Re: NBA 2K20 Patch 1.03 Available - Patch Notes Here
It’s toned down. I haven’t seen the full court double in a long time and it takes longer for a hot player to be doubled. That said, dumping the ball into the post for a player like Blake will result in a double team at times which is just smart. I have zero issues with double teams right now.Comment

I'm seeing Superstar cheese that wasn't there before. Specifically, so much paint cheese, as another poster mentioned. The ability to protect the paint is something that I praised on release, but it seems to have been nerfed. I'm dropping to All-Star.Comment

Honest impressions compared to day one gameplay for an offline SIM-head. I play 11-12 minute quarters on HOF.
The speed SEEMS like it MIGHT be a hair faster. However, are they outta control, on skates, or doing anything odd like some people have eluded to on this thread? No. The fast guys are still faster than the slower guys. The separation between athletic freaks and average players is still there, and prominent.
Turbo still needs to be utilized when appropriate or you will get tired or lack explosion. I still love how that is implemented and how you can time a burst and feels the players explode. Has a realistic feeling to it this year.
Shooting has become easier, which I expected -- Much more greens for the CPU and I. I'm not a fan, but if this is what I have to deal with to have gameplay damn near day 1's, I'm okay with it.
Inside shots drop more often and green much more often as well. Reggie Jackson laid the ball up over Russell Westbrook and Clint Capela. I was usering Capela and it probably would've been swallowed pre-patch as it should have been, but he somehow got the ball over me and went in. I see this being something people complain about in the future.
Jumpball feels a little more fluid. It still feels slightly delayed but its more like 1 second delay vs. 2 second delay.
Overall, I am VERY pleased with the patch. Prior to the patch, we had the "update required" on the screen and it felt different and sticky, like 2K19 before the patch dropped. Now it feels closer to day one with shooting enhancements and easier ability to finish over bigs. I'm excited to play the game again.
I'd recommend all my sim-heads to give it a shot. The good gameplay is still there with minor differences that are tolerable.Comment

First game post patch. Fox is blowing by Spurs how he should. I dropped speed from 50-48 and it’s perfect.
Not one crazy double yet. Really had to run my offense.
Fox has 19-4-6 at half. Star players play how they should.
Shooting does seem easier, but I need at times to get CPU to NBA Averages
This is a post I respect. Things like jump ball. Stuff that matters. D a lot tighter even if some guys are a tad quicker than they should be on the bump
I had a guard over guard a little easy in the post. But, guards aren’t getting much if a good big like AD is in thereLast edited by WCBasketball; 09-14-2019, 12:42 PM.Comment

Re: NBA 2K20 Patch 1.03 Available - Patch Notes Here
I like the game post patch. I can still beat Hof cpu defenders off the drrible and create space for jumpers. However, offensive Rebounding is still OP.
The best improvement to me is the right stick contest. You can now slide your feet on drives to the rim and right stick contest, while still staying between the man driving towards the rim.Psn: Alabamarob

Speed changes are not imaginary because you can look at Mike's Twitter if you're in doubt [emoji23]
I had the game before the day 1 patch and I know it's different. I didn't see this kind of sliding albeit not a ton, speed overall to the pace, and the AI behave certain ways like drive and kick was evident.
I don't even think the AI kicks it back out after rebounds anymore.
I put up videos and clips I can reference so I'm definitely not tripping.
Sky is not falling and this is not 2k19 but there is no placebo here. It's the exact reason people didn't want Mike finagling with the game less than 24 hours after release.
I hadn't touched a single slider, now I feel like I have to.

Re: NBA 2K20 Patch 1.03 Available - Patch Notes Here
Has Mike said anything on Twitter about speed other than when he changed Park speed, then changed it back "so it should be like offline"?
BTW, was 2K19 fast for ya'll? Lol. I don't get the "back to 2K19" references, is that just the thing to say? The way everyone was glued to each other on the perimeter made it feel sluggish to me personally. Had to use speed edits to make it feel better.
I definitely agree on the CPU paint scoring, though that's an issue I've had from the beginning, and something some have mentioned from the jump. Too many conversions while your standing there in hands up...even if you've got the height advantage.Comment

Liz Cambage just tried it on me from the elbow, smh. None of that was there. Stuff like that but again it's not game breaking or a "I'm scared guys" kinda thing.
Anyway, yeah he's been changing speeds since the demo. It has affected all modes not just park. I saw spacial Jones and GSW asking him to tone it down for 3 days and eventually they unfollowed him because he doesn't answer unless it's about badges or builds
That last time he said it was changed back to almost what it was at release then he said he sped up dribbling which was all right before the patch.
Paint stuff can be fixed, it has before. Likely a tendency edit or quick change under the hood.
I'm just not happy to see nerf or buff because the reason for that is what I'm cautious about

Also for those of you who haven’t downloaded the patch, please don’t post stuff like “i hope the patch didn’t do this and I hope this..” ... blah blah. Download the patch. Play the game. See if you like it. Stop reading everyone’s opinion on it if you already have the game lol. Just download it.PSN: MajorJosephxComment
