to get open looks or force their way to the basket. It takes me, as the user, twice as long to get through a screen on defense than it takes the CPU. CPU ball handlers can dribble through the paint and into players with no penalty, while I lose the ball if I'm within a foot of another player's leg.
There is a ton of room for improvement on the court, offline.Comment

Re: NBA 2K19 Patch 1.06 Available Now - Patch Notes Here
The whole shot feedback is broken. A lot of the shots you make and miss seem to be lightly contested..... when in fact, most are wide open, open or heavilly contested. You could literally be wide open and it'll still say lightly contested half the time.I just had a game against Phoenix, and I paid close attention to this.

Re: NBA 2K19 Patch 1.06 Available Now - Patch Notes Here
and this is why i never take gameplay patches seriously bcoz most gamers dont know what are they really lookin for the game...(by the way i qoute you bcoz i played the same way and barely see any sooo game breaking issue with the game) on other hand 6 patches and not a single player update seriously this is a valid request that overlook because of nonstop so called game issues. at least update the starting 5 from every team whose look is very outdated like Zach, Covington, Mathews just to name a few..I just had a game against Phoenix, and I paid close attention to this.

I'm sick of all you online guys complaining. YOU know what you're getting into the moment you go live. No control over sliders, have to deal with "unconventional" styles of play, etc.
If you want the control over your gameplay experience, then go offline. Geez. Every ****ing year.Comment

What an ignorant comment. The devs control the sliders online and it’s their responsibility to balance the game with them. And no, we don’t know what we’re getting. Year to year, and even patch to patch, the tuning changes and sometimes it’s more balanced and sometimes less.I'm sick of all you online guys complaining. Online gaming isn’t new. 2K Sports sells millions more copies every year because they partake in that market space. They’re fully aware of the responsibility that comes with that. I could just as easily say “I don’t care how the A.I. behaves in a pick and roll or on the fast break. You play against the computer so you know what you signed up for.” but that’s dumb and anti-consumer. We all purchase the game for different reasons and we all want to enjoy the experience.Comment

Re: NBA 2K19 Patch 1.06 Available Now - Patch Notes Here
What you see it in is the speed they contest with and the distances they can contest from. I see a perfect example in this vid. Look at 0:10...look at the distance he can affect your shot from. Dude isn't even in front of you and his teammate (who doesn't get a hand up to contest) comes between the two of you before you shoot. How in the world is that not an open shot?I just had a game against Phoenix, and I paid close attention to this.

Re: NBA 2K19 Patch 1.06 Available Now - Patch Notes Here
What is your definition of balance? Because I guarantee you there are a million differing views on what constitutes a balanced online experience. Devs, casuals, simsters. Face it, there is no consensus and expecting 2k to find that consensus is unreal because 33-50 percent of you will hate whatever tweak is made and make it known on boards such as these. What an ignorant comment. The game can't be defensive balanced, because lovers of offense will hate it. Can't be too fast paced, or half court guys will call it arcardish ****. Can't have too many 3's, or paint based players will feel obsolete. Can't have too many turnovers, or crafty ballhandlers will say they can never cross a guy. I mean, I can do this all day......Last edited by Hengist; 11-20-2018, 12:39 PM.Comment
