The problem is they keep adding new features that don't work properly and leaving the game in that state until the next year... Where they add a new feature that doesn't work properly on top of an old feature that wasn't working properly.

One example of this is adding the ability to hire a training staff and practice types that speed up injury recovery to an unrealistic level. This was placed on top of an injury system that allowed unrealistic recovery times. So now you have players returning from a Torn Achilles in 3-4 months. And not just 1 or 2 edge cases. This recovery time is the norm.

I'm just advocating that they clean up the stuff they added at the very least.

They haven't touched the horrible generated draft classes for years. Its ridiculous. They can't make the players look normaI? I would like to hit auto generate and continue playing instead of editing everything. Editing wouldn't be so bad if you didn't have to edit a black guy with orange hair and green eyes non stop. Same draft types. 7'3 monster 6'5 godly point guard. They don't touch it at all.

Presentation is so stale. Commentary rambles on about non sense you heard a thousand times. Halftime show stale. 2k comments every year we have the deepest franchise. Which is correct but can you update the little things sometimes. Pre game presentation. Show more stats instead of a reporter talking. Show more stats during the games. They literally do nothing. I'm not into Eras so to me they've done nothing for years. Well they did add the scorebug during games BUT it should be showing scores from around the league. I could ramble on and on and on about tiny improvements they could make but dont

A draft overhaul is my #1 wish, the current system is awful. Outside of the taller than average generational players, the rest of the prospects completely stink. Why is a 5'9 23 year old PG going top 5? I love when a prospect compared to LeBron has 75 speed and a 68 vert or an Artest comparison has 65 defense.

Madden gets the draft system right, lots of fun to use players in their drafts.

Also, can the CPU actually sign their 2nd round picks? That's been an issue for years that can't be that hard to fix.

I agree generated Draft classes needs a make over and last in your franchise
That's why I make my own classes

Another thing 2k needs to is put in potential caps for rookies
I get tired of all good shooter max out to 99 Mid&threes
It kills the suspense of realism in MYNBA

Yeah see the foundation is there for them to have players develop better based on their archetypes. The in season training exists and players have multiple player types available at each position.

If someone is drafted as an outside scorer archetype their ratings should progress heavily in that direction and their maxes should be more realistic.

We don’t need everyone progressing in everything across the board unrealistically

Just a quick question as someone who's playing on PC and didn't have a chance to play the eras mod so far - how realistic are the rosters and picks situation? Do the Celtics have all of their own picks or is there an option to have the picks traded as they were in 2011 for example? Thank you

Almost all the teams have at least 8 real players. Some teams have 13 real players but it's pretty rare. There's some bigger name guys that are missing though.

Teams do have draft picks from other teams as well.

Just curious, since I'm a newer 2K player. What do people want done with MyNBA. Having played pretty much every major sports game MyNBA is by far the most detailed and in depth franchise mode in any sports game right now. I can do pretty much everything I want and need to do in it.

I can certainly understand a mode like this feeling stale after playing it for many years but I'm just curious what people's wish list for the mode are.

I want some basic semblance of common sense from the AI when it comes to roster building. Seeing a team draft a center, sign another expensive center, trading away a guard for yet another center, while also already having a $20mil+/yr center in the starting lineup… Yea that drives me crazy. Flipping through the team rosters after simulating an offseason and seeing obvious, massive gaps at multiple positions for as long as I can remember playing The Association/MyNBA.

I also want the team responsible for the simulation stats to actually work alongside the roster team so that sim stats come close to reflecting real life. Every year there are certain stats massively inflated or deflated compared to IRL averages. After a decade straight with the same exact issues, at some point they need to at least pretend that they’re trying to get things right. The fact that we can correct sim stats with a few MyNBA slider tweaks proves this must not be some impossible issue to resolve, they just need someone to spend a couple days running sims, tweaking sliders, and then doing it again until it turns out right.

And finally, get some storylines going and add some presentation in the menus to highlight these narratives. Maybe a new big 3 was formed and they massively underperformed expectations, leading to one of the 3 being vocal about their desire to leave. Have teams start bidding on trade offers and highlight reporting that shows a team is close to securing a trade, or a star on an expiring contract is refusing to play for specific teams if traded to them, really anything. We see these storylines literally every season, and it’s what makes the modern game so exciting to follow.

In short, make the trade deadline and off-season exciting.

Since next gen 2k has basically done nothing for modern mynba. At least fix draft classes. I mean it's been the same for like 8 years. Even Madden updated draft classes. No updates to mygm although it's mynba now. My biggest thing is the horrible draft classes. I like the score ticker during games but it needs more. Scores from around the league. More stat overlays. I've been wishing for more stat overlays for over 6 years. If a guy has 2 points and 5 rebounds on the other team I wanna know. I wanna know what every player is during on the other team without pausing it. Its called immersion. Franchise games feel like play now games

I have been saying it for years and I will say it again, 2K needs to hand craft 80 different draft classes. They could randomize the order or let us pick which ones. The classes can range from weak classes like 2000 to a stacked class like 2003.

Hell, 2K could even make some era specific ones with guys named and having the look of the 80s and 90s. We have reached a point where the random generated prospects just do not work.

Handcrafted players offer limitless replay ability. You can create storylines (son of former player, collegiate phenom, late bloomer) about the players that the commentary actually references. The league gets new blood and stories every year. Not only that but you can craft unique players with unique shots and signature mannerisms.

2K only needs to add the handcrafted classes one year and then they can just copy and paste it with a few new players here and there.

Injury Lengths are unrealistically short due to Training Staff badges/ratings:

Well I am pretty sure that the injury length issue from this year is because of the ability to have a training staff with unrealistic badges (i.e. a trainer who has a Hall of Fame level ability to help you recover from a broken leg in just 2 weeks makes little sense).


Scouting is too easy due to scouting staff:

The Scout department can be OP for the user allowing you to basically 100% scout the entire projected 1st and 2nd round by the end of the season.


Generated Coaches have pictures of real coaches sometimes:

There's a weird thing where generated coaches are given pictures of real current coaches. You'll only notice that if you play 5-10 years deep into the mode. The images they get are not correlated with the avatar. Black generated coaches with Mike Malone's picture for example.


GM/expired deals forever:

If you take control of a team and then set it back to be CPU controlled the team's GM will have an expired contract that never ends. So, if you're like me and takeover all teams after the draft to make sure 2nd rounders are getting signed to Two-Way deals there will be no GM movement.


And just because this better be fixed in the next version I'm mentioning it everywhere...
2nd rounders don't get signed: Ever. Under any settings. If you have CPU re-sign aggressiveness set to 100 they will at least offer the 2nd rounders a contract during free agency. That has the knock-on effect of them also re-signing all of their own free agents all the time as well (stifling player movement).

Yeah, it’s frustrating how 2K seems to be shifting focus away from MyNBA. A lot of us still love the single-player modes and want them to get proper attention. Hope they realize they're neglecting a dedicated fan base!

These draft classes are straight up neglect. I know you can edit and download but we should have the option of just clicking auto generate and having a normal looking draft class. It's the NBA. Faces are a huge part of the experience. You hit auto generate then the next season you have black guys with green eyes and orange hair. So many guys with zero facial hair. The same mega prospects 7'3 can do everything 6'5 godly point guard. 5'9 point guards all over the place. It's ridiculous.

They imported the same horrible generated draft to one generation to the next. I thought they would at least update draft on next gen. Give us more save slots SOMETHING. I don't care about eras. One of the blogs reeked of arrogance. The guy said we have the deepest franchise so we're set. Yes but it's boring. It's not immersive. Haven't fixed bugs in years. Same stat overlays in games. Boring game intro with reporters instead of showing both team stats. Goofy Twitter feed instead of real news. It's the little things. I can go on and on but apparently 2k thinks it perfect
