The most vocal dudes in here don’t even own the game 😂 this is the best gameplay 2K has had in a long time and y’all really gonna say it’s the most “skipable”………. To each their own but there’s definitely some Twitter acting dudes on OS these days, at least the entertainment value is high on here lol

Except I do own the game . It’s called being honest and suggesting to those who DONT, to not pay full price for a game that isn’t really superior to the one that they already own. Bad investment.. If I would’ve known then what I know now, then I certainly would not currently own what is clearly the most bug infested 2k ever.. like I said, SKIPPABLE

The gameplay is very good and yes ProPlay has made the game better…but honestly gameplay is always good…with or without ProPlay. . I think what’s more wack is when people like y’all come into threads like this (that don’t have nothing to do with gameplay) sneak dissing and trying to shame others for not measuring their level of enjoyment off of gameplay alone. Clearly gameplay isn’t the end all be all. People have the right to value other aspects of the game, and voice their critiques and concerns, when those aspects aren’t up to par

And the issues I listed are factual issues that happen to apply to how I play the game. The court editor glitches mean I can’t edit the bulls court like I always do as it would now have beige and also the text would be completely wrong and glitched. The broadcast key zoom glitch would mean I would have to play with a camera I don’t like as much which means visual quality of life of that PLUS the regressed court wood and various graphics/lighting PLUS beige edited court and glitched court text mean for ME is a significant downgrade. Stuff like the bulls jersey black patch isn’t a game breaker as much as an added annoyance.

Is proplay worth overlooking all of that? For many, yes, as my way of playing 2K is very specific to me and somehow it’s like 2K trolled me with breaking nearly every little OCD thing I require. But people also gotta remember many of us who use classic players and rosters don’t benefit from proplay anyway. It’s still mocap.

I just don’t feel this game justifies me rewarding 2K with my money and time. And 2K23 plays so good how I have it set up and I appreciate how excellent it visually looks even more now. Player editor screen included lol. If I played only modern era teams then I’d definitely get 2K24 for proplay.

I have no doubt gameplay is incredible. Gameplay on 2K23 is already incredible and anything above that is even more incredible. But there’s a lot more to a game than that especially if I’m gonna invest tons of time into rosters and sliders.

When it goes on sale for $7 and I get my storage expansion card so I don’t have to juggle space then maybe I’ll get it cause why not.

I just hope 2K fix those glitches next year. I highly doubt they will this year, remains to be seen.

The game still looks good to me in HDR on an Oled and gameplay & animations are much better then 23

Anyway, i buy the game on Playstation 5 yesterday...

You don't have to have or not have the game to complain about your problems, there is social media today. Just like you can buy the game and still complain about everything you didn't like...that's how life works.

I'll talk about what I think later, but so far:

- The game doesn't look that bad on the screen, on YouTube it looked pretty bad.
- The new TV camera is very similar to the old 2K ones, if you deactivate the zoom in the key, you will have great gameplay! In the center of the court, players zoomed in, without that hateful zoom out from 2K23.
- Photomode is really amazing!

You can ask whatever you want, and remember, THIS IS A GRAPHICS TOPIC!

Exactly. We know gameplay is better. As it should be.

But the graphics are another issue. And even if we call it subjective, the court lighting/reflections are a fundamental aspect of the game and the court is about 70% of what you stare at on your screen when playing a 2K.

It’s also interesting that they’d go to a matte/non reflective finish because if we recall, when they launched 2K21 next gen one of their most prominent advertisements in the initial gameplay previews was showing how detailed the glossy wood and paint on the courts were (you could see indentations and markings on the paint, etc.). Even when I play 2K23, when you pause the game the camera proudly goes super close to the wood to show it in all its glossy detailed glory.

That’s why my theory is though perhaps it’s a really bad artistic choice, I just can’t find logic in that. I believe they must have ran into some hiccups in GPU power when packing all they have into the game and they had to detune certain things like lighting, wood, reflections, editor screen resolution, resulting in various more cartoony elements.

It would also explain glaring oversights like beige colors when selecting “no paint” in the court editor, not being able to put spaces between texts in the baseline, and sideline text being so misaligned it goes onto the court itself. Key zoom apparently being stuck on in broadcast mode, etc. These are things they need to fix but the game is so packed with content and money making online modes it’s disconcerting to think future 2K’s will carry the issues.

yes as it should be..thats why nobody go to any rec,my player or any online mode and then complain about the NBA side of the graphics.

we dont even cry about your my player looking like clowns asking for more dowdy clothes.

people has valid reason to voice their opinion and criticize or suggest regarding the visual side, in threads such as "Art feedback and General impression" of the game.

Idk about anyone else the difference in look and motion while playing compared to replays or camera cuts is so starkly different to the eye its some what jarring... the camera cuts motion reminds me of when they showed pro play or whatever it is with real Kevin Durant with game Durant..

^ I notice(d) it as well. The cut scenes for transitions after made baskets look noticeably different than the gameplay; that could be a good thing but it just looks off to me (my daughter has FIFA 23 and its motion technology looks better to me--the cut scenes flow in a seamless transition imo).

After watching comparison videos on YouTube, I finally put both *2K24 and *2K23 in to compare the graphics myself. Granted I only play with classic teams, but players and courts look better to me on 2K23. I'm going to finish the final Mamba Moment and go back to 2K23 after seeing the difference on my own tv.

Yeah it’s because the switch version is using old gen which is basically still 2K20. Which oddly now means that the courts look better lol.
