If it were the case of shoe companies asking for an amount of compensation then his statement isn’t unreasonable. We have no idea what’s going on but 2k’s feelings aren’t going to be hurt.

Exactly. I don't know why this guy takes it as a personal attack on his feelings whenever there's even the slightest possible criticism of 2K.

Regardless, a quick statement from 2K about the lack of sneaker additions would quickly clear this up. Their silence on the matter only further fuels speculation that it's simply not a priority for them.

The fact they haven’t added anything suggests perhaps 2K isn’t willing to pay up what the shoe companies are demanding for the use of new designs.

Not trying to be the police but this is crazy. We randomly speculated that shoe companies werent getting shoes in because of a licensing deal on virtual itEms. You then took this random speculation and said it suggests “2k is not willing to pay the money the shoe companies are demanding” lmao thats insane bro. No one says the shoe companies are demanding anything . Lol nike also has what 50 pairs of shoes in the game? I doubt they are conducting business like “you can keep every kobe shoe in the game but you need to pay these big dollars to get giannis 3’s?” . Or are you making anther leap that nike is only asking for money for new shoes and every other shoe before this year can stay in?

Its just wild how ppl take a hypothesis about why shoes may not be in… ( this is not fact by any means) and then spin that in a way to blame 2k. Now were blaming 2k for not paying for the new shoes even though we have ZERO knowledge that nike is asking 2k for money to get a giannis shoe in lol

I don’t think he meant to “blame” 2k. These are all businesses at the end of the day, they have to negotiate when it comes to interacting with each other. It doesn’t make them the good or bad guy if they aren’t willing to pay a certain asking price for a product or service.

You’re absolutely correct about us not knowing anything because know one involved is saying anything. We could be completely wrong about any theory we cook up.

For all we know one person is behind the shoes and they just don’t feel like it. It’s likely not true but I think these random group speculations are fun, engaging, and good for the sub’s morale until there’s a future update. Without engagement this sub will fade away until people stop checking for it and creating it each year.

This sub is the least considered when it comes to game feedback and it’s still here, without developer engagement, and minimal content. All that’s left is to blow off steam, post the edits, and speculate. think the kicksof2k IG account might even be bored this year lmao. What’s 2k gonna do about it, not upload shoes? Lol. At least we aren’t the NBA live sub. They don’t even have anything to speculate about anymore smh.

Of course Ja has been wearing KD4s alot lately and they don't have old KDs in the game

I always wondered why a couple of older KD models were available in recent years. I know the 7’s were only available in the mycareer store and oddly unavailable for editing.
