Ugh...2k really needs to update the crowd noise. That 3point shot for a tie at 12:09 should be WAY louder.

I’ve been hoping for a total revamp of crowd and crowd noise forever. This is something 2K does not do well at. But, to be fair, I don’t think anyone has ever done a crowd really well.

            Re: NBA 2K24 Videos

I guess it's all about expectations, because this is in line with what I expected from ProPlay. Remember that this isn't a completely new gameplay engine, realtime physics system, or fully replacing the animation system. This blends in with the engine and animations already in the game. I've said it before but it seems really similar to FieldSense sense in Madden, with a little more emphasis on signature styles. Just like Fieldsense didn't change Madden into a completely new game, 2k is still going to be 2k even with ProPlay.

But I'm catching small things here and there beyond signature styles. Some of the transitions between animations look smoother and more fluid. I'm seeing some nice look animations including passes, blocks, layups, hook shots, dunks. Even the way some plays move with the ball whether walking or running.

Now I will add this caveat, I always play broadcast cam and a lot of these videos are the 2k cam, so it is possible that there is a bit of a placebo effect and some animations just look different because it's an angle I'm not accustom too.

I think this is going to make playing with and against different teams a lot of fun and I can imagine this being a game where I'm still notice little things months after release.

Not sure if this one from BlaqKobra was posted; he’s been popular recently with his rec videos.

See, this looks exactly like 2K23 gameplay to me (since it’s not using proplay). Maybe someone with a more detailed eye can pinpoint differences. The core animations and moves look exactly like 2K23 imo. I’m sure the new animations in stuff like inbound passes and in between moments will be there, but I don’t see much difference otherwise.

Which leads me to believe those playing in eras or playing as legends won’t notice tons of difference.

2K23 was the first time in a while that the “Little Things” thread was still being commented in this late in the cycle.

With the animation library being doubled and even tripled in some cases I expect to see even more of that this year.

For me, the presence ProPlay is about as obvious as an accessory missing or color tone being off for others. Just a part of the game I invest in. That barrage of Curry/Klay pull up shots in Cliques video were beautiful

Actually Doc look up NBA Live 10 crowd noise on YouTube. Just close your eyes and listen lol

That game has an option to pick what type of atmosphere you can play as well.

Idk if you remember my immersion thread from a decade ago, but I'm still hearing the same crowd sounds (woman yelling, those whistles). Those were from 2k9 at that point. After that the next update was 2k17 and they still don't really sound authentic.

Speaking of crowds, whatever happened to towel waving? Last update to crowd animations was what 2k16? They still have the cardboard heads cutouts and letter signs from 2k16 with slight updates. I look at the Fifa series and it's crazy how realistic the crowds are in that in look and sound. Even NHL has decent crowds, not to the same level of Fifa, but definitely 2nd best in look and sound. Madden and 2k are far behind with Madden being PS3 era in everything but pixel count.

                          Re: NBA 2K24 Gameplay Videos

They really need to add baggy clothes for 90's to 2000 nbody dress like that..
and the dribbling is to fast and the feet shuffles.

where is the side by side proplay by durant movement? it should be that much speed only they should put weight in this players.

most of this movement is for park online players.

Wemby is not proportion to his body and the movement is to fast same as to Jokic he doesnt move that fast.

2K needs to add a trigger that make dribbling slow the moment the player spam it. like from the 3rd dribble it start to change speed or something. they need to balance players movement with dribbling and how much space they move around the court. ive seen so many videos already taking half the court with 2 dribbles or just side steps.

Highlight replay still not showing the full play they just cut direclty to the basket.

Players stepping out of bounds and sliding to 3 point line most of the time.

Instead of all this praising about the game they should focus on pointing out the flaws that needs to be updated as 2k might missed it because they to focus on other mode of the game.

Can any jersey heads tell me if they’ve ever gotten a concrete reason why classic team uniforms can’t be equipped with warmups?

There isn't one. They just haven't diverted the resources for it. Notice the 90s Bulls had them last year for the Jordan Challenge for their starting lineup intro. No other team got that treatment.

There are actually quite a few retro warmups in the game files; they’re just unassigned by default. No idea why. Maybe they were added purely as MyTeam swag rewards or something.
