Pretty sure jrc is on superstar but do share if this is changed.

No online mode is on HOF as far as i know but again do share if that is the case.

I used to play head to head and my custom
Leagues where on hof when we could fantasy draft with just 4 to 8 teams back when howard was still on the magic...

We stopped that since 2K took it out.

I play with all time teams on hof on the regular against my cousin , although he also started this year with myplayer so that might be in the past as well.

Pretty sure they were going to go into next gen with green releases and probably still might seeing its way too late for an overhaul in shooting mechanics. But hopefully this will convince them of their folly and redesign everything next year.

If they built it from the ground up as they say then next gen would've been a great opportunity to leave green release last gen. There is no overhaul in the future if they refuse to leave that **** green mechanic in.

I doubt it. It's still a problem in the COD community.

I'm currently retired from PS4. I'll buy again when prices go down on the PS5.

smh. 2K says there's a 'skill gap' though so it's probably just he's really amazing at 2k...

Ima make a perimeter lock my next build just so I can clamp these chuckers up and then watch them go 7-25 haha

The problem is this game hasn't been judged on BASKETBALL for years. Do they even quality test their game. Do the Devs ever monitor Rec or Pro Am Gameplay???

It's obvious the only metric 2K is using is revenue and Twitter and YouTube PR.
If the masses don't like something (even if it's realistic), it's patched to dumb down the game so that they don't get 2K anxiety about sucking.

2K's mission has changed from "make the best basketball game simulation ever" to "make as much money as possible." EA 2.0

It wasn't this bad before tbh or even at launch. They couldn't hit 3's off the dribble only pure sharps could then i dunno what they did to shooting.

I think they gave the casuals what they wanted for current gen as they focus on the next.

In my dream world 2k would split into two games , one for sim and one for Park.

It just always seems crazy to me that they would think they could develop one uniform game mechanic that would work for sim players doing a franchise as well as users playing against each other on a playground lol

Why do you think running behind screens and shooting is a 2k problem and why do you think those exact same players who play this way, would pick up Live and run real plays from an NBA offense?

I think some of these complaints are odd to me for an online game. I don't care how people play on the team I'm going against, and on my own team I don't care as long as they're not trolling and passing the ball to open players. Beyond that, how else do you expect to get into a setting with 9 other individuals and expect to see a full basketball sim? If people lack general basketball fundamentals like spacing, cutting to the rim, passing to the mismatch, etc, you can't expect the developer to change that. Kids pick up the stick, spam turbo and steal, spam screens, etc.

It's almost like picking up call of duty and getting pissed at Infinity Ward because nobody plays like real war, they just camp shotguns in corners and run around. Even in tactical game modes you can't control how they play the game.

Yeah you completely missed my point...

                            There's nothing odd about --

expecting a basketball simulation to idk...play like a basketball simulation..(the GAME dynamics not the players), like the company and the gameplay director "claims" with his supposed "sim" blog posts that are designed to give the impression that he or they still gaf about the sport his videogame is pretending to represent. 2K isn't basketball, 2K isn't real strategy, 2K is a glorified NBA Jam. Yet in blog posts "oh hey sim nation, we changed this mechanism to more accurately represent blah blah blah". Nah dude, it's been several years and the supposed realism they spend 11 months supposedly perfecting, gives way every year via pacifying patches to the outpouring of twitter tweens crying about realism. Who cares about new mechanisms when the gameplay balance or online sliders (even in pro-am) are trash.

Is NBA 2K a simulation basketball game or not? With esports, if a pro-am team is wagering $1000 game or something, should they expect intentional unrealistic gameplay or no? If 2K just came out and said they were in the same category of NBA Jam, I don't think anyone would complain or object to that. Like wouldn't it be nice for once that realism actually got rewarded and iq was the dominant factor, not if your J is glitchy or not. The cheesers would flood twitter with their tears.

I'm not expecting the players to be better, I know most 2K randoms are trash. What I expect is a company to stop lying about their product.

It's 2020 and the Cheesers have officially won the war.

I'm hoping that they be able to keep charge/block calls in for offline play next gen when they inevitably remove it for online play, because there is no way that Twitter and YouTube will "allow" those calls to remain in any H2H mode.

Unfortunately, until a competitor comes along, 2K will likely continue to do whatever it thinks will earn them the most money. Right now, that's appealing to casual fans, product placement/ads, and borderline pay-to-win mechanics.
