Either they changed or the pictures that 2KLab originally used on their recommended builds didn't actually match their builds. I was messing around in the Builder the other day and noticed that no matter what you do, you couldn't create the build that they have on 2KLab. I suspect they just posted the wrong picture though.

So if you're only a 70 something OVR you won't have your max attributes yet. You need to get to a 95 to hit the intended attributes you selected initially. So when you're creating your character and you're selecting a physical pie chart, you'll only hit those numbers at a 95. Once at 95 tho, every OVR you get after that will +1 to your physicals. You can also do gatorade drills in the neighborhood for weekly boosts. But i highly recommend playing 45 games in Career without simming for the season, then playing all your playoff games to win a championship. Then you'll receive the Gym Rat badge which will raise all your physical attributes +4 permanently.
Oh yeah, I get that, but there's only one pie chart that has 95 speed and acceleration. I was looking at it the other day, and I noticed that I won't reach the vertical rating even at a 95 overall. It kinda threw me off. In my mind, I can use those extra ratings on the vertical.

i think its 1 from the bottom but that 1 still gives high acc, speed and vert at the expense of no strenght.

i use that 1 for my midget guard builds.

you do need finishing to get it to 95 though.

i notice using the shooting defending pie i get lesser speed, acc and vert then when i went finishing defending.

        makes sense.

Does anyone have an opinion about playing with someone who has HOF Floor General and Defensive Leader? I'm just being a team player by giving everyone additional boost to their stats.

I like it I run hof floor and a center friend runs hof def so the whole team is boosted on Both sides also added benefit of being able to tell teammates which guys are shooters when it comes to builds that aren’t traditional shooting builds (like glass cleaning locks)

I mean... I can do both on my SF but my teammates have never said they see a noticeable difference. Other than having those annoying numbers on the court i don't see the point. I can try it out tonight tho and give some more current feedback.

I tried both the night before, since my build can get HOF badges in Playmaking and Defense. Outside of watching the numbers too closely (I made some stupid, unnecessary turnovers), it seems alright. The HOF Defensive Leader was kinda nice, because I could easily guess the results of the shot (minus green releases obviously) before it got to the rim. I think I'm the only one who can see the numbers with the HOF Floor General Badge. If that's the case, I'll probably drop that to gold, so my teammates can still get the benefits of a boost combined with my HOF Dimer badge. The numbers were too distracting while on offense, but there's really no point for me to have the numbers since I typically make good pases. In fact, it felt like I was "hunting" for the numbers in green before I would make a pass which lead to some of my stupid turnovers.

I only asked, because I felt like my 3 teammates quit shortly after tip-off so they didn't have to deal with the numbers.

Yeah...that was the other advantage. It was nice knowing where my opponents' hot spots were. In the one game, my man was dancing behind screens, but the badge allowed me to see he wasn't crap from beyond the arc, so I would just go under the screen instead. Without the badge, I would have probably played him like he was a 3PT threat which does open the floor for more possible dribble drives.

That does make things interesting. I'll have to try that. Could make more sense off the ball than with the ball because i could call out hot zones. Very interesting indeed.

It was nice. Real talk. If my defender dared me to shoot a 3, I would be a deer in headlights, lol.

Yeah that pg build can shoot tho, don't sleep. My only problem with it is most defensive badges for guards are just as good on Gold if not better. I feel the HOF big man badges, not so muchthe guard ones

Damn...messed up my PG build by having the driving dunk rating being too high. Time to work on my center

I have one of those at 6'2" with max wingspan and if I could remake him I would have gone with a play/slasher instead of a pure slasher to get those extra shooting attributes and the HOF playmaking badges.

Pure slashers can only hit threes in the corners but play slashers can hit threes from anywhere and the dunking/finishing is about the same while the difference between HOF playmaking badges and gold playmaking badges is very noticeable.

Damn...messed up my PG build by having the driving dunk rating being too high.
If you can't get contact dunks and you're on a build with alley oop tendencies that are too low to dunk alley oops then I wouldn't bother going past 41 on driving dunks since that's the threshold to unlock rim grazers.

But if your character can dunk alley oops (many archetypes will only finish them as layups even with the pro tier animations equipped) then you should stop at 65 to get the pro alley oops.

All those extra attributes from 66 to 83 are pointless IMO unless you're on a big man and you want to unlock the Shaq and Dwight dunk packages at 70.

Does anyone have an opinion about playing with someone who has HOF Floor General and Defensive Leader? I'm just being a team player by giving everyone additional boost to their stats.
Floor general doesn't matter much HOF dimer is a lot more helpful, especially to teammates who have a three point rating under 85.

I think defensive leader is worth doing though I notice a big difference in the quality of animations with non defensive builds whenever someone has it on HOF.

When you bring certain defensive ratings up from the 70s into the 80s I feel like it unlocks new animations.

Yeah my allround 2way is pretty much a cheat code lol.

any open shot is pretty much a 99% green.

once you get hotzones and hotzone hunter you can barely miss....

perimiter defense is pretty much lockdown and only struggle is inside.
then again i wonder how that will be once i get intimidator on HOF and rim protector bronze.

good enough passing and with 6 finishing badges i can score inside on the break.

should have made this build much sooner!!!!!
