Can we finally select uniforms and accessoires in MLO games? Can we see more than the first 33 friends when inviting someone to PNO or MLO? Do coach and controller settings stay when starting a MLO game?

Re: NBA 2K20 Patch 1.03 Available - Patch Notes Here
For those who think it's faster or lighter, what do you mean exactly? Skating, faster end to end movement, faster animations?
Ive seen a few animations which may have been quicker, but not the other stuff. And Ive played with one team pre and post patch so I have a good frame of reference. Ill have a really close look in a couple of hours.Comment

Is double teaming bug fixed?
I have no issue with doubles in the post, off pnr or iso but if my PG is hot (and by hot I mean 3 assists in a row) they double as soon as I inbound and in 3 passes I'm dunking. Kills so many tight enjoyable games I had where I win by 20 because I had 10 dunks in a row in the last 2 minutesComment

I think what you guys are feeling is that the gameplay has been sped up some which makes it feel like that the players are lighter. Like I said earlier they cleaned up some of the dribbling animations to transition better. Looks good to me.
Not as fast as 2k19 speed but with footplanting. TBH that's fine by me just as long defenders don't warp and magically end up in front of you. I've been playing play now quick games.

They updated the myplayer ui with new icons etc. Could not be more obvious that this is official v1.0...Comment

Pretty much all the complaints I've seen are from online/park people. Patches to appease them will likely affect the realism of the NBA aspect. I seriously would be on board with 2K making a separate game for the Park people who don't care at all about the NBA in the name.Comment

Re: NBA 2K20 Patch 1.03 Available - Patch Notes Here
A lot of the complaints about the patch and the gameplay changes, specifically the speed, in animations and players themselves...really have me extremely concerned. The game in my opinion pre patch, had the best fluid and natural movement of the series. Players had weight in a way they never really had in any other iteration of 2k. Even on defense the weight and movement felt real and thus it was fun to defend. Players on the court behaved like NBA professionals, and you could realistically defend. There was lots of great defensive animations and on ball and off ball defense felt so realistic and rewarding. More than anything the game was Sim, and it was the most fun I've had playing 2k in years. I haven't been able to play since the big patch update yet, but I am extremely concerned that the update has changed all of that.
I've been purchasing every 2k since the first one on Dreamcast. I remember being on here actually interacting with Mike Wang (Beluba) during the frenzy of excitement of the lead up to the release of 2k11. I remember Mike Wang visiting the "Attention to detail in the Jordan Challenge" thread, and actually engaging with us and involving us in the making of the game itself and it's gameplay and content. I personally had a few personal conversations with Mike via the Operation Sports Private Messager that directly revolved around specific gameplay suggestions and animations that were unique to Jordan, that were actually implemented into the final game. I felt directly involved and invested in the product. I felt listened to and my imput felt valued. I also felt that the developers interactions and transparency/availability with the Sim community, was directly responsible for 2k11 becoming the game it was. Gradually that level of control and influence on the final product, has shifted almost entirely to the YouTube channels and Park players which in some ways I get. But it sucks feeling ignored and abandoned. In some ways I'm feeling like an outdated relic, because I don't play My Player or Park. I am just a rabid fan of the game of basketball and have been for years. The reason why I gravitated so heavily towards 2k was because 2k was the sim alternative to the NBA Live franchise, which was much more sped up unrealistic arcade gameplay, that was not reflective of the actual NBA game. For the longest time NBA Live was the dominant force in basketball video gaming and 2k was the upstart that was trying to compete with the EA juggernaut. Fast forward to 2019 and 2k is more of a juggernaut then Live was and they have essentially beaten Live into retreat which they have done multiple times since the release of 2k11. I personally feel as though they have lost much of what made them different and special, what made them what they were. I remember the mission statement was to totally replicate NBA basketball in every aspect to mimic an NBA broadcast. In many ways in 2k20 we were closer to that original goal then ever before. NBA 2k19 was the first one I did not purchase after renting it and hating just about everything about the gameplay and I had very low expectations for 2k20. Now I have played it obsessively since launch and had some of the best games and moments I've had in years of playing this series.
Shouldn't we be given the option to keep the game as it was? Maybe making My Player, My Career and Park a seperate game really is the answer. Because it really is two completely separate crowds demanding two completely separate gameplay experiences.Comment

Imo the game speed is too fast and I had to turn it down between 40-45. I've been seeing some sliding here and there. I swear foot planting was much more evident pre updates.Last edited by Charles Bliss; 09-14-2019, 07:48 AM.Comment

If you need further understanding just have another look at OG’s L stick video as i know you’ve seen it already and there the momentum, the heaviness, the footplanting, the crispy and different movements of the players in control is not possible anymore. They are on full skates. Clipping all over.Comment

I do have a very good reference, too. I mostly played Pelicans since day1 offline at least 50 games, the speed and the feel of the game has changed 2 more times before patch, too. I’m that sensitive to those changes. The momentum of players, the weight, the speed differentiation is nowhere near the day1 version of the game. Now Zion and Lonzo can feel the same in terms of movement and heaviness.
