Matchmaking in Rec is awful.
I'll tell you just like I told the other guy: Not every squad is built for Pro-Am. Example: I could get on and a few IRL buddies decide they want to play. I know they're not very good, but hey, **** it. So we squad up and jump into Rec for a few games just to BS around. Win a couple, lose one or two. No harm no foul.
These are dudes that I would never take anywhere NEAR tryhard squads. Like kdurantmvp said: We all play this game for a different reason and if they in the rec, they could be beat. Simple as that. But you guys talk like squads are this unbeatable boss on superman 64.
You don't know if so-and-so squaded up with some IRL buddies who aren't good at all and just wants to run a couple quick games. But you want to force them to get thrown into the fire immediately, in order to make yourself feel better. Hell, it's funny, some of the teams YOU beat up on ARE squads, they just look like randoms because aren't very good. They can catch some wins here or there, but they're out there for the fun of it. If you force some far more casual players into modes where it's doomsquad after doomsquad after tryhard team, a lot of them are going to lose interest in the game. But if they run into a tryhard team every once in a while, they'll be more prone to say 'Ah well, next.'
You keep thinking I'm referring to my own interests, when I'm advocating for letting lesser squads and those who want to just relax and take it easy play the Rec teamed up with their buddies. Not be forced into nearly breaking their controller after almost every single game.
A team that wants to try hard goes into 5 out or zone from tip off.
Its easy to tell dude.
They are what people are complaining about.
Its those same try hards that msg me to quit so they can get into the next game to try and get another easy win.
Also its not that hard to spot fewer squads both as teammates or as your opponent.
Odds are they will look for each other even if someone is in a better position.
Not to mention when 1 quits the other almost immediately follow.
If people cant tell then there is nothing i can say about .
So basically you are saying that squads are playing this game to relax and solo players are there to help them archieve that.
Solo players arent playing to relax themselves?

If you run into a squad, SO THE HELL WHAT. I've ran into those same squads, solo and squaded up myself, and we just play them without all the whining, crying and pouting. If you go in solo, that's the ****ing risk you take. If you have semi-competent randoms on your team, jump on the mic and tell them it's a zone and tell them how to adjust. If they're smart, they'll adjust. Do I bitch and complain if I run into a clan in COD, if I went in by myself? No. I deal with it, and keep it moving. You might want to do the same thing.
PS: And apparently, you don't know how this community works. Think back to the Combine. People can and will manipulate the 'solo' Rec, to where they're going to get in as a squad anyway. And you'll be right back here b****ing yet again.Last edited by Caelumfang; 05-10-2020, 12:10 PM.Comment

Re: Matchmaking in Rec is awful.
That's a lie, and you know it. You and I both know it's going to attract more hardcore squads. So, if that's the case, if I want to take a more relaxed approach to the game for the day for whatever reason, why the **** would I go to a mode where I am going to have to be ON EDGE more often than not? That literally makes 0 sense. Being on edge is literally the opposite of relaxing.
That is EXACTLY what the Rec is for.
But when I say I don’t want squads in the rec, I need to man up.
You’re gonna make hamburgers for life bro

Re: Matchmaking in Rec is awful.
Bro, do you have any clue how games work? I don't give a damn WHAT game you play, you're going to eventually run into squads if the game has a team-up mode. Some are there to play more casually, some are there to get easier wins. But NOT ALL SQUADS are there for the exact same thing. Period. Get over it.

Why dont you practice what you preach?
You will deal with whatever so what are you arguing about?
Keep it moving then.

Re: Matchmaking in Rec is awful.
It's not the fact 5 players on the team who know each other are the biggest problem.
I've won plenty of games when we got 5 and they got 5.
I've LOST plenty of games when we have 5 and they have 5.
I'm generally more up than down.
But whats ANNOYING are the specific strategies that teams use that exploit the game's MECHANICS rather than beating us with viable BASKETBALL tactics.
This is a cycle we go through every year tho.
Can you imagine if they hadn't patched the behind thw back this year?Comment

Re: Matchmaking in Rec is awful.
I play Rec so I don’t have to run into AS MANY. However, if I do, I don’t bitch about it like you do.
And if I can continue to make 6-figures a year while ‘making burgers’, so be it.Comment

The problem wasn’t the behind-the-back IMO, it was the Tight Handles badge that completely froze the defender, with no counter badge to stop it from happening.Comment

Re: Matchmaking in Rec is awful.
Making stuff up now?
Nobody has said anything close to that....
If that is what you got from the discussions then you are very “special” .

Re: Matchmaking in Rec is awful.
I did not say that at all.
Not even close.
I said 5 man squads (full) should be separated from solo players in matchmaking.
All others squads are fine in my book.
You are either confusing me with someone else or you are making stuff up or you are “ special “ .
So which of the 3 options is it?
