Re: Badging Thread
I'm pretty sure some actions have double screens for any of the wing players where both bigs on the elbows set double screen for the wing to come around from the corner for a 3pt shot. I run horns set scoring actions too and I have gotten this action a few times for KD and Klay.Comment

Re: Badging Thread
He already has a rim protector badge.
For me, these are must:
Posterizer
Relentless
Brick wall
Need help to pick 3 from the following:
Acrobat
Defensive
Pick pocket - feels like a must with his 85 steal and to compensate for his low strength against post up bigs.
Post spin
Ankle breaker
Pick dodgerComment

Re: Badging Thread
I added posterizer and post spin on my Porzingis. I run horns scoring actions so having him at the elbow and spinning off when necessary is glitchy.
Going to add acrobat and defensive stopper next. That leaves me with 2 more slots. It's between brick wall, pick pocket, difficult shots and relentless finisher.
Also did anybody not put defensive stopper and notice he's already really solid as is? That could be another free slot I'll use elsewhere. I haven't really had any issues with him on defense his gold Rim Protector seems good enough.Comment

Re: Badging Thread
Concerning the KP Badging I went with
- Defensive Stopper (good against stretch 4 match-up)
- Brickwall (double screen actions or pick n fade)
- Relentless Finisher (I think you can't go wrong here, the more energy the more accurate the offensive end)
- Posterizer (because I like to smash the ball on opponents)
- Difficult Shots (with 86 Ball Controll you can ISO against other PFs and make use of it)
One slot is open but I tend to go with Acrobat.
Anklebreaker might be a thing tough if it really turns out to work. Does someone tried yet? Other option would be Pick Pocket, but I'm not sure if thats the badge for him... it seems like smaller players tend to steal way better in general...with 7'3 I dont know...Baron Peja Melo Issel Mutombo

Re: Badging Thread
I'm getting close to being able to finish the Lockdown set and get that glorious Team USA David Robinson, who is an absolute end game player for me. I'm going to run him at the 4 with Diamond Dikembe at the 5 to start. He comes with a ton of amazing badges, but I'm trying to figure out what to add. I know it's been discussed earlier in the thread, but my understanding of what badges do what has evolved over time, and I'm sure that's true for other people, so let's refresh the chat! With six spots to fill, let me know what you think and why. Here's what I'm looking at for The Admiral...
Catch & Shoot (for sure)
Corner Specialist (for sure)
Dimer (for sure)
Difficult Shots
Deep Range Deadeye
Acrobat
Tear Dropper

Re: Badging Thread
I like the idea of ankle breaker on KP, but they nerfed that badge a lot this year. However, would it be easier to break ankles with badge added if the opposing big men is bad on perimeter D?Comment

Re: Badging Thread
Maybe someone who equipped him with ankle breaker and tested could tell....anyone in here? [emoji1366][emoji1]

We don't know, but my guess would be that Pick Pocket buffs the success % odds of any given steal attempt. And, let's just say very loosely, you might get 1 to as many as 3 extra steals with the badge, that you wouldn't otherwise get.
If you could get 3 then that's a big deal, but would you think it worth it if you could get 1 or 2 only? Keep in mind that, just because he doesn't get the steal doesn't mean that he/the team still doesn't get the stop.
Also ask yourself if you actually try to rip the ball with a big in the paint.
The safe bets would be Acrobat and Post Spin. I think both are pretty much no-brainers. Enough that I would take a hard look at those two versus Brick Wall and even Defensive Stopper to determine what would be most used and most impactful.
I would let go of Ankle Breaker. It seems that the effect of that is increasing the % rate of the stumbling animation for a defender, but those occur quite infrequently, even when someone has the badge. I don't feel as if I get them to happen more than twice in a game with a particular player, at most.
And I believe that only size-ups can trigger the ankle-breaking animation, which means the Turbo moves. And you might not want to be pulling those much, with Porzingis, for Stamina reasons.Comment

Re: Badging Thread
All my badges for KP are gold except the shooting ones and dimer but I'll be badging that to gold soon. So far I've added
Post Spin
Acrobat
Relentless
Posterizer
That leaves me with two more slots. I'm shying away from brick wall because he sets good screens for me already but I think I'll be adding defensive stopper for sure. I've played against all the top post player cards (except Diamond AD and PD Wilt) but have noticed KP can get stuck at times in animations due to his low strength and their players badges activating. I don't think I need pick pocket because if you can manual steal at the right time, the ball will either come loose or trigger that pick up ball animation (annoying). So for my last slot I think I'll leave it empty for now and work on getting all his shooting badges to gold.Last edited by K_Aug; 02-21-2017, 07:42 PM.Comment
