At this point im begging. The REC is unplayable. I just went 5/7 and had 2 dudes that had 25 shots EACH tell me I WAS WHY WE LOST.

Nothing new.

Too often, I've been in, and lost games where my teammates blame me and point to my point total (e.g. 2pts on 1 on 2 shots), while they've been chucking(e.g. 7/24) and/or turning the ball over close to ten times.
What was I doing? Watching them lose the game of course.

The crazy part is dudes invited me to the party and we had 5 in the party.

I am the best teammate possible all game. I already know what happens if you are the odd man out and say something critical of teammates so I usually join parties and support everyone even if im pissed off.

Theres a PG in the game taking ******* shots left and right and as soon as we are all certain were going to lose, everyone gangs up on me.


That crap is DEAD bro.

The old me would sit there and argue for an hour. Me now just said gg and left the party.

The only thing worse than playing with randoms is playing with a group of friends who blame everything on the random.


At a certain point i was even blamed for the PG getting turnovers, because i brought my man to him. Like homie I didnt bring my man to you, you and your 3 teammates have literally passed to me like 3 times ALL GAME, so my man just doubled you bro. Its not my fault you passed to the wrong guy and got a turnover.

When is the last time any of you guys finished a rec game where you were obviously winning and no1 on the other team quit?

I seriously cant remember the last time i even ended a game that i wouldve won. it seems like everyone quits now. i post this because iv been playing for maybe the last 3 hours and havent won once or even been close. but the one time im about to win everyone quits in the 4th.

does quitting not affect rep anymore?

They still get the loss and don't earn the accumulated VC, rep, and skill points, right?

The problem is the grading system and the matchmaking.

It's almost impossible to grade out. I've seen dudes shoot 1/15 with a bunch of turnovers while their cover lights them up.... Still stay in the game.

In terms of matchmaking, they really need to figure something out. Right now it's based on overall, which mat be a start, but why should I have to team up with an 70ovr who's grinding badges or is brand new to the game? Add to that that they only get in because they're squaded up and that I'm too often running solo and up against squads.... Ya I'm quitting.

Until 2k figures out a proper form of matchmaking (as per the reason for this thread) they actually should continue to not punish quitting.

No way! Are you sure? Yeah, I'm definitely going to avoid REC this year. I already get upset when people quit in NBA 2K20 if we get down so many points.

They probably have it that way because of the lower number of players currently on PS5. It's probably hard to get 10 players to start, so if you're on a team where you began with only 3 humans and 2 A.I.s, your down and your teammates quit, it allows you to do the same without penalty.

PNO, is 1v1 so no need to give players an out.

Nah...PNO should have the option to back out at least at the team selection. There are enough players online at any given time that you'll get a new matchup pretty quick. Never really understood why they took that out in the first place.

If I’m on a team with a bunch of idiots, why should I be stuck with them for 30 minutes? If I see someone chucking up stupid shots, I’m out. If I see people Buddy-balling, I’m out. If I see someone who refuses to play defense, I’m out. If I see my teammates playing like deer in headlights, I’m out.

Quitting should never be rewarded. Can’t take your ball and go home cause things don’t go your way, even irl you get teammates you may not like.
