How well does the Interceptor badge work against those cheesy passes in the paint? I might have to start equipping some onto my big men.

Re: Badging Thread
There is no interceptor badge this year. The biggest influence on stealing post entry passes is the pass intercept tendency Imo.Comment

Re: Badging Thread
Good info on Relentless Finisher earlier, thanks.
I'm thinking about badges for this new Game Breaker Ruby Jamal Crawford. Normally I'm too stingy to put anything better than pick pocket on a ruby, but Jamal has been a favorite ever since he was drafted by my Bulls back in 2000. He has great shooting badges and then 4 slots available. Here is what I'm considering:
Dimer
Acrobat
One man fast break
Lob city passer
Other options could be Posterizer (not sure he dunks enough to take advantage) or Catch & Shoot or Relentless Finisher (kinda expensive). Any thoughts?Remember your roots:

Re: Badging Thread
Just got Elgin today. He's replacing Jimmy Butler as my starting SG. I am for sure adding defensive stopper, catch & shoot and posterizer on him. The last 3 slots, I'm torn between post spin, corner specialist, dimer, pick & roll maestro and pick dodger.Comment

Comes With:- Deep Range Deadeye
- Difficult Shots
- Limitless Range
- Mid-Range Deadeye
- Tear Dropper
- Ankle Breaker (HoF)
- Flashy Passer
- Pick & Roll Maestro
Badges to Add:- Corner Specialist: Obvious.
- Catch & Shoot: Normally mandatory, but I could understand if you intend to play hero ball with JC, and dominate the ball with him. But if you use him rationally, C&S is a must.
- Acrobat: Between this and Relentless, this is probably the more important finishing badge. Ultra low dunk Tendencies.
- Relentless Finisher: I guess should be considered, still.
- Dimer: I'd say this is basically mandatory, given how one will tend to play JC.
- Defensive Stopper: If you want to mitigate his horrible defense and will be playing him in games in which you really care about his real +/-.
Me, personally, I think I'd go with a "serious" balance like: Catch & Shoot, Acrobat, Dimer, Defensive Stopper.
I guess One Man Fast Break makes perfect sense too, but I never take that badge before any of those listed above.
But if you just want to optimize hero/offense, then: Corner Specialist, Catch & Shoot, Acrobat, Relentless Finisher or One Man Fast Break.
I might just hold on to 1 or even 2 extra, in case I decide that I want to change badging.Comment

I have only a few Rubies that are badged up but will badge this Jamal Crawford, since it's the best we'll get (presumably).

Re: Badging Thread
A couple things to add to knowledge on badges...
1. I had Teardropper activate on a post-up hook drive.
2. P&R Maestro has a time window in which can activate, like Putback Artist. I had a play when my Manu ran P&R with Hibbert. Drove after screen, passed to Hibbert in paint. Hibbert passes out to corner man who passes to Manu, who had drifted out to wing. Shoot a three, hit it, and see that P&R Maestro activates. The window is longer than one would imagine.Last edited by harryl; 04-02-2017, 10:37 AM.Comment

Re: Badging Thread
Confirmed. I have tear drop, acrobat, difficult shots on my diamond Dwight, and this badges activate on all kind of inside stuff.
And difficult shots are good for post scorers. It activates on fading post hop shots. Don't know if it activates on regular fades... But on fading hop shots it does

Re: Badging Thread
I don't know what the relevant thread is, but check out Dave Bing's tendencies and then check out his attributes. I know 2k likes to copy and paste players, but it seems pretty obvious that they copied and pasted his tendencies from a big man.
37 Block with an 85 Block tendency? 60 driving dunk with a 99 Alley Oop tendency? 50 Offensive Rebound with a 67 Putback Dunk tendency? 75 Shot Close, 30 Shot Mid, 1 Shot 3 tendency? I've heard that he's one of the best finishers in the game, so I guess that would stand to reason.
This has got me really interested in labbing tendencies.Comment

I wonder if his tendencies on D are a problem. The low Steal/Interception tendencies are bad, in terms of inaction, the high Block tendency with low Block rating is bad in terms of futile action, and the high Foul tendencies are bad in terms of detrimental action.
There may also be copying and pasting in sections, not overall.
I noticed something in playing a CPU Sabonis in one of those recent challenges and it bears out in the Tendencies: http://2kmtcentral.com/17/players/80...nis/tendencies
He kept taking stepback three pointers. Would be wide open and would not need to take a stepback, except maybe to make it a three instead of a two, but his moving shot ratings are bad, so it's a really bad that he has a 90 Stepback Jumper tendency. But most of his other tendencies seem about right, or not particularly wrong to me.Last edited by harryl; 04-03-2017, 04:22 PM.Comment

Re: Badging Thread
Has badges for the new Oscar card been discussed yet? He comes well equipped. I upgraded his silver poster to gold and then added rim protector and bruiser. He has 4 spots left. I could go with post badges but wondering what everyone else has done to theirs.Comment

Re: Badging Thread
Rim Protector
Post Spin Technician
Brick Wall
Pick & Popper
On my first unit, every single player has Brick Wall, Pick & Popper and Catch & Shoot so I can set effective screens with anyone anytime. It's kind of cool to smack a guy with an unexpected hard screen from Paul Pierce or Oscar Robertson to free up a shooter or draw the double and get a wide open 3 from the screen setter.End Game Lineup: http://2kmtcentral.com/17/lineups/10...ine-end-lineup
